This sounds silly but it was my first time at a landfill and I was excited to dispose of my trash. I went in super early on a Sunday and arrived at 630am, as they open at 7am. I was told that vehicles start lining up pretty quickly and a line starts to form with the end wrapping around the block some days. I was the 3rd truck in line that day, YaY me! The staff was super friendly and super helpful because I had no idea what I was doing or where to go. I was like a kid on a field trip which they thought was pretty amusing. I wasn't prepared to discard the trash myself (hey I didn't know) until I saw what everyone else was doing with quick puzzled glances my way as I was just sitting in my truck. Ha. Noted. I am a quick learner. Glad I keep gloves in my truck. I was in and out in less than 30 min. It was a successful first time experience. I might add I left feeling mentally refreshed after chucking and throwing everything in the back of my truck into the huge pile on the ground. Bonus points on my first experience, if I do say so myself. Remember, arrive early if you don't want to wait in line for awhile. As I was happily leaving refreshed feeling a tip tier level of accomplishment for the day, I drove past the line of cars stretched around the corner 15+ cars deep. Don't say you weren't warned. This is the 3rd week in a row where republic services either misses trash, bulk and or recycling. Literally 3 weeks in a row. I'm convinced you people hate your job and don't know shit. You people are lazy and refuse to own up to your mistakes. I've called numerous times for pickup, nothing happens. Now, it seems that phone doesn't get picked up... been calling today for over an hour. It's time to clean house RS, your leadership is weak and pathetic. Because of your negligence, I'm forced to put trash inside the recycling bin. Bags of leaf cuttings and pine needles had to be brought in because you refused to pick up bulk on bulk days. Republic Services has not delivered Our black trash bin that was supposed to be delivered on June 24th 2026, today is July 15th 2026. We did receive Our Blue Recycling Bin on 06/24/2026, as stated Black bin has not arrived. The reason trash bins needed to be replaced was due to theft of Our trash bins. We notify Republic their Rep. says it will be out next week. It has not shown up yet. Requested to speak with Supervisor, but it was never happen. I would like to Recognize Rick who picks up our garbage in Reverie Neighborhood of Lake Las Vegas as going up and beyond the call of duty. We just moved here from Seattle and had a mountain of cardboard boxes from Moving and the recycle collector driver just left them in the street. I'd rate negative 100 stars if I could. Their driver hit our bush and messed it up and dealing with management to correct the problem has been a nightmare. Their driver is a sneak too. He tried to put the broken pieces back in the bush to hide his mistake instead of owning up to it. HORRIBLE COMPANY that gives you the run around over solving issues. This happened in Henderson in the SVR houses on Boulder Hwy . There is no excuse for this but , there should have been many people fired for their actions and lack of actions . How does the trash truck drive up and down the streets and forget to dump not 1 but 2 objects of waste outside 2 different residents on the same street ???? And when the drivers pick up trash at times they will leave papers , broken glass etc. on the ground , why can't they do a better job ? Carry a broom and shovel and clean up the messes you make .... On occasions, trash tends to spill over onto the street as the trash receptacle is being lifted and the trash is dumped into the truck. I've seen several drivers pull away clearly aware that some of the contents were left on the street. However, what I personally witnessed today was the driver get out of his truck, walk over and pick up the contents that fell out of the receptacle onto the street. After putting the trash back into the receptacle, he then sent the can up a second time ensuring that it was empty. Taking the time to exit the truck in 100+ degree weather I thought showed commitment to his work and a desire in wanting to provide good customer service. With that said, I wanted to take a moment and commend the driver. Although, I did not get his name, he was driving truck #1699 and was in the Inspirada area. The drivers look for a BLACK trash can on trash day. Republic gave me a BLUE trash can! They assured me that this was not going to be a problem, even though everyone in my neighborhood has black trash cans and blue recycling cans. So, about once every 2 or 3 months I have to call Republic to have my trash picked up because the driver missed it on trash day. I have asked several times to have the blue can replaced with a black can in hopes this would resolve the problem. Although Republic agents tell me they will replace it NEVER GETS DONE! read more

Worst service ever. Never picked up bulk on time. I recently moved into a new home (about two months ago), and I've had scheduled bulk pickup service six times since then. Unfortunately, every time scheduled pickups have been missed, and no one has come by to collect the items. This has been particularly frustrating as I'm still unpacking and generating a fair amount of bulk trash. Since pickups are scheduled on Fridays and your offices are closed over the weekend, I'm often left with large items sitting out for several days. Given how windy it gets in the area, the trash sometimes blows into neighboring yards, which isn't ideal for me or my neighbors. To manage the overflow, I've keep making trips to the local dump myself--but I'd really like to rely on the service I'm paying for. Customer service is nice, but not amount of complaining is making any impact on the ability for them to make it to my house when scheduled. read more

My recent visit to the Republic Transfer Dump Station left me thoroughly frustrated due to the exorbitantly long wait time. The facility itself seemed well-maintained and organized, but the wait time overshadowed any positive aspects. Spending an excessive amount of time in line was not only inconvenient but also time-consuming. It significantly diminished the overall experience and left me feeling disappointed. I urge the management of the Republic Transfer Dump Station to address this issue promptly. Improving staffing levels and implementing more efficient processes would greatly enhance customer satisfaction and mitigate the frustration caused by prolonged waiting. it amazes me that you pay $55 a month to have three cans picked up once a week and it used to be twice a week and they brought it down to once a week. It still charges the same amount of money actually more now I don't know how many times that I only put out one can or two or sometimes none but if you want to bring a load to the dump on cape horn Street your drivers license has to match the address on the bill otherwise they refuse and a 5 x 10 dump truck full of clean rock. They wanted to charge me $160 and I said my license doesn't match the address because I have, different addresses multiple places what does it matter to you? My name is on the bill from that address and I paid the bill but yet I can't go dump there and I look at it like this if I paid that much money for three garbage cans and I only put one garbage can I don't know how many time a year . This review is for the dump site, which I didn't even know existed until this past weekend. I was in the process of moving my storage unit for work. I used to live in this area, and needed to move my unit closer to where I now live, which is a good half hour away. I wasn't sure how to do this, so I'm thankful I looked at Yelp and actually found that Republic Services has a dumping site nearby! I had no idea. I called them just to make sure I was able to do it. The woman on the phone was sooo nice and helpful. She gets 5 stars. Great customer service there. The three stars is for the dumpsite cuz it was what Yelp says when you plug in three stars... okay. I pulled up about a half hour before they were closing (at 3pm) and figured I had plenty of time. Wrongo. This line was baaaacked up. I think I was the only non-truck person there, but don't worry, my little Toyota Corolla was filled with junk I needed to get rid of. As I'm waiting in this line in my car, I noticed the billion of birds over here. Damn, there are a lot of birds swarming. After waiting about a half hour in my car, and with a few minutes before they were going to close, I made it! WOO! I tried joking with the woman who took my ID to check me in, but she wasn't interested. She handed me a pink slip and told me to head to dumpsite 2. Okie dokie. Though I had no idea where that was. Luckily, there was a guy standing there and he directed me. As I approached the warehouse of garbage, I was greeted by another guy. Again, he was fine. There are signs everywhere that say no phones. I'm assuming they don't want anyone to document how clearly depressing it is how much waste we as human beings go through. I get it. The man told me where to go and park next to some white car. I pulled in and as soon as I got out, I was approached by another guy working there who simply was motioning me to turn my car around. HA. Funny he thought I could back my car into anywhere. Anyway, I was able to do it by the grace of God. After I was done, that man came over to help me which I thought was nice. Maybe because I was the only female in a mile... Idk. But I appreciated it!! "Throw it anywhere?????" I asked. "Throw it anywhere!" he responded. What?! It was weirdly liberating... just tossing shit on a pile of more shit. He gets 5 stars for helping me. One has to wonder if the delay has anything to do with customers not driving half way to Utah to dump at Apex and the overhead saved from keeping the main dump on Cheyenne closed. Republic Services did not pick up our trash on May 17th. We contacted them online and the automated response was that they would pick it up the next business day. The same unemptied trash bin was still at the curb on May 24th. And guess what- the bin is still at our curb today. I have reported this on their website and they merely ignore me. I tried to call their number and it rang 50 times with no answer. This is disgusting and I think my next step is to get a lawyer and file a complaint against them. On the recommendation of someone, I drove to the Republic Services Henderson location and waited in line. Seeing the sign by the gate I was worried how much dropping this off would cost me. The dude at the gate was nice and checked my ID to make sure my residence uses Republic Services (it does); he gave me a paper and I drove into the lot. Once there you follow the line of cars/trucks. I work in property management and have to contact Republic Service every week to make sure the previous tenants do not leave a balance on their account for the homeowner to pay. It is like pulling teeth to get answers on accounts that can cause a homeowner to have to pay $100-$1000 of dollars when a tenant vacates. The people that work with Republic Service have no customer services skills and are extremely rude. The worst thing of it all is we have to deal with these people. Tried contacting them 6 times by call and emailed them 3 times concerning oil spillage and questions about rubbish services. Each time I call the representative says they will let their supervisor know about situation. We live in a new gated community and their recycle truck leaked oil all over our new roads, and every time they stopped to get the recycle container there were oil left at all of our houses. HORRIBLE. What makes it worse, the part no one has contacted our association or me as a client. On another occasion, the recycle truck driver must have knocked down over a dozen of the bins, and didn't stop to pick it up. One bin was in the middle of the road. Very rude and no respect. they totally disregard laws from local to federal to block handicapped people. on the PMI near 5400 s. rainbow they have for several months had a large construction dumpster blocking most of the handicapped parking spaces. this makes them and all the located facilities in violation of ADA, Title Iii and 9 as to minimum required spaces. read more

If I could rate zero or a negative I would. Additionally, I understand the Cheyenne transfer station had a fire and has been shut down for some time. I understand there will be issues. I am sure this will get blamed on Covid or lack of workers? That seems to be the norm for lack of management these days. This leaves the Henderson (Cape Horn location) covering for Las Vegas and Henderson. Unless you want to go to the actual dump out at Apex. Which we eventually did. (That is another story/nightmare). Anyway 7/8/2022 we end up at this Cape Horn location at noon. In a string of waiting vehicles. Over the next hour we creep down the side of the main road, turn right on to a side road. Get within about 10 vehicles or so, of entering the transfer station entrance. Here we come to a dead stop. For the next 45 minutes not moving. Thinking they must be running dozers to push dumped items down the chute. Then out comes a supervisor (just before 2pm) telling us they are at capacity to finish up by 3pm. Turning us all away. Not in the least friendly. Complaining about herself being in the heat. Not really concerned we had been sitting in line for 2 hours. A whole string of people behind us. Like they couldn't anticipate this and informed the line hours ago? Cheyenne has been closed down way before today. It is not like it just happened that day. How republic services can operate one location instead of two thinking they can run the same schedule is plain incompetent management. This serves the public, small contractors, and landscapers. Customers that may be getting charged by the hour while contractors wait in line. Just as a homeowner that uses these facilities once or twice a year, this is unexceptionable. I can't imagine how contractors are fuming. We are paying premium rates for what we used to have picked up twice a week. Which went to once a week. Dumpster rental has gotten unaffordable. There is not enough room in residential garbage containers to simply feed landscape trimmings into a single weekly pick-up. Some of this mass line is self inflicted even without having to shut down one of the huge transfer stations. After finding Cheyenne closed and attempting to call into Republic Services customer service. Wait times are very long. Made multiple calls. Eventually got through. Talked to some agent that is in some other location? She didn't know anything about Cheyenne being closed. Really not helpful directing us to alternatives. Their website is not helpful in this situation. Using Google was more informative. Very sad state of affairs. After getting turned away at Cape Horn. We drove to Apex, to the dump. A whole story there. We started this nightmare leaving the house at 11am. Returned home at 5pm. 105 miles, $51.50 in fuel. Our city representatives better seriously consider another company when this contract ever comes up for bid again. No competition means they could care less about customers as long as we pay our bill. read more

The 1 star review is an overstatement. I came to dump tree branches and was told that my house doesn't have any "trees". The mad at their lives employees pulled google images and said the trees in my backyard were from our neighbors hanging over. So being a paying customer I was forced to pay even more to dump something that should've been free to me. I had my drivers license and proof of residency. Although I do believe it was discrimination, I'm asian and was asked all sorts of questions at the gate(I was arguing with the mad at life gate keeper for over an hour). As I left, the gatekeeper said, "don't you ever come back here again". There was an older white gentleman behind me dumping tree branches as well which took him no longer than 1 minute to get thru.
