So this will be a second review of gingerly therapy. My last review was about Gingerly as a whole…read moreand one of my son's therapists' name Tara. Gingerly has two therapists system. This is great, so my son will always have someone he could be familiar with , and clearly, people need time off, and I think it's fantastic. I remember when my son had his interview, and they said that to me, I was relieved. I was even telling my wife, before they interview how I wonder what happens if the therapist is sick? do they have someone who kinda floats around? So I am glad they have this. So, speaking of the secondary therapist. My son's other therapist is named Tracy. Tracy, now does my home visit, and she also does work with my son during the week at the center. I think a good word to describe her is authentic. She is down to earth, professional, but also pretty personable. I dont think I need to go into her background because clearly you have to be pretty intelligent to go to school and get this certification. She is great with my son. My son is very comfortable around. I want to say maybe about every two weeks I see something new in my son's behavior in a positive way. I mean, a lot of what is done is repeated, reinforced and intentional and clearly works. Let's be honest. Dealing with children is not a job for everybody. It takes a certain type of person not only to deal with children but a special needs child. I appreciate everything she does. We are lucky to have her on this team. So thank you, Tracy. I think I need to give a shout out to one other person. He may not think it's a big deal, but the fact he clearly doesn't have the attitude " That not my job". Now, granted, maybe it is part of his job, and I dont know it lol. So Steve is always on the computer from what I can see. The behind the scenes type of position. He will get up to get my son from me if the therapist isn't available right that second. Granted, the therapist is there 90% percent of the time. The other 10% is not their fault. I am 90% late all the time. So Steve is always willing to help get my son. I thought he should get some kind of recognition for his kindness.

Unfortunately, our experience with Gingerly was not a good one. In all fairness they have some…read morewonderful RBTs, it is the mismanagement that is the problem. About a month into working with them the owner called me to inform me that she had emailed another client my son's filled out paperwork. She had sent a huge packet with all of my son's protected information including ours to a total stranger. This is a violation of his HIPPA rights. She assured me that the person she emailed our information to was nice and they could probably be trusted not to steal our identities. Apparently, our son's filled-out packet was in the wrong folder on her computer. Unprofessional. Incompetent.  Despite this, I agreed to continue services without pursuing legal action because my son liked his RBT. After that, it was nothing but continued breakdowns in communication by a company that was not prepared. In the beginning, things seemed promising. Then they cut back his hours and said it was temporary and that once they hired someone he would get the time back. When they hired someone they still kept those days away from my son and threw the new girl into working with him. Thankfully she turned out to be nice but it was still wrong to take away the RBT he was comfortable with. Especially after saying they wouldn't. They gave me the reasoning that my son is not as bad as some of the other kids. You don't tell a child with autism one thing and then deliver another. Anyhow, accepted this situation and chose to just move on due to his attachment to his original RBT. For like a month or two, we settled into this new routine with both RBTs that allowed my son to get comfortable again before pulling the rug out from under him once more. In the last few months of service, there was a constant changing of schedules with no prior notice. The worst example? I was given a new schedule only to have it completely changed 8 days later. In the beginning, I was told the sessions would be 4 or 5 hours. In the end, he had days that were only 2 1/2 hours. My son told me on more than one occasion that his RBT was late or left early. When you ask them why things are changing, you will be given a lot of excuses. For example, I was told that the last round of cutting hours would work better to prevent them from coming and going while class was in session. It was a lie. I looked at the schedule and it did not match up. Faced with the difficult position of deciding to find a new company and start all over or just grin and bear it through the chaos, I chose to move on with a new company.  In the end, It just felt like they didn't care about my son. Case in point, I requested a gradual step down of services for the last 4 weeks of school to give him time to adjust. The owner refused and made the decision to abruptly cut off his service adding final insult to injury. Further illustrating, I feel,  how little she cares about the needs of the children under her "care." It just felt so petty and vindictive. Why punish my son for my decision to leave Gingerly? In good faith, I let them know we were moving on and thought they would work with me in slowing down the service. So much for "gingerly" care. I just can't fathom how someone could be so cruel to a child with disabilities. Her decision tells me I made the right choice in leaving the company. The only expectations I had going in were the expectations they set from the beginning. They couldn't even live up to them. My poor son was beside himself with grief. He spent a lot of time just crying. He still tells me he misses his RBTs. Putting my son through that was so unnecessary and just mean and spiteful. I was told several times that stepping down was always a possibility. I guess that was a lie as well. This experience hurt my son. These were supposed to be people he could trust. They failed him. Children with autism need compassion, stability, and predictability This ain't it.

To make a long story short: First, my daughter was attacked while under the care of these…read moreindividuals. Second, they are intentionally unclear, vague, and deceitful. My three-year-old daughter has been enrolled in this ABA therapy program since March 2024. Today, she was attacked in the clinic by another client--a client who, based on the location of my child's scars, is much bigger and/or older than her. This attack occurred at 12:45 PM, yet they chose not to inform us until 2:18 PM. Instead of calling, they texted. A situation like this warranted a phone call, not a text. They downplayed the severity, repeatedly calling it "little" and claiming they wanted to notify us "as soon as possible." Yet, it took them nearly two hours--via text--because they knew we would have picked her up early, costing them billable hours. Upon arriving, the director, Veronica, didn't greet me. Instead, she immediately launched into her version of the incident--one that contradicted both the text and the written report. The text said another client scratched my daughter's face. The report said she approached the client to share an item, and the client blocked her. But Veronica claimed my daughter tried to take a book, and the child pushed her away. If that were true, she wouldn't have multiple face scratches. Of course, they refuse to show me footage--because it's a lie. The male BCBA, Kioni, was supposedly supervising multiple clients and RBTs at once. The text claimed the RBT couldn't stop it in time, but in reality, the RBT wasn't even present. My daughter simply wasn't being supervised properly. To make matters worse, Veronica told me five different times, in five different ways, that it was my child's fault. My daughter is mild-mannered. Staff have repeatedly praised her for being calm, easy to work with, and affectionate. So no, my child was not the problem. The lack of control, erratic behavior of another client, and improper supervision were the real issues. Other serious concerns: *We EXPLICITLY told ABCS that under no circumstances should my daughter be under male supervision. They assured us this would never happen. Yet today, a male BCBA was watching her while her female RBT was on break. How many times has this happened? Their lies and deceit sicken me. *In December 2024, my daughter had a bald patch at the nape of her neck, as if someone had pulled her braids. She does not pull her hair, nor does her sister. The only time she's around other kids is at ABA. Yet when we asked, they all denied witnessing anything. My guess? Another child pulled her hair, but because there was no visible evidence to them at the time, they didn't report it. *In January 2025, we were told my daughter would be assigned a new RBT, Ariana. But several times at drop off we noticed a different person. When we asked, Ariana said, "Oh, I'm just helping them since -she- is easy to train with." That still made it seem like Ariana was her RBT but training others using my child. Weeks later, after pressing them, they admitted my daughter had actually not had a dedicated RBT for weeks. Why lie instead of being honest? *They accused us of being late to pick-up multiple times, recording us as 15 minutes late when my text receipts prove otherwise. They bill in 15-minute increments, rounding up after seven minutes. Even with that policy, it doesn't add up. Were we ever late? Yes. But not to the extent they claimed. Meanwhile, RBTs frequently canceled last minute without consequences. One mother, who relied on the bus, received the same threatening tardy letters we did. But staff can come and go as they please. *We asked if my daughter's other therapists (OT and ST) could provide services at the clinic for comprehensive care. Instead of prioritizing my child's needs, they prioritized billable hours and dodged giving us a straight answer for a full year. For months, we considered pulling our daughter out due to ongoing issues and feeling she wasn't receiving all the therapy she needed. But we stayed, holding on to hope. Even when the BCBA who originally recommended this clinic pulled her own kids out, we stayed. There's no telling what has happened to my child behind closed doors. But never again. I urge others to look elsewhere.

We were shocked. That was one of the many milestones she achieved. If you are lucky enough to have options, don't think about it twice, ABCS is the way to go. The facility is always clean, the staff are extremely friendly and they make the kiddos feel right at home. It was a tearful goodbye now that my daughter is onto Kinder. A big thanks to all the Staff who helped our daughter (you know who you are). We are forever grateful!

After 45 minutes waiting in the lobby with no updates from staff to how far behind the doctor is running, we were finally taken back into a room. At this time I asked how much longer it could be, and the staff member/receptionist informed us it would be at least an additional 30 minutes. The exam room was tiny room with no air flow at all. We were left there for an additional 45 minutes, no updates, no how are you doing, nothing. Finally at 2:00pm, we left the exam room and there were no staff/doctors to notice us in the hallways or at desks. We arrived at the front desk and the very pleasant but apathetic receptionist was notified we were leaving. She didn't seem surprised. Another patient waiting as we were leaving and said they have done the same thing to her at this office. This is an unacceptable way to run a practice and if this is the way his office is run at HIS direction, I can only imagine what his patients care is like. But we don't know because we never saw him and we WON'T be going back. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICAL PRACTICE - NEVADA INTERGRATED HEALTHCARE!
