[[HIGHLIGHT]]Patio is so nice & inviting, but my family decided sit inside- little room to the side is not very inviting, but where we sat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Main bar area is nicer & more friendly, not as secluded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Server was the best. He was so funny & on the ball!! Got Lemon Pepper Wings, super crispy but lots of salt. Ranch needs more seasoning, not much flavor. Salad great, but again the ranch... I think the others enjoyed their meals, no complaints. Table of 4 with a split tab & only 1 beer was under $40 plus tip. Here are pics to enjoy

Dinner at UJ was good. Burgers, Tacos, Salads and Soups to choose from. I decided to get the Patty Melt with arugula salad. Came out rather quickly, first thing I noticed was the salad was small, but tasted good with their Lemon Vinaigrette. Came with pecans & feta. The patty melt was on a swirled rye bread made traditionally with grilled onions, & Swiss cheese. The burger filled the bread which was great to see. Cooked to a perfect medium. They have a full bar with craft beer. Parking is on the street but was easily found at 8pm.

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love. -Dr. Seuss Too warm today to sit outside, we were at the bar where we were well served. A couple of cold beers went down nicely while we enjoyed the "show." Burger was very good but I should have added chesse. Fries were crispy. [Review 20040 overall - 640 in Georgia - 1015 of 2023.]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great day to eat inside or outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the chill vibe of the restaurant, not pretentious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the music variety, diverse and fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Quashaun, our server was amazing! Although all of the restaurants were crowded, there was no wait and the service was quick. My husband's burger and fries were delish. I had the salmon sandwich. Although it was good, it could have used just a little more seasoning or maybe they forgot it, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still a 5 star casual, friendly, chill time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The area is lovely in the city of Decatur and gives a relaxing vibe. Except for the homeless man walking up begging for money while you're eating and no one asking him to stop. Even when you tell him no he keeps going. Fries were burnt, the loaded fries were hard and horrible, table was very sticky and there's no way they even attempt to keep the bugs out. Ordered no onions for allergy purposes and the food came with onions and scallions. Definitely will not return. Should've went to the many restaurants that I frequent in that area but we wanted to give them a try.

The outdoor area is fantastic; faces the street, has an awesome breeze with a combination of high and low tables. Decent beer menu - a little bit of something for everybody. I wasn't too impressed with the food. I would stick to beer snacks. The kid had the Philly cheesesteak quesadilla (special menu item). It was what it was. I had the beef brisket taco, something was a little weird in it and something was missing. I don't think the flavor combination matched my palate . The beer was served a little warm. It could've been better ...

The staff are fantastic, personable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. They really know their craft and are happy to share recommendations on both drinks and food. The ambiance adds so much to the experience, I recommend you to come and relax on the patio or grab a seat at the bar. There's such a great vibe all around that makes you want to stay awhile. Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!

The place was packed with people and the kitchen was reportedly overwhelmed, but we stayed. After all that, the servers were great. I had the fish and chips with the Cheap beer. The anonymous cheap beer was faintly beer-flavored, just enough to be not water, which is exactly right for a $3 glass of beer. My fish was good. Two pieces of battered and fried white fish served with tartar sauce, a tiny scoop of cole slaw, and French fries. My companions had chicken wings, vegetarian chili, and poutine. The chili was fantastic, and I heard good things about the chicken, but the poutine was a pass. The cafe is reasonably large, with two dining areas inside plus a bar and an outdoor patio. The decor is neighborhood sporty, with an emphasis on Wisconsin (Green Bay Packers and UW Badgers prominent). I'd definitely eat there again.

There is also patio seating which is also a special space where they have been known to host weddings. Vera our waitperson was fantastic from start to finish. She was welcoming, talked about the restaurant, made excellent suggestions on all facets of the menu, helped with the wine selection and food choices and checked on us often. She is the true definition of service!! We started with cocktails and appetizers along with a bread basket. Don't skip the house old fashioned if you like bourbon. I even tried a mocktail and that was also good. Our first try with black bread. It was dense but tasty. The pimento fritters were crispy outside, creamy inside and complemented by the tomatillo jam. Calamari was perfectly done. Nice and crispy. The Caesar salad was freshly made with homemade croutons. I could go on about all the entrees but I'll leave it at this. Perfection. Not a miss among them. From the perfectly seared scallops, the duck breast or the blackened grouper we were all members of the clean plate club. We ended the night was a couple of the desserts and again winner, winner. This restaurant has been in Decatur for over 20 years and deserves all the accolades.

The valet attendant was extremely nice! He asked if we had eaten there before, told us about the specials, and made several recommendations. Our waitress was pleasant but didn't offer any suggestions -- the valet attendant was nicer and actually did more than the waitress. We started with the $7 truffle french fries (happy hour portion, 4-7pm). They were enough for both of us. Crispy on the outside and soft in the center, but there was only a light dusting of cheese on the top layer of fries. It would be better if it were sprinkled throughout the entire pile. The grilled filet mignon ($52) was not good. It looked like ground hamburger shaped into an oval and had hardly any flavor at all. The lobster ravioli ($42) was just OK and was surrounded by a thin sauce. The flourless chocolate cake ($11) was delicious, and the espresso martini was also good. So the mains weren't great, but the dessert and drinks were. There's plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. The bathroom was clean. We made reservations, but they didn't seem necessary on a Thursday evening. Highlights: Valet service, dessert, espresso martini, happy hour fries Could be better: Main dishes (filet and lobster ravioli)
