This is the best place to adopt a dog. The time the staff spends with you is top notch. The quality…read moreof care for the animals and the new parent adopters are amazing. I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

0 stars. I had a very upsetting experience in september with this rescue. I was setup to foster…read moreadopt, 2 puppies, that were "boxers". I went and spent over $1000 dollars getting my current pets shots up to date and buying food and indoor pen for the pups and toys and treats. I was setup to receive them on sept 6th. I had to wait a month because they had to be a certain age. In that time my home got fully vetted by them and references checked. It was go time!! I was told i have to meet this fosterer at walmart in chehalis on that date no exceptions. I schedule time off work and my sister took off work for this fun day to go drive up there 150 miles to pick them up. The monday 2 days before pickup they called me and told me they cant do it that day and could i come on another day all the way to pyallup....or they could possibly find someone that friday to drive to my house to bring them. I was so excited!! Now frustrated and feeling like somethings not right. Upset that we had scheduled time off and had it all ready because we were told there was no other day option... but the fosterer wanted the dogs 1 more day because they might be sick from their vaccinations. (But i was supposed to be picking them up straight from the vet appt?l) so the volunteer person who sets up travel for the pup contacts me and she is not pleasant. She asked me if i could drive up on the weekend and i said i had to take my kid to comicon and we would have to work around times. (Still not hearing back if they were going to come to my house or not) i thought there were still options. Then all the sudden she calls me back and says sorry i just set them up to go to a foster in pyuallup and they will be keeping them till they are 16 weeks old u can apply for them then. I about lost it! . They started accusing me of not having a vehicle and they dont trust that i would be able to get the pups to after care in sherwood oregon. I have a car and a home that the pups wouldve thrived. At 16 weeks i never got a call they were ready. Then i see them advertising the pups needing a home!!!! I was also told they were boxers. Then boxer german shephard mix. Then dna was done and all the sudden im adopting boxer doberman pincher. I wouldve loved them anyway but dont advertise boxers if they clearly dont even look like a boxer! One more issue. The day that they said they had no drivers to bring them to my house they had also mentioned to me all their volunteers were busy driving to southern oregon for a gettogether for nw boxer rescue. Driving right past my house!! It seems they can cancel reschedule and kill your hopes and dreams at leisure but if you need to modify a time or need some working with they have zero tolerance.

If I could put zero stars, I would. We have adopted and fostered for over 10 years and they throw…read moreus away like trash.

A couple of years ago when I was traveling out of town on business, I got a frantic call from my…read morewife that our dog had gotten out of our yard and was nowhere to be found. I was in a pretty helpless position as I was not due to be home for several days. My son came up with a great idea and checked online to see if our dog had been found and turned in to the RASKC. Sure enough, she was there. My wife went down the next morning, paid the fee and picked her up. She had been well treated, and we are very thankful that they found her and gave her a good safe place until we could come get her. My son said that she was so excited to see him. She cried and whined, and fell asleep in his arms in the car. Thank you very much

I intend this to be constructive: please fix your system!…read more 1. volunteers: please let the volunteers try to get through the system once so they understand the user experience and understand the waitlist app and how it looks, what the user sees, and how it calls us. everyone should have to do this. today i was treated rudely (like a scam artist or something) by volunteers while i was doing precisely what i was told to do by the waitlist and the front desk. 2. the waitlist app: the waitlist app is absolutely and totally broken. I waited through a list of 8 people and when I got to the top i was randomly dropped to number 5 again. I waited again. the third time i was at the top, I went to the adoption center they said my name was nowhere on the list at all. it went on and on! I was there for 2 hours of this. I know that you are underfunded but really--why is this so bizarrely inept and broken? Just make a PAPER LIST and call us, like a restaurant hostess would do. We didn't adopt, but we will from a good organization. And the place we adopt from will also receive our donation money.
