George Khoury teaches a unique class that gets players engaged on a level above what could ever be expected from a regular class. His narrative format keeps you on your toes and makes you think... constantly keeping you mentally and physically involved in what real life scenarios are like, and thinking about how you would respond and what your role would be in a real life threatening emergency, with constant focus on how you can best perform with the best outcome for the patient in mind. That said, the class is non-threatening and supportive because his playful and engaging nature makes participants feel comfortable and confident, in situations where someone is dying, which are critical, and often scary. He is passionate about patient care, patient (and family) outcomes, and healthcare provider empowerment, which is why I come back every time, despite the hour drive (both ways). You will not find a better class if you truly care about your profession and your skills. George is a master at his craft. Took NRP for the first time! George was super accommodating with the class time and even went out of his way to help me get supplies so that I can print my documents. The class was very informative- on a whole different level. It is impactful and very thought provoking. It's not just how to save a life- I mean it IS that- Chest compressions depth of 1/3 the body, 100-120x/min, push Epi 1 mg q 3-5 min, legal rhythms etc, etc..... but it is also- WHY you need to know this stuff- it's not just a patient- it's someone's family. It's also.... really really simple to learn it the way George does it. He teaches it simply so you remember it simply and remain calm when the time comes. I even learned and remembered all the Hs and Ts in a head to toe type of way that makes SENSE!! read more
