I just dropped in for a drink and some apps but found the mixologist wasn't going to be in that night. Had some of the Vintage Chicken 65 which pairs really well with a good beer. Firefly is easily one of my favorite restaurants! I come here almost every month and have become such a regular that I even know some of the staff now. If you're visiting for the first time, the Bangalore Chili Chicken is an absolute must-try. It's the one dish I order every single time because it's perfectly spicy, fresh, tangy, and packed with flavor. They also have a great variety of food and drink options. Another favorite of mine is the Butter Tikka Masala. it's rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, especially when paired with garlic naan and rice. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always great. We went with family of 5 to try Mandi for the first time. It's really big. But worth trying. Quantity is really good. 4 Adulta can easily finish off that Mandi. We had Mutton Biryani Delux. It came with Biryani rice, chicken leg quarters, liver fry, Boti, Paya, Naan and they gave complimentary dessert. Price is little high though. This happened a month ago. It was a ToGo experience at this restaurant, trying their Wednesday Biryani special, which offers a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) deal. I ordered a Paneer Biryani and a Mushroom Biryani, taking advantage of the mix-and-match option. However, despite specifically requesting mild to medium spice levels over the phone, the biryani was overwhelmingly spicy. It was as if a packet of chili powder had been added, making it unbearable without a large bowl of raita (yogurt) to cool it down. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of my expectations, and I'm hesitant to try their other menu items. The excessive spice level seemed to prioritize sales over customer preferences, which is concerning. Given the positive reviews from others, I'm wondering if this was an isolated incident or a deliberate attempt to cater to a specific taste profile. Burger was good and that's where the positive ends. Service was one of the worst experiences. (Our waitress was doing the best she could ) 3 tables in the whole building. Us (table of 5) another one (4 people) and another table.... Maybe 2? 45 min to get food. 2 burgers, 2 quesadillas and a Philly. Ridiculous. This place recently went through a new management takeover and it has been buzzing ever since. This has now become our regular hangout spot with our friends and family and the food is obviously as desi and spicy you can get and the drinks and the service is amazing. The staff are super friendly and make you feel home. I liked the tandoori chicken which had a great flavour, the Bangalore chilli chicken which was spicy with green chilli marinade, Chicken 65 medium spiced and Vijaywada Chicken biryani( edium spice well flavored rice are yummy too. They also did a great job with the Lemon Mojito and cocktails. The pricing is value for money, coupled with wonderful service and friendly owners. The entrance to the restaurant is back way once you enter the complex (UPS/Mellow Mushroom etc). As soon as you enter you notice how massive this place is. Huge dining area, bar and i believe they have gaming/hookah area as well. Tried chicken tenders, biryani. The food was delicious. The salan (sauce) they gave with biryani iz one of the best i have had in OTP area. Its a great place to hangout with friends and they are open late night. Plenty of parking area. read more

The beverages were good, especially the LIT. The star for us however was the appetizer. Good portions, well cooked chicken and a unique sauce - subtly spicy and creamy all at the same time. We enjoyed it to the last bite. The double egg hakka noodles were a disappointment. Smelled too much of ginger garlic paste and the seasoning was underwhelming. The service was good. They say it's just as good, if not better than food in India they've had. The name and the "American food" on the menu downplays how authentic this Indian cuisine is. I suppose it is bc the building is facing the backstreets of Windward Parkway -- behind the Starbucks and Mellow Mushroom front facing side. Though Firefly has been open 5 years now... The crowd here seems dispersed. The inside was surrounded by large windows with oak all around. The vibe here is def chill. At some parts of the restaurant, the natural light didn't filter thru though. There was an outside area that faces the sun --during warmer weather-- would be a great place for happy hour. The food looked and tasted great, though it was a bit oily... I ordered the salmon BLT with brussel sprouts as my side (sandwiches comes with one side). The sandwich was huge and pretty flavorful. The sandwich's spread added a nice flavor touch but didn't deduct to the less than greasy fingers as an aftermath. The brussel sprouts were slightly crispy and flavorful. Wow, I don't even really know where to begin. First off, the restaurant was completely empty and I was ignored for about 5 minutes before even acknowledged. Ordered a grill chicken sandwich and it took 45 minutes. Came out fried and not grilled and was literally the size of a mini slider from White Castle. It was placed on a mini .99 cent bun that was smashed. But hey they did include a cute little umbrella on it. I took off the bread and the chicken portion was literally the size of a small Wendy's chicken finger. Avoid this place, food not good at all and horrible service. My wife and I wanted to find a nice place to have a night of live music for our trip to Atlanta. We decided to stay in Alpharetta instead of the city of Atlanta. So after doing a little research I came across a promotion for a singer by the name of Karen Bryant who would be singing at "The Fire Fly cafe and bar". So I checked the reviews here and while above average stars, I didn't quite have enough to completely sell me. However based on what I did see I thought it's worth the try! So I made reservations for 7:30 Saturday night. We arrived and was immediately greeted with a smile and compliments from a young lady who I believe was the owner or manager. She complemented us on our dress and escorted us to our table which had our names and note showing it was reserved. This impressed my wife and I. After being seated at the front near the band we realized we were right next to the speakers. So I was a little uncomfortable on the ears. Shortly after we were greeted by the waitress Mya (hopefully I have the correct spelling). She was very nice and took our drink order. It did not take long to get them and bring them to us. Then she took our order. At that point the band started and my goodness! Karen started the party of right with a upbeat but smooth song that got the crowd feeling right! They were great throughout the whole night! Unfortunately, the food fell just a little short for me and the wait time was quite long. I believe we waited for about 30-45 mins. While my wife enjoyed the lemon salmon and Brussel sprouts, I could not finish the jambalaya I had ordered. While the portion was a hearty size, it was rather salty. When Mya returned and asked how it was I explained the situation and she apologized and asked if there was anything different she could get for me. I told her no and that is was ok. She apologized again and said she would make the kitchen aware. In the meantime the band continued to impress. After bringing the bill we found out that we were not charged for the jambalaya. There were a few things that needed to be adjusted on the bill however she did everything she could to fix it. After that the show continued on until after 11 which is about the time we left. So in summary...... the food could be better but the staff, vibe, ambience and entertainment was great! However, I would have thought I visited the restaurant on opening night based on the wait, bar and kitchen service; but reading the reviews they have been in business a while. The good reviews do not correlate to the experience we had. It was a Friday evening, we made reservations at 7pm but never needed them as no one was in the restaurant. Everything was uncoordinated and took nearly 2 hours to get dinner out to a party of 11. It took 30 minutes to get drinks out and another 75 mins for dinner. The menu needs rework. The experience gave me the impression that they are vying for a spot on Bar Rescue or Kitchen Nightmares. read more

This place has some potential. My issues were as follows: Table was sticky and dirty when I was sat. They came to clean it but it remained sticky. I think the cleaning product was mixed incorrectly and was too highly concentrated. Asked for soda water. The soda water came and was as flat as regular water. Turns out I was served water from the bottle that no one knew how long had been open. Ordered Queso... it was comparable to Lays cheese sauce you can purchase from Kroger. We also requested tortillas to come with the queso and the server told us they don't have any. Yes they serve wraps, tacos etc. so he said he would go check and then never came back My Reuben was edible. But the side of veggies were so obviously microwaved it just put the nail in the coffin. Some friends and I had dinner here last night for the first time. There was hardly anyone in the place. The food was not that great. Draft beer tasted watered down. My friends salad was wilted and borderline mushy. Sides are waaaayyyy to pricey for the quality. A bowl of plain French fries for $6? If it had been a classier place...maybe. On top of everything, the air did not work. People were outside smoking so every time the door to the patio opened, the cigarette smoke came in. Disappointing place for the hype on their website. Right off the bat, the music was grating and not exactly the best choice, but that's my personal opinion. Someone might like it. Here's the reason why I'm leaving such a lukewarm review. Me and my coworker both got the fish and chips. His portion size was three large fish and one medium sized one. My portion size was two medium sized fish and one small one. We both paid the same. They tasted delicious and the fries were seasoned wonderfully but I left hungry and wanting as much as my coworker got. Update!
