We started with fried mozzarella - which was amazing with the pepper topping, and the fried pickles - which were delicious but just a bit too oily/greasy for our liking, especially those at the bottom of the basket which absorbed all the oil dripping from those on top. I had buffalo chicken tenders which were flavored well, and others had the cajun alfredo (which was superb), the chicken alfredo, and a chicken sandwich. My cousin and I visited on a Sunday after a long night of frolicking around Atlanta. This restaurant was in walking distance from her house so we took a stroll over. Upon entering, we were offered a choice to dine on the rooftop and did. It was an airy, chill and inclusive atmosphere. Our server was nice but a bit forgetful and mixed up our cocktails so we had to wait for the bartender to remake them. Other than that the food was decent, I settled for a salad and bang band shrimp. Both were satisfying. Overall, the Republic Social House is just as its name states, a relaxing place to social over decent food. Nothing was outstanding nor terribly bad. read more

I stopped in to order the Bang Bang Shrimp (with the sauce on the side) and the Fried Pickles. Everything was cooked perfectly. The shrimp had a ton of flavor and the batter was incredibly well seasoned and it really held its own even without the sauce. The bed of cabbage and carrots underneath was a nice, fresh touch. As for the pickles, they were absolutely perfect. They were sliced super thin, which meant they stayed incredibly crunchy without being overwhelmed by the breading. We come here pretty often and we're still surprised at how not-busy it usually is. The food is great, the rooftop is lovely , and I've only ever had awesome experiences with the staff. This is a convenient, relaxed bar in Grant Park. Really to me it's more Summer Hill but technically on the map it's between those two and Cabbage Town. The food was very average, and the service was slow. The cocktails were disappointing and took an unusually long time to arrive, especially given how empty the restaurant was. When I ordered a Guinness, it was served in a can without a glass. Additionally, although my party was below the six-person threshold for automatic gratuity, an automatic gratuity was still applied. This was not communicated by the server, and we were not provided a printed receipt prior to payment since we paid via the Clover tablet. I've been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. As of recently, it went under new management and the food is not good anymore! The signature wing sauce (sweet heat) tastes cheaper than ever before. Seems like they are now using cheap ingredients to make the food. Even the Caesar dressing tastes like it was store bought. I couldn't believe how so much has changed. And now they add gratuity on every check. This is not how you keep a business running. Keep going the cheap route and you'll lose all your customers. I've been coming here off and on for about 5 years and had not been since the pandemic. I was pleasantly surprised that they seem to have leveled up the food menu since my last visit. Food: The Baja Shrimp Tacos are fantastic, and they have corn tortillas now for the gluten free/celiac people! Hip hip hooray! You get 2 medium sized tacos and a side (salad, Caesar salad, fries, sweet potato fries, etc.) I forgot to take pics before I devoured it. They stuffed the corn tortillas with big juicy jumbo shrimp, cabbage, and remoulade sauce. The double corn tortilla shells stayed intact and were tastier than usual. The side salad (without croutons) wasn't anything to write home about, but that's not surprising. Apparently they have $3 tacos on Taco Tuesdays. Atmosphere: feel like an old person saying this, but the TVs are always really loud. It's less annoying when the game is on and your team is winning! (Go dawgs!) However, it was hard to hear anyone except the people sitting right beside me, and the gentleman at the end of our table was kind-of left out of the conversation. My friends and I love going to Republic for a laidback, lowkey Saturday/Sunday brunch to sit on the upstairs deck/patio area. Republic offers a dedicated brunch menu and mimosa specials (bottles of champagne and a carafe of OJ) until 2pm. The service can be a bit spotty, but the food, mimosas, and vibes are always great! One of my favorite things about their brunch is getting a few breakfast shots (a shot of butterscotch Jameson and another shot of OJ garnished with bacon). These things are SO good!! This is definitely a good place if you're looking to get away from the party brunch spots that Atlanta has so many of. read more

This place has GREAT music and GREAT servers. Yes it's FCFS because of Covid but the food was awesome For a appetizer we got the loaded queso. This restaurant is a casual environment with a nice size bar & Flat Screens. We went for Taco Tuesdays. The location was not crowded, they are practicing social distancing, the staff were all wearing masks. I didnt see hand sanitizer, however, honestly I dont look as much because I carry my own. Decided to check out Republic for a Sunday brunch. They have a rooftop area which is where I sat. I know in the spring/summer/fall the rooftop seems like it would be idea. I enjoyed the fact they had $15 mimosa bottles and they bring out the juice you want. I ordered the hot chicken biscuit that had a fried egg and bacon on it. It was really good! I also ordered a side of potatoes which were good as well. I like the fact they have tvs all around so you can watch the football games. Went here one Saturday night with 2 family members about 8 pm. Parking wasn't easy as the lot behind the building was completely full so we had to find street parking a few blocks away...no big deal. We walked in and the ground floor was pretty uneventful. We wanted to sit outside because, ya know, pandemic and all, so we made our way upstairs. The woman who greeted us told us to seat ourselves, so we did. The bar upstairs is certainly louder than downstairs with more people and the music bumping, but it wasn't too loud, it was reasonable. After a few minutes, our waitress came over and greeted us and took our drink orders. We asked for a drink menu/beer list and were told they don't have one, we have to look at their website...okay, that's weird. Our waitress was a little on the slow/strange side as it didn't seem like she knew the menu very well. I asked her what was in the side salad and she said cucumbers, cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato...I said croutons? She said no. Side salad arrived..no cukes and had croutons. No biggie but know the products you're selling! She was nice, service was good and the food was great. I had the Turkey club and salad. Our waitress called salad dressing "sauce," so that was weird. Came to Republic to watch the game. I walked in and was able to seat myself at an open booth. There are plenty of TVs all around the establishment so there was no problem keeping track of the game. It's your normal bar atmosphere, lots of people, noise and the smell of fried food. I will say service was a bit slow and perhaps it was because there was practically two servers covering all of the tables downstairs. Initially the drink order was incorrect and took a while for that to be corrected, but it's a pretty busy bar so again I'll try not to be too critical. The food was the best part. The queso is finger licking good. Literally there wasn't anything left in the bowl except for what couldn't be scraped up by my tortilla chip. The lemon pepper wings were well seasoned and the French fries came out piping hot. I will say that I did have to request napkins, ketchup, and plates which should've automatically been supplied so they should work on making sure customers have what they need, other than that good food, decently priced to watch the game and socialize. read more
