Very polite driver. Customer service response is with in a minute or 2. Pricing or reasonable

Our service was cancelled September 15, 2020, we have paid everything that was due and was told by several representatives that account was closed and we owed nothing. They were continually billing us for service from October on. Now to make matters worse..they reported us to collections! We have aquired service from another company since September 2020, need I say much better and half the price! This is the worst company ever and horrible customer service. I would NEVER recommend this company for anything! THE WORST! Not consistent, always changing pick up days. I gave them 1 star, honestly I would not even rate them for the terrible service. read more

We moved into our neighborhood in 2018, and have had a non-stop issue with Republic Service drivers speeding in our neighborhood between stopping for trash pickup, and driving over peoples lawn and garden beds. The trash truck has destroyed the lawn at the corner of my property and after paying for it myself be fixed twice, I gave up and have accepted that no grass can occur there. But weekly I watch the truck drive over the grass on our property along the side street, and hit orange marker polls that I have unfortunately had to put there to try to communicate that my lawn is not their road. I can't figure out if the driver takes delight hitting these orange marker pulls, or is just that awful at keeping his likely 33,000 pound vehicle on the road. With no sidewalks in our neighborhood, I fear the day one of the speeding Republic Service trucks hits a pedestrian, a golf cart or other car and kills someone. read more

I live on North Shore Drive, South Haven, Michigan. Today was the second time in as many months that Republic Services did not pick up the trash. Don't even attempt to contact them. It's impossible. They do everything not to provide a phone number or they ask you to enter a valid address. Apparently they don't consider my home of 40 years a valid address. If you work for the City of South Haven, please get rid of them!!! read more

This is what you get after making two calls to customer service asking them to PLEASE have the driver 1) not leave the empty can in the roadway, and 2) ask the driver to make sure the lid is closed on the empty so it doesn't fill with rain or snow. I think a monkey could be trained to do a better job. read more

Republic Services - incorrect empty can placement - Recycling Center Near Me - South Haven, Michigan

Absolutely awful experience with Republic. Recently did a demo on a small deck and I have about a car full of wood to dispose of. Republic told the city of South haven, MI that the transfer station (which has been closed for several years) would be open for bulk trash drop off due to COVID-19. We stopped there two different days only to find nobody operating the facility. I called customer service and nobody seemed to know what was going on. I contacted the city and they couldn't get a response either. So the following days I called 3 different times and spoke with your customer service agents to find out what was going on. I was told that I could bring my trash to the Holland location which is what was also posted on the windows at your facility in South Haven. So the next morning I call again just to make double sure, and the lady assured me I could drop off. This is where things take an even worse turn, I arrive and it is unclear where I should go. Multiple workers could see I was lost and nobody helped. The office which should have been open, was closed on 4/17. I called customer service again, and got nowhere. They were not even able to transfer me to someone to talk to. So finally I drive to the scale station towards the back of the facility only to have a man angrily wave me down and have me come into the building. At this point I am beyond frustrated, and the guy working on 4/17 around 10:30 a.m. began to berate me with questions as to why I was there. He then very condescendingly told me that I can't dump here. After explaining everything that happened previously, he very rudely told me I needed to pay 75 dollars to drop off and that it needed to be at least 1 ton (mind you I was driving a small Toyota car. He had no helpful information, and seemed to not care about the issue. I cannot remember a time when I have been more frustrated with a company. This is a compete failure of your customer service and business model. Nobody within your company seems to know what is going on, and I still have trash that I need to get removed. I hope your consider my complaint and use it constructively and at the very least remove the signs at the South Haven plant that direct residents to drop off at the Holland, MI transfer station. read more
