They made every effort to make us and our quests feel welcomed and comfortable. They let us in early to decorate, and allowed our board members to come in day in advance and bring in some donated goodies for this event. This venue is perfect for so many type of functions, either private or corporate, and it is clean, calm, asessable, classy, and just inviting with a nice view out to the nature. The bar was conveniently located by the lobby and next to the "mingling area." Parking lot has several handicap parking spaces right at the front entrance, and the layout of the parking is practical. Thank you to The Metropolitan Club! You made our day perfect. Your family and staff deserve way more than five stars. Next time we will take a spin on the dance floor. Thank you again.

Once I got all my stuff up, there were plenty of outlets near me and as far as I could tell in the entire space. The overall decor and vibe was new and modern and had many seating options. There were plush chairs, bar height tables and chairs and regular dining room style tables. I set up in the middle facing the outdoor deck, which was spacious and well decorated. There is a full kitchen and the bathrooms are for multiple people at the same time, not a singular one where you lock the door. This is a great space for your event!

I forget the name but it's there most popular according to their menu. In 2021 it was a dark red and delicious!! This time it was a medium pink. It tasted very watered down. The sandwiches-smoked salmon with cream cheese on bread. I wonder how many people actually eat that? We tossed it. The pimento cheese was good but served on a nutty brown bread-not the bread for pimento cheese. The curried chicken salad, not good at all. We didn't eat it. The egg salad had zero flavor. It was like plain eggs and mayo. Not even a tad a salt. The same with the cucumber sandwiches. Zero flavor. It just tasted like cream cheese. The lemon curd and jam for the scones was delicious. The scone, fairly average at best. The desserts, we didn't eat them. I'm very sad I'm leaving this review. I wonder if the owner is different or if they are having financial troubles and cutting costs. My niece wanted to take me there as a thank you for helping her and I steered her away due to the price and experience not being in line. Just a side note, I overheard someone that walked in ask if they could be seated as they had been calling for several days and no one would call them back. Seems to be a theme. After that, no one answered the phone for the rest of Tuesday, Wednesday, or most of Thursday. When he finally reached someone right before closing on Thursday, he was told they were completely booked. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to the lack of communication and follow-up. We understand places get busy, but not returning calls and then suddenly being fully booked after initially confirming availability is poor customer service. Their reservation system also clearly needs improvement. An online reservation model would make much more sense because the current phone-based process is not working effectively. Although I've enjoyed tea here on a couple of different occasions, the experience is not astonishing enough to return after this reservation experience.
