Worst service ever! We are allowed extra yard waste service of up to 14 recyclable bags. Called a week ahead & they said my extra bags would be picked up on my regular service day of Friday. Driver pulls up & dumps my green waste cart only & kept going. Immediately called Republic & they said they would notify the driver to come back. So he services the other side of my street & keeps going. Called Republic again & they said they would notify him again. My third phone call was at 4:30 & they said the driver was cleared for the day & has gone home and my bags would not be picked up until Monday & a supervisor would return my call. So I dragged my 13 bags to my backyard. Dragged my 13 bags out Sunday night for Monday pickup. Monday no one shows again nor does a supervisor call. Republic Service in the last 4 weeks have not been picking up our garbage, our recycle and our green waste on a regular basis. The cans sit out on Wednesday night until Friday or Saturday and sometimes until the following Monday baking in the sun. This is health a hazard. Our we living in a third world country now? We can't depend on them for consistent service. I have called, and get the run around. They don't have enough workers.Then hire more people? We finally got our compost cart towards the end of December - 6 weeks after requesting it. We finally got our bill and found out that we had been getting charged for the compost bin from the time requested it to the time we received it. We called the customer service center and was promised a replacement trash can during the next collection day on January 15th, 2018. The damaged trash can was not replaced. If I could give no stars I would. Trying to set up service on a new construction home. Can't use their web site because it doesn't recognize our street. If you don't use their web site and need to talk to someone, they really aren't set up for that. I literally can't get anyone on the phone after a week of trying, so I've been playing e-mail tag to get my account set up. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because I can't give 0 stars. Awful horrible service. I had a commercial account serviced out of the Brenham TX office. The service address was in Giddings TX. Had numerous missed pickups, reported to my account rep. She said she would get credit issued. Never happened. Again this repeatedly happened. No credit. As fuel prices went down my bill went up for the same service. No answer. Went up $100 a month over a 12 month period. I expressed my problems numerous times through the online customer service forms. Never ever got a response. Told my account rep 2 months before my contract was to expire I would be terminating my contract at the end of June 2020. Then she wanted to meet and discuss the problems. To late. I also notified through the customer service online that I was going to terminate at the end of June 2020 and gave the reasons. NEVER a response. I called the company and of course they could not help but someone would call me. 4 or 5 days later a account rep supervisor called, I ran down my issues. He apologize and wold get my account closed and check into the credits. That was several weeks ago, the dumpster is still there collecting trash from I don't know where. I call the company again they show the account still open and still billing me for full service. They said they can't do anything but they would have someone call me. This is the absolute worst company ever. Their customer service is horrible and they rob you when you try and cancel service with them to go to another company. We were with them for over 12 years and they claim that we were under a contract and had to provide 60 days notice to even cancel. they play games when you try to cancel via the phone and tell you that they have to have a member of the "sales team" contact you and they take a good month to do that. After that they informed me that i had to send a certified letter asking to discontinue then after that they would look into it and "get back to me again"! I really wish there were another option for trash pickup in my area. I have no problem with the size of the bins or with the pickup times. Republic Services has been good about picking up our trash every week and they never leave a mess in the process, which I appreciate. My poor review is based on their poorly informed customer service team and their miserable website. I have been trying to get my online account set up to accept online payments since I started service with Republic nearly five months ago. Since they have never sent me a paper bill, the only way I can pay my bill at this point is to either set up online payments (which is my preference) or call customer service every few weeks and ask somebody to transfer me to billing (since just selecting "pay bill" in the phone tree requires information from your paper bill, and I've never received one). I have called customer service four times and submitted an online help request at least once to try and get my account set up so that I can use the website or the app to pay my bills. Every time I've called I've been told that this issue is being escalated to IT and that they'll call me back within a few days. Nearly five months later and I have not received a single call (or email, or text, or anything) from IT. I've been told by CS agents that they've linked my account for me, but when I log onto the site, it still tells me that I need to link my account before I can make an online payment. Fix your damn website, Republic Services. It's 2017. I should be able to make an online payment. read more

I am in New Hill, NC. I own my own business. I have a training and show facility for horses. Which means I have clients. My bins go out on time every week and it makes my business look bad to have trash at the roadside for weeks on end. Republic Services is the MOST UNRELIABLE service I retain. Yet I keep gettting charged full price for a weekly service I have, MAYBE, every 10 days. I get a call every week stating "due to unforeseen circumstances...my service is delayed." I understand that in these times schedules are difficult, no one wants to work for a living. BUUUUUUT, I called my local branch and was scheduled for a next day pick up... which DID NOT happen. This is ABSURD. I have called, twice, and followed recommended protocol., ie: reporting online missed pick ups. Again, I was given a date and time of guaranteed pick up. At this point, I am 3 weeks with out with pick up for recycling and 2 weeks with out trash pick up. (all bins have been sitting roadside this whole time for clients and every Joe Schmoe to see.) Which means I have 2, yes 2 full trash bins and 2 weeks worth of trash trash piled up because, WHY? My cans are FULL. Both of these services I pay to have picked up weekly, but am I getting that service, NO!!!!!!!!!!!! All efforts to leave negative commentary (let alone use exclamation points) have been shut off. DO NOT CHOOSE REPUBLIC SERVICES!!!!!!!!!!!! No way does this refer to the great drivers that service our house, they are great (hence two stars instead of one). We have been trying to get a new blue cart for a couple of months now, the old one falling apart-big hole in bottom First time we called, we got no cart even though they said it would be delivered on our next trash day. Since the old one could be lined with cardboard, I used it hoping to get new cart when this one was picked up. Nope. Called again, this time they did deliver a cart, only the holes were even bigger than the old one's. Called again, next week they sent out another one whose wheels promptly fell off. Last pickup the driver said he would call it in and we would get a new one. Not arrived so far and the current cart is lying on it's side in the gutter. I will have to weigh it down so that it can stand up with this week's garbage in it. Other garbage companies immediately bring out new cart and don't wait until service days to do so. I truly hate this company. First they got a new contract and jacked the rates without warning. Then, they decided to give everyone new bins, but took our regular bin and left a miniature trash can instead. That took numerous phone calls to get corrected. Then the trash guy DUMPED our bin into his truck and drove away so I was without a can for over a week. Again, 3+ phone calls to fix. Then last week the recycling driver THREW two apparently oversized tubes that were in our bin AT MY CAR in the driveway. Lucky the windows didn't break. So, I want to get this correct. I have been paying for garbage service for over 25 years. This company is the worse yet! I called for a bulk pick up. They did not show up. I called, they put it in again for the next day. Still no pick up. I called again. They told me that my bags were too heavy? LOL Then they say that the bags were too big. I heard there were low ratings so I'd thought I'd post my experiences. The service is great - reliable and consistent. Monday mornings are a bit noisy but that is the nature of the beast, no worries. Once in awhile we may forget a can and it will get picked up - super service. The lack of five stars is due to cost. It seems expensive. Horrible. We have had Republic for just about a year after they bought my previous trash company. You would think that trash service would be simple. It's just about picking up garbage and recycling. Trash left behind in the street after they pick up was a pain, but when I called to get another pick up of trash, I was floored again by the way they treated me. After trying to talk to a human for 25 minutes, I finally got to a guy and made my request for an additional trash pick up. Just as I made my request he jumped in..."Hold on lady. I have see when we can do that." As I tried to ask a question, he interrupted. "Lady, if you keep talking I can't get your question answered! I need to figure out when we can get a truck out there." The answer finally was that they could come out next week on Tuesday...which was the next scheduled trash pick up for me. When I politely told the man that Tuesday was my regular trash pick up, he just said "See how easy that was?!" I asked if there was anything earlier and he just got more condescending. There was no way to get another trash pick up before my next scheduled pick up. And it gets better. He asked if I still wanted to schedule an additional pick up. I asked out of curiosity if there would be an extra charge for the pick up on my next scheduled trash pick up. His response: "Lady. If you order an additional pick up, you get charged." That was the end of the call and the end of me using Republic. And sometimes there is good at the end of an ordeal like this. I called around and found out that Republic was charging over twice as much as the company that some of my neighbors use. My trash and recycling bill will now be less than half of what it used to be with Republic. read more

We are scheduled for pick up on Friday. Today is Tuesday 7:08pm. The recycling pickup is still sitting in front of my house. I called and left message for missed pick up on Saturday evening, received a call back on Monday 1:58 pm voice message reassuring me that they would be out no later than Tuesday 6pm. Leave the can outside. The can is still outside. I did call Monday morning requested pickup. I was assured they would be out Monday before 6pm. I called Monday about 4ish to see if they were coming, told they would be out Tuesday 22nd by 6 leave trash outside. My trash is now overflowing. I called again today Tuesday 6/22/21 and well you know the rest. Trash is still sitting in the same location and still no pickup or call. Go figure. Now is there someone I can talk to besides the ones that answer the phone. Is there management that reads or listens to Customers complaints and where are they. ‍‍. I'm new to Antioch, only a month here, yet I've called 3x to set up bulk pick up...needed customer service questions answered ...and wanted to know more about pricing of my new home purchase. The ladies were "all" very pleasant (3 different ones I might add). I can't speak on the service pick ups yet, but the office ladies, I can...and I say, please keep up the good work, you all "are" very pleasant and warm to speak with over the phone, you "all" listened and you "all" rectified my situation, again, don't loose that courteous customer service attitude!!!
