My friends and I were here for the world cup this weekend, and decided to stop in at the suggestion of another friend in our group. In short- we are very glad that we did. We placed a reservation online and arrived a little early to fight the ATL traffic, and our table was still ready for us. The standout at this location to us was the service. Our server, Erin was insanely knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were catered to our taste perfectly. I had the chicken, which was seared beautifully while still remaining juicy. I also had a cocktail which tasted carefully crafted. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well, the decor was hip and right in our style. Friends invited us, and they're into the whole tiki aesthetic, so the cocktails and decor are right in their wheelhouse. Meanwhile, we found the whole thing to be a chore. First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me. read more

Absolutely superb dining. The menu is eclectic and diverse. With that said, every morsel is delicious. And let's not forget the staff. They can answer any question regarding the menu. They keep your tables clean and free of crumbs between servings. Its my go to spot with my kids. A must for any Atlanta visitor! read more

Prefacing this review with the fact that we were only there for drinks and snacks so I can't speak to the full dinner. We got the Georgia cheese and the shrimp chips in addition to three cocktails. I got the Euclid and my friends got the Bucksin Playmate and the Ticonderoga Cup. I really liked my drink a lot so much so that I took a screenshot of the menu and got my friend to re-create it at home, that one thing was good but in general, I don't see the drive to go there. Ticonderoga Club is inside Krog Street Market, a must-visit for foodies in Atlanta. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. I enjoyed the Wok Veg and Spiced Pork Confit. The flavors were unique for an American restaurant. The atmosphere is homey and intimate. I only wish I had the opportunity to try more of the menu. WOW. ALL CAPS FOR DAYS!!! First stop in Atlanta. Basically headed here as soon I checked into the hotel. I do have to thank Eaters thrill list of best 38 Atlanta restaurants. I did a lot of deciding and deciphering between lots of good sounding options but I truly made the right choice because Ticonderoga Club is special. Shoutout to the whole staff for being incredibly sweet, welcoming and just incredibly professional. The southern hospitality is REAL. You just don't get service like this in Orange County / Southern California very often or at all. The food and drinks were superb. World class. We grabbed a spot at the bar here Saturday night. The bartender was very attentive, making a point to learn our names and engage us in conversation. He even offered me a sample of wine to pair with my meal. I had the Poh's eggplant and oh my god, it was the best thing I've had in some time. I know eggplant can be polarizing but this was done so perfectly. It was soft without become mush and generously tossed in a thick sauce. I would pay for the recipe for that sauce. The toasted coconut added a nice crunch and the fresh herbs elevated everything. I would absolutely come back here just for this dish. read more

One of our favorite classic dishes is the steak tartare but we skipped that this time to get the Chuck Wagon. 3lbs of steak plus potatoes and mushrooms, with au jus and horseradish on the side. I found a gem in Atlanta. Hidden on a corner of the Krog Street Market is The Ticonderoga Club. It has a Caribbean tavern feel. Ticonderoga comes from the Iroquois word meaning a junction of two waterways which makes sense given the seafood forward menu. Me and my friend walked in to have a drink because my mom told me they made amazing drinks. We were excited to have a drink here, didn't know what to expect, and it was our first time here. When had our service animal with us a 60 pound dog. We walked in and were greeted. They said nothing about the dog and told us we could find a place to sit. While we were looking for a table I realized the service staff was looking at us like we were crazy. Then someone walked up to us and told us they would lead us to a place where we could take our dog and said that they didn't have space for us. She opened the back exit door and shut it behind us. Not much else to be said pretty shit experience. Anyways we went to Brewdog and the beer and service was amazing. They gave our dog water and were very nice and attentive. Wow. Ticonderoga Club truly embodies what it means to be a 5 star restaurant (I don't hand out 5 stars lightly). This place had been on my list for a while until I finally was able to go. It was definitely worth the wait. I ordered the steak Tartare and the Poh Eggplant. Both were exceptional. The Poh Eggplant was such an explosion of flavor with a nice kick, I was took aback by how much I enjoyed this dish. The service, well it matches the food. Amazing! The hospitality was almost unreasonable. I was eating by myself outside in albeit not the most coveted seat. When I arrived at the restaurant it was pretty busy on the inside. As the night progressed I guess a few seats at the bar opened up and my waitress asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar. Of course I said yes because I couldn't stop drinking the Negronis here. My waitress placed me in the "Captains Seat" at the bar I got the pleasure of meeting the wonderful bar tenders. I'm disappointed it took me so long to make it to this restaurant, but it feels so good to finally be apart of the Club. IYKYK! Special shout out to Alec, Greg, and Courtney! We had the snapper ceviche, mussels, sweetbreads, and steak tartare. The steak tartare was my fave of the bunch with the ceviche being a close 2nd. For my entree I had the pork chop steak with pickled veggies. This was awesome. Basically, it was like a Vietnamese vermicelli noodle bowl without the noodles and a large pork chop steak instead. The table also shared the tres leches dessert. I'm not a huge dessert person but I loved that this was not overly sweet. All of the drinks that I sampled were also good. There wasn't the rich, delicious broth in the mussels I expected and honestly they tasted a little off, like maybe they were bad. My friend agreed. What a hidden gem... literally! Ticonderoga Club is in the back corner of Krog Street market and the ambiance and food is completely unexpected. The vibe is a casual pub you might stumble into, but the food has an upscale feel (and taste). The menu has a range of Thai inspired dishes, modern takes on classics, and truly unique items. The steak tartare served with daikon was excellent and a combo I hadn't seen before. The star of the show for me personally was the diver scallop with an exquisite basil sauce over pasta. We were literally scrapping the bowl (with leftover daikon). Poh's eggplant was excellent with amazing Thai flavors and we also shared the catch of the day which was a beautifully cooked steelhead trout. Would highly recommend for a nice dinner that doesn't feel pretentious. The service was immaculate and the cocktails were all very well balanced. We had a group of 3 for dinner at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, 8/16/22. You can park for free in the Krog lot or valet for $8. There is also free street parking. We got 2 appetizers and each got an entree. Here's what I tried: - Georgia Peach Salad ($14): Super good! We got it without the bacon, and even without the bacon, it had so much flavor. - Poh's Eggplant ($14): OMG wow. Delicious. Highly recommend. - Summer Tomato Tagliatelle ($32): Very good, but for $32 and no meat, I was expecting a bigger portion. - Roasted Diver Scallops ($34): Good, but the portion was kind of small! My friend and I saw the enticing souvenir yard cups people were walking around with, so we decided to check out Ticonderoga Club. We walked up to the pull up bar and were greeted by a friendly team member. After realizing the fun cups were $18, we decided to order the xtra strawberry margarita in a standard cup for $14 instead. With taxes and tip, we each paid $17. Pretty steep for a small-ish plastic cup... I will say however, that the drink was very strong and will give you a nice buzz. So I appreciate that. You can place your drink order at the window and be served alcohol on the spot. At a certain time the indoor restaurant opens up and the coolest experience can be had. You will be treated like everyone SHOULD be treated everywhere you go. If you require specifics... whatever the fish and veg specials are, get them. If you haven't yet experienced a Ticonderoga Cup, it's a good intro to the Club. In my opinion (and experience) the bar is the place to be. If you are fortunate to be dining with good friends, get the Chuckwagon. If you are shy, beware. It will draw the attention of envious fellow patrons. My friend and I enjoyed the mussels, tartare, risotto, and chicken. All the food was great, tartare was unexpectedly a little spicy and although we both agreed we wouldn't usually lean towards chicken it was super juicy and well seasoned. We started off with a round of Ticonderoga cups and Rising Fall cocktails, which were both delicious and set the tone for the rest of the meal. For our appetizer, we ordered the crab, which was cooked to perfection and had a succulent, sweet flavor. For our entrees, we decided on the roasted duck and veggies on the wok. The duck was tender and juicy, and the veggies were crisp and flavorful. We also ordered a seafood stew, which was loaded with fresh, succulent seafood and had a rich, hearty broth. The meal ended on a sweet note with a dark chocolate mousse and a tres leches cake, which were both remarkable.
