Outside. Storefront on Saturday, June 7, 2025 just before 5:00 PM EDT opening. Small line built up.

We had a great time at Lloyd's. I love the retro vibe of this place. It's like going to a pizza parlor in the 80s. The food and drink were delicious and service was good. This is a fun, unpretentious, neighborhood pizza joint. Lloyd's (stylized as LLoyd's with two capital Ls) opened on November 28, 2018. It was originally a throwback Southern diner and bar. During the COVID shutdowns in 2020, the restaurant converted into its current pizza parlor format. As of June 2025, they're still doing crab night every Monday -- a holdover from the old Lloyd's. This restaurant is part of Victory Brands (Vicbrands), which includes Victory Sandwich Bar, STEREO cafe and bar (next door, formerly Victory Coffee and Calamity), and the S.O.S. Tiki Bar (formerly Paper Plane). These businesses have a distinct hip style and are located in either Inman Park or Decatur. Vicbrands was also behind the late Little Trouble at Westside Provisions District. We showed up this past Saturday at opening time: 5pm. A small line to enter had already built up. We were seated quickly. When we arrived, there were plenty of parking spaces in the adjacent surface lot. Lloyd's shares parking with other businesses. By 6:30pm, the lot was full and people were circling to find open spots. Free street parking is available nearby on Waverly Way NE. The interior looks like a Pizza Hut or Sir Pizza from the 70s/80s (Sir Pizza is a chain with locations in/around my hometown of High Point, NC). The dining room has old-school button booths, vintage wood paneling, red textured glass, and traditional pizza parlor chandeliers with leaded glass. It's great. The takeout liner paper and boxes even have the red and white checker pattern that covered Pizza Hut's tables back in the day. I loved the song selection, which included "Notorious" (1986) by Duran Duran and "More than This" (1982) by Roxy Music. It added to the atmosphere. Also, from where I sat, I had a view of DeKalb Ave and the MARTA trains going by. It doesn't get more Atlanta than that. Speaking of which, my wife, who'd been here multiple times before me (this was my first time), recognized the inside of this place when we watched the TV show Atlanta. Specifically, it was during Season 4 (2022) on FX. Pizza and beer are the main items on the menu. The pizzas come in small (12 inches) and large (18 inches) sizes. Pizza by the slice is available beginning at 9pm for $3 per slice. They also offer a variety of amaro (Italian liqueurs), wine, cocktails, appetizers, and salads. Here's what three of us had: Starters * Fried Mozzarella ($12) - red sauce * Lasagna Fries ($13) - bolognese, ricotta, mozzarella, white sauce, red sauce Salad * Dinner Salad ($13) - fancy lettuces, cheese, tomato, onion, mushroom, artichoke, banana pepper, olive; we chose Italian for our dressing House Pies * Pie of the Month (June 2025): Margot Rita Robbie (Margherita) - red sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil (12 inches, $22) * Great White - white sauce, mozzarella, provolone, ricotta, basil (12 inches, $22) * Supreme - pepperoni, sausage, onion, pepper, mushroom (12 inches, $20) Drinks * Cosmopolitans x2 ($6.26 each at happy hour) * Gate City Brewing Co draft ale ($7.35) Everything was tasty. Nothing was bad. The main reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because nothing blew me away. Nothing we had is something you *have* to go to Lloyd's for (i.e., iconic). This is simply a solid all-around pizza joint. I thought the Supreme pizza was terrific. It was easily my favorite of the three. I recommend it. It really had that classic supreme flavor with fresh toppings and in just the right amounts. The pizzas are thin crust and simple. No truffle oil on the menu here. I enjoyed the Margherita and Great White too. Well made. Our pizzas were served on plates with wire mesh to keep the crusts nice and crisp. I appreciated that detail. The apps and salad were yummy. I think both the Fried Mozzarella and Lasagna Fries are popular menu items. Both were delectably cheesy and came out piping hot for an ideal cheese pull. After eating here, a friend asked me about the Lasagna Fries. No pasta is involved. It's fries with lasagna-like toppings. I love salads and I thought the Dinner Salad was wonderful. It was fresh and flavorful. I particularly liked the artichokes, which were soft and tender. The drinks were fantastic. My wife loves the Cosmopolitans here. We were pleasantly surprised to see that we got them at the happy hour price on a Saturday. I think happy hour is 5-7pm Monday-Saturday. My Gate City lager (on tap) paired perfectly with the pizza. It was cold and refreshing. I was very happy. Gate City Brewing Co is local, from Roswell, Georgia. All the staff that I interacted with were nice. Lacy was our server. By around 6:30pm, the place was packed with a wait. We saw multiple families with kids in the early hour, including the King of Pops CEO with his family. My wife says it's not as packed on weeknights.

Okay, this place is legit! So damn tasty, great prices & yummy pizza! I especially love how they do a rotating pizza every month! I'm vegetarian so I especially appreciate when I can get a veggie one! The service is always stellar. The parking lot can fill up quickly but believe me, it's worth it!

Went to Lloyd's on Monday for crab night - how excellent! I've never had crab before, so this was great to give the experience of cracking and removing the meat myself. It is super messy - be prepared for that! Service was cromulent, if anything a bit slow, but they were very busy. This is a great choice for patio seating on a nice day - you don't feel too close to the nearby busy street.

I've been to Lloyd's before and had a great experience, but this visit was unfortunately a disaster. Our group of seven called ahead to check wait times, and the host assured us we'd be seated immediately. When we arrived, we were told there'd be a five-minute wait--no problem. That turned into 1.5 hours. Every time we checked in, we were met with rude responses from the hostess. Frustrated, we decided to order a pizza to-go from the bar, and--of course--our table was suddenly ready right after. Before sitting down, we let our server know we had already ordered a pizza and asked if it was okay to eat it at the table. She said yes. But later, she returned with attitude, telling us we couldn't eat to-go food in the restaurant and plopped our pizza down on plates. The pizza? Cold, burnt, and completely disappointing. We were celebrating a birthday, and this experience put a damper on the night. The only saving grace was that the pizza (despite being cold and burnt) still tasted good. I really liked Lloyd's last time (cool ambiance, great food), but this visit soured it for me. Until they improve their service and train their staff in basic hospitality, I'm not sure I'll be back.

I've been trying to get here for like 5yrs and finally made it!! I went in open minded because I did t want to have super high expectations based of time I've waited to honing so I went with a clean slate. The environment is exactly what I would expect when someone says "neighborhood watering hole". Not super run down, but not fresh and updated. Just pretty average chill space with that "we've had some moments " smell. The service was pretty average as well. I did stand at the host stand for a bit before someone finally came around and I asked to just sit at the bar. The bartenders got me a menu and water pretty quick and the female bartender kept my water topped off. I ordered the monthly special pizza which came out in a reasonable time considering it was pretty full inside. The special was a mushroom pizza. The crust was good and had a nice chew, the toppings were good maybe needed a pinch of salt but the base cream sauce/béchamel was almost nonexistent. I almost wondered if they forgot to put the base sauce in the pie because it fell so flat on flavor. I'd probably go back and try a red sauce pie because again the crust and pizza itself was good I think with standard sauce and toppings maybe it will shine brighter. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't remarkable. Certainly room for improvements but areas where I'd try again another time.

I live in the neighborhood and visit often. The service has never been exceptional, but tonight I experienced what I'd consider the worst customer service of my life. Our server, Francisco, either had a bad day or simply hates his job, maybe even both. I had to flag down other staff to get items I'd already ordered through him, and at one point he walked away mid-conversation several times while we were still speaking to him. We eventually had to request a manager, who spoke more words to us in two minutes than Francisco had the entire evening. I don't like to complain, especially at a neighborhood spot I genuinely want to support, but it wasn't just that he was inattentive. There was a coldness to his demeanor that made the whole experience deeply off-putting. The Greek salad is great though!

I finally made time to visit Lloyd's in October and I was blown away! Everything about it was fantastic - the service, the food, the retro interior decor, and even the cool music venue next door. This is truly a local gem, and I'm already planning my return trip. MC A. was our server, and they was incredibly helpful and attentive with a really cool personality. We enjoyed a large pizza with half pepperoni and half jalapeños ($24), an order of spinach dip ($10), and an Instant Krusch ($5.51). Honestly, everything was delicious and a delightful surprise. Now I understand why this place is always so popular! Parking is free with a lot to the right of Lloyd's and to the left. I can definitely see it filling up quickly on weekend evenings, so I recommend arriving early if you want to avoid a wait.

The appearance of the slice. It's thinnish, with those pepperonis that curl up.

Lloyd's is the new Juniors. There, I said it. I've struggled to identify the vibe of this place. I think the closest thing is probably "Corner spot in any rust belt city, sometime around 1973." You'll see design elements that eventually turned into the Pizza Huts of your childhood, with a cool darkness inside the dark brick exterior. No kid birthday parties were visible. There's a community pool three blocks behind Lloyd's in a tonier part of Inman Park, and it's always crowded. If you're there for an interminable swim meet, it's convenient to punch in an order and to then hike the five minutes up and back with a pie held high for your hungry swimmers. It's the little victories, I've been told. So, the product - It's a really solid, thinner-style slice. I would put it as NY-adjacent, and they manage their dough recipes to keep the integrity of the slice during folding. Crust has a nice feel, pleasant and chewy. If you're into those pepperonis that bend upwards into little grease cups, they've got you covered. Sauce is nice and salty, with the umami we expect. As mentioned, those of you who lament the demise of Juniors in Summerhill will really get a kick out of Lloyd's. Only caveat to this review is that my first visit was takeout. Didn't really get to try the service. But, my takeout pie arrived much faster than I expected, considering the large and happy crowds that seemed to be occupying the space.

Overall rating: 4.7 $6.29 happy hour martinis. Do I need to say anything else?!!?! I was visiting from Brooklyn & this spot immediately gave hipster energy. My only minor observation is.. I was one of only non-white ppl there. Which isn't like a fault to the restaurant but being in ATL.. idk kinda thought there would be some culture. The bartenders were really nice. So I still recommend. And the bruschetta is GIGANTIC, but on very tough bread so it was a bit hard to eat.

It was a dark and stormy night... but the rainy weather didn't stop me from checking out what the hype was all about! My foodie friends had influenced me (and then invited me) to join them in checking out their infamous happy hour. Thank god for free parking - seems rare these days in Atlanta. It was raining cats and dogs but I was easily warmed with martinis and beer. Service was a little slow, given it was quite busy that night, even on a weeknight. I was stuck in traffic but made it to the end of happy hour (5-7pm M-F), just in time to down a $6 martini (at least, in 2022. I think it's gone up to $7 now? Not bad for inflation). We ordered a few hot items to share over our drinks... the pizza fries are a must and the cheesy bread is basically a whole cheese pizza. We also tried the Great White and added pepperoni, which was a GREAT pro tip from our server. I was pretty disappointed that they were OUT of the infamous cheese pull fried mozzarella so I will need to stop in again one day. AND I'll have to check out one of their nightly meal specials like the Monday night crab legs or I pray to god they bring back the prime rib night one day. Thank god for weekday happy hours with GOOD FOOD and hope to stop in again asap.

I love the atmosphere and vibe of this place, but I like my pizza with more cheese and more toppings. Just my personal preference!

I've been to Lloyd's countless times and honestly it just always gets better. Parking is iffy but I am always willing to forgive it here!! It's a small lot. The drinks are cheap which is a bonus and for the starters you have to get the fried mozzarella (BEST CHEESE PULL EVER) and the cheesy bread. Both are just unbelievable. For the pizza, you can't go wrong with anything but this most recent time we got the cheese and a great white and these slices are huge and delicious. The crust is perfectly thin and toasted and the everything just tastes so good. Staff here is always awesome and the vibes inside are old school and I love it. An Atlanta classic!

    Bolognese pizza
    Bryan L.

Bolognese pizza was a lot lighter than I thought. Tomato sauce tasted fresh, ricotta was crumbly, sausage was a little dry but balanced the flavor well. Crust was puffy, thin, and delicate. Got the hot honey. Perfect compliment to the salty and richness of the pizza. Wish it was less runny. Came at 8pm on a Tuesday. Wait for food was 30-40 min.

I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

The wings were all well seasoned, and even the dry rub wings didn't taste dry. It tasted tender and juicy and I've never experienced that before with dry rub wings. I wouldn't recommend the Korean bbq wings since it didn't have enough tangyness to it and didn't stand out. The French fries are a must order. I will say that I definitely preferred the wet wings to the dry wings. I found the dry wings to be a little too salty. In my opinion, the wings and the cook on them were just okay. I wasn't blown away or anything. Maybe the relatively cheap beer and the vibes help draw in all the appeal. TLDR// I don't think I had the greatest wings of all time here, but the vibes were really casual and pleasant. I'm glad I was able to try a place so beloved by locals.
