I visit this place a lot. And up until recently I would have agreed with the not so stellar reviews- HOWEVER, there has been a huge change in the culture/climate of this store. Employees are now extremely helpful. Very kind & patient with all their customers. I no longer feel like I need to avoid this location. I'm happy to make it my first choice. Absolutely unprofessional. We brought our Amazon return to this location and they basically told us to go to another site because they don't get paid enough by Amazon to process returns. They also charged me a $1 for about 3 inches of tape. I have been buying from Amazon for years and never have I ever had a UPS site do this. I will gladly take my holiday gifts to a different location for processing. It's sad we can't continue to support our local UPS office due to poor service levels. read more

Poor customer service I was requesting a package to be sent to a UPS store on the east coast. I had written the address on the package, but was told I needed the store number. I didn't know the number and asked the clerk, Frank? to look it up to add to the shipping label. He said he couldn't and I would have to find the information on my own. he was standing at the computer, but would not assist in finding the store number. Then he gave me the shipping cost, which was $20 higher than the quote I got 30 minutes earlier from another clerk. I asked about this difference, but was not given an explanation. He changed the cost and gave me a look like I was the fool. His attitude and helpfulness need attention. read more

I've had a box here since 2018. I've had a great experience with the previous owners and their staff. I was a little worried when new owners and staff took over, but once they got through working out the bugs, things are just as awesome! The owner/boss is very polite and always smiling. His staff are very attentive, even when it gets busy. All in all, this location is great. read more

Highly Recommend. I return Amazon items often to this location. I had a rough day and must've chosen the wrong box on Amazon for a return and not realized I was supposed to package and print out a label. The owner/manager of the UPS store had every right to turn me away but he saw my sign when I realized I chose the wrong thing would have to package and come back. He said, "I've got you" he printed the label and helped me package everything with his tape etc. He really went above and beyond, I now have even more loyalty for this location. Today was a Christmas miracle for me! I found out my UPS store has a NEW OWNER. Ding Dong the Kuldeep Witch is gone. I literally wanted to do the happy dance right then and there. We have been PO box customers for almost 5 years and used to have a wonderful experience and daily drop off was the highlight of my day. Then the owner Kuldeep started working there on a regular basis. All the good employees were replaced. One of the new employees stole $5K worth of our shipments and she didn't believe us until other customers complained about missing packages and we found one of our items on Poshmark with the employee's profile. Kuldeep then took 6 months to file an insurance claim. From that day forward she was extremely rude and unprofessional to us. Just this year she point blank said "you've noticed my attitude with you has changed" Who does that? We had a brick and mortar business and would never behave so unprofessionally. She even poisoned the revolving employees about us and a few other regular customers. Yesterday I saw the most patient, nicest, gentleman working alone on a busy Monday. I saw him again today and asked if there was a staff change and he said he was the new owner. I almost jumped the counter and hugged him. I'm wishing them the utmost success and so glad I don't have to find a new PO box this summer. Life is good again. read more

If I was rating your employee Stephanie she is 5 stars all the way! She is very helpful, solution oriented, and friendly! She cares! Sadly her coworker was so horrible I had to leave mid transaction. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but if his behavior on this day is typical he will lose you lots of business. Feb 21, 2022- Masks mandates have been lifted. Yet masks are still required in this store because, she says, "I'm the OWNER, and I say so". Like a child having a tantrum. Honestly. Then she refused me service. I told her I would be back in to mail my items out, and cancel my post office box. She said she would refuse me service. When I came back in, she made the other associate assist me, who was polite and seemingly apologetic. When the associate had a question about filling out the PO Box cancellation form, the OWNER, whose insecurities require power-tripping control, would make her wait for an answer - just to make ME wait. Passive aggressive. The irony of it all is that she has a sign posted this location about being kind to those who show up. How about being kind to those who are your paying customers? I simply can't understand how shortsighted a business OWNER can be by treating a customer so rudely as to refuse service to someone who was momentarily confused about having to wear a mask. All I asked was, the mandates been lifted, why do I need a mask.? And, you know her answer. But then to refuse service,? "I won't help you". What? "Someone else will help you, or YOU can go to another store." Wow. The rudeness was stunning. I will never ever return to this location - and I urge my fellow neighbors to also go anywhere else but here. There's a good UPS Store on Bancroft by the freeway. And the post office. There is a new owner, and he is fantastic. Super friendly and efficient. The space has really good energy, and is always clean and tidy. If you go off hours, it's an easy in and out. If you are just doing a drop-off return, this is a convenient location with other useful stops in the strip mall, like grocery and drug stores. Do not use this notary. The owner technically has his notary commission, but the one time out of four he's actually notarized something for us, he said the next time we make him work that hard, we owe him Starbucks(?). The other times he has refused based on non-legitimate, "confusion" about the docs, like I want a jurat but he only knows acknowledgments, or he's not aware you can attach CA language to an out-of-state document. Go anywhere else for notary. His lack of confidence will not improve if he turns away every opportunity to gain experience. read more

Don't go to this UPS store. They charge $1.50 to print a one sided, black and white Word document. I work in Marketing and print 24/7 and any UPS Store between Martinez to San Francisco charges .20 cents to print besides this one. When I noticed that I was overcharged, I called and explained and they held their ground in charging this ridiculous fee. For me, it's not the cost at ait's the principle. I recently went to The UPS Store and purchased a box that was labelled 48"x10"x10", packed it with my items to ship, and estimated the weight to be 11lbs. I went to the UPS Store website where I received a shipping estimate of $32.67. I then went to The UPS Store where they said the measurements were 49"x11"x10" and the weight was 9 lbs, 2 oz. and that the cost would be $64.52. Apparently, a significant amount of the difference had to do with the box being measured at 49" instead of 48" along with some store specific pricing. The manager seemed to be fixated on explaining why the store's pricing was appropriate and did not seem to feel that my concerns were relevant. Those concerns were: 1) it does not seem right to sell me a box labelled as 48", but charge me a shipping rate of 49" (the box was not bulging), 2) if I were to be charged for shipping a 49" box rather than the 48" box, then I would expect the price differential to be some sort of reasonable incremental difference. Not double the price. I left and went to a different The UPS Store where they shipped the box at 48" in length for a price very close to the estimate online. Switching stores saved me $32. read more

I would ZERO stars if I could. I tried using pack and send here to ship a painting w/o a frame approx 24 inches x 10 inches x 1 inch . I checked in on Yelp while they were packing it in the back room. She brings out a giant box way longer and much wider than needed. Of course they charge by the size of the box. Upsell much? When I checked in to the paleo verdes mail ups on Yelp I was offered a coupon for 10% off shopping 15% of supplies. The gal said she couldn't figure out how add to apply a discount. She calls her boss and the boss says she doesn't advertise on Yelp and she's not going honor the discount that is in fact advertised. It is illegal to post prices you don't honor. The owner offered 5%. The box was way too large anyway so I took my picture back and will find a store that does business ethically. There is a reason why their Yelp reviews aren't great. Owner is a racist and has zero customer service skills. Do not spend your money here. Had a box there for over 10 years without incident (new owner). Then one day my box is locked for non payment missed by one day ( I received no notifications text/email or other) I ask why I wasn't notified, owner yells at me in front of about 10 other customers and calls me a liar. Tells me that all notifications are sent via email/text. I asked for confirmation of notifications she refused to show/proved any prof. When I ask for all of my mail because I will no longer be doing because with someone who behaves this way she refuses. I'm forced to call UPS corporate they call her and tell her she legal can't keep my mail. She yells at me more. There are numerous UPS stores in the area use another one. This store is great ! Handled a Saturday rush job quickly and at a reasonable price; great service and advice from their employee. They even called, as promised, as soon as the job was ready for pick-up! Friendly, reliable!! My dilemma: so many tickets sold for Hela at TheatreFIRST in Berkeley that we ran out of programs last night, and I was just asked to handle box office tonight. When we saw the UPS store in the neighborhood shopping center I went in with my last copy of the 6 page program to see if there was any way we could have a flier of some sort printed. But they had a better idea, and quoted a great price! A short time later I had 200 copies of the program, ready to fold and distribute at tonight's show (an easy task for the volunteer ushers tonight). Thanks, UPS, for the great rush work!! read more

Customer Service is friendly and efficient from expediting shipments to providing personal services on copy machines. Notary services are thorough and never rushed but expedited to meet every customers needs. This store has the worst service on Planet Earth. I went in there today with the intention of buying about $475 worth of postage stamps. Now, I don't know if they benefit from selling stamps or not but either way, I was disgusted with the service I got. There was a scale right on the counter between me and the lady who runs the place. I asked if they mark-up postage stamps and she said "no but we won't weigh you envelope." She said they mark-up metered mail by $1.60 per envelope. I am sending out 475 large envelopes. Obviously, I'm not going to pay an extra $1.60 for EVERY package. That would be insane. But in order for me to buy the right amount of postage, I would need to weigh the envelope. She refused. When I placed one envelope on her scale, she immediately pulled it off and said "thank you, good-bye." Is this woman crazy? I was ready to spend about $500 at her store this morning. I had my credit card in my pocket. Is she out of her mind?! Her response was completely absurd. This UPS Store is right across the street from my home and I have heard at least 2 or 3 other people complain about this woman and the way she runs her business. As far as I'm concerned, she is begging to go out of business. Do yourself a favor: if you're looking for a UPS store, pass by this one. read more

Located in the strip mall where Rite Aid and Lunardi's supermarket is. They offer notary services and now there are 2 notaries working there. They give good service and the staff is always nice and pleasant. If you have a mailbox there, they definitely give you good service and are always accomodating. As a box holder, they will send you an email as soon as a package arrives, as well as, you can call them to check if a special delivery came in. The place is always busy, and whenever I need to mail a package/box, I used them as their service is well worth it and the convenience is great. You can also drop off your extra syrofoam peanuts or air bubble sheets for them to recycle at their store. read more

I brought in several boxes that I packed. They arrived fine. I asked them to specially pack and ship a ceramic statue that was a piece my now deceased mother in law had. It arrived in a thin box, with minimum peanuts and no bubble wrap at all! It was not even labeled as FRAGILE! The statue was broken into 12 different pieces! I am horrified! The Danville UPS store had done an excellent job in recent fragile shipments; but this was just terrible customer service! read more
