I can't recommend George enough! He is patient, funny, serious, effective and flexible. I'm an expecting mom and my husband and I wanted to learn infant and child CPR. I contacted George via text (he's so responsive!) and he setup a time to see us. He said it's so important that we know this and since we don't need to be certified or get a book, it was free. He does Mondays at 11a for this, and even spent labor day with us!! We show up today and George greets us with water and we get to work right away. He spent a whole hour with us going over adult, child, and infant CPR and choking. He went over the AED. He asked us questions throughout making sure we understood timing and steps. Everything was hands on. No videos. No reading. Just do. We learned so much. We both had taken CPR years ago but this was an essential refresher. Whether you just want to learn CPR or you need an official certification for your job, look no further. Thank you, George. You're doing the world a service. I took PALS with George on Monday which also happened to be Labor Day. Due to a change in my family's plans, I could no longer go on my previously scheduled date, but George accommodated me on a holiday which was so kind. He helped me understand PALS in a way I had never understood before and made every scenario relevant to the work I do in the hospital. I learned so much and no longer fear PALS. (Which is huge!) I have taken soooooo many bls classes over the years, they got nothing on This class. It's not your usual monotone instructor. George is upbeat & enthusiastic; the facility is clean & fresh, not your usual grungy old room. It was a Friday afternoon when I get a call from my manager that my BLS was expiring; on Monday .... oops. You all know how hard it is to renew BLS in a short amount of time. I called George & he was able to squeeze me in the following day. Since, I wasn't able to find a baby sitter; George was accommodating and my baby joined the class as well. I drove from Mountain House to Daily City. It was a long drive but it's well worth it when you need that BLS asap. So don't waste your time looking else where. Just call George and join his class. George is an incredible instructor. He is very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. You'll learn a lot from him! I took the ACLS initial class -the class focuses on "hands on" skills. So, be prepared to do cycles of chest compressions! George K knows his stuff. And he's really good at condensing and presenting the material in the most efficient, memorable way. I've taken and renewed my Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers so many times as an EMT and now as a nursing student. I thought I had taken a couple of CPR classes with excellent instructors, but George takes it to a whole new level. He got the whole class engaged and involved. I even learned a new few tips/tricks along the way. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? It was good times. As a side note, I noticed that he was very accommodating and patient with those who were new to CPR. He stayed after class as long as you needed him to answer any questions. George is the best! Took the class and for a first timer, I was super nervous and scared that I'd probably do everything wrong and make the instructor frustrated. But George does an amazing job explaining everything and making sure your skills are up to par. I love the way he ties in some physiology as he's explaining why certain things have to be done a certain way. All in all, he does a great job of tying it all together and making sure you're comfortable. After his class, I felt confident about what I've learned and more than ready. I needed to squeeze in my CPR certification and sure enough, George did everything in his power to accommodate me with a day or twos notice. I got the sense straight off the bat that he's a stand up guy who knows his material. George is a great instructor! I met him about 2 years ago when I first needed to be CPR certified for nursing school. My initial experience with him was awesome; he was so thorough about all the information and rationales and I loved the hands on application with the "dummies" (chest compressions are definitely a work out).
