I was in town for a funeral - had a rough day and was really run down when I checked in. Brianna was the lady working the front desk. She was so cheerful - her positive attitude and genuine smile lifted my spirits. Then when I was walking to my room there was a cleaning lady in the hallway who said "hi" and "hope you have a nice day". Got into my room and it was super clean. Everything was uplifting, and I'm especially grateful the Residence Inn in Beaumont hires such friendly staff and takes pride in their property. I have not had this same level of experience staying at hotels in Beaumont in the past - this is my go-to place moving forward when I come to town! read more

I got a nice room overlooking a pond. The hotel is in pretty good shape but there are noticeable wear and tear. There was a broken shelf in the shower stall and the microwave had damage like someone put metal in it. It was melted inside. The a/c unit was extremely loud and whenever it turned on it woke me up with a start. Otherwise, it was quiet - no trouble from other guests. The area is not the best especially with construction. Requested early check in and they were 2 hours past regular check in. Then didn't notify us, while we sat in lobby waiting for an hour that room was ready. Finally get to our room (not the one requested because it ended up not being available at all at this point) and there is hair inside the bed/sheets. Overall the place looks clean and new/nice so I was surprised the find the bedsheets looking used. Then we requested late check out for 3p because I had a work call I needed to be on at 1p (normal check out) and THEY GAVE SOMEONE ELSE A KEY TO MY ROOM WHILE I WAS IN IT AFTER APPROVING THE EXTENSION. Came in April for a bird festival and decided to try this out. I really loved this hotel. It was in a "newish" developed area and everything was bright and shiny. I really loved the room because it was pretty roomy. The check in was easy and the staff were great. Two things to have a heads up on: First off the elevator (just one) is SLOWWWW. I can't believe what this place will be post COVID when full and you are trying to get off of a floor. Second, the exit is real wonky. Depending on where you are going after leaving or how you are coming in, it is not very conveniently located. Lots of twisty turns with no red lights to get in and out. I booked my stay on Booking.com to get a good price ($119). Booking simply described the property as "pet friendly". There was NO pet fee disclosed. When I arrived with my dog I was charged a $125 + $7.50 non-refundable pet charge. My dogs stay was more expensive than mine. I have stayed at much much nicer hotels and have NEVER had this issue. I spoke with the manager of the property, who was nice, as was the desk clerk, but to no avail. He was unapologetic and could not be budged even though the pet fee was not clearly disclosed prior to my booking. One night at the Residence in is not worth $273.59 - NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!! read more

The best hotel I have stayed at in Beaumont so far! We come here often since my husband grew up in the area and we usually get a hotel. This Residence Inn is my new go to spot from now on. We had a king suite room and it was perfect. The room itself had a full kitchen, desk and small living room area plus the king bed and bathroom. The couch folds out to a bed if you need it too. It was the perfect amount of space for traveling with a baby. I had room to put my baby swing up and put a blanket down for her to play on. The room was super clean and the bed was comfy. They also have complimentary hot breakfast, which is awesome. Eggs, sausage, bacon and waffles plus your choice of cereals, yogurts and pastries on the buffet. I stayed here 3 nights. When staying in Beaumont I always enjoy Marriott properties and this location fits the bill. I stay here frequently and always enjoy my stay here. I am not a big fan of the dinner program they offer, but the breakfast is perfect. I believe there has been a recent management change. I don't see them like in the past. Live in Houston but have to come to Beaumont for work occasionally. Instead of driving back and forth, I'll stay in Beaumont. The hotels here are terrible and this one is semi-decent. This time around I was given room 201. It has a knocking noise from with the walls which I'm guessing from the pipes. There is also water damage on the ceiling which explains why I started getting hives as I'm allergic to mold. I didn't see any but wouldn't be surprised if there was any in the ceiling. Anyway, not staying here again. read more

This hotel is essentially the only decent hotel in Beaumont that allows pets. Sadly, they seem to be taking advantage of this fact as they charge anyone travelling with pets a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE per NIGHT. This is price gouging for sure, there is no way house-keeping spends ten hours of cleaning after a visit with pets ($10/hr x 10hrs=$100). This is the opposite of the definition for being "pet-friendly". What a rip off... read more

Lordy lordy. This placed SUCKS. I stayed here one night using points during a move. Check in took around 5 minutes for the agent to emerge from the back to check me in. No biggie. Got to my room and the stench of deodorizer just hit me in the face. It smelled like they were trying to mask the smell of smoke or mold. I couldn't access wifi and called the desk and it took 5+ minutes for the phone to be answered. I was given a phone number for support. The whole ordeal took 30 minutes for me to get access to the wifi, which was needed to get dinner and the clock was ticking. I then used the Marriott app to contact the desk about the smell of the room. It took 9 hours to get a response. When I got a response it was very non apology apology. I planned on just contacting corporate about it but upon check out, the agent apologized again and i explained the other issues I had and she apologized and promised compensation for it. I waited a week and didn't see or hear anything. I called the property and spoke to an agent and had to relive the entire experience and was told that 'she'd have to talk to the manager' and that she'd call me back. I never received that call. I then contacted Marriott customer care and they FINALLY took care of the issue. I'd tell anyone that would listen to NOT stay here. Management seems completely unphased by upset guests and even more surprising is their lack of care or service given towards their elite loyalty guests. Choose wisely and don't stay at this dump. read more

This review is ONLY for their pet policy. Good news is that they are a pet-friendly hotel. BAD NEWS is they charge an insane $100 non-refundable pet "deposit" for our furry babies. There's nothing "pet-friendly" about that. They even post a sticker at the entrance supporting bringfido.com. For shame! HOLIDAY INN & SUITES is a much bigger chain and charged us only $50 and they are just down the street. read more

This is the absolute WORST Residence Inn property I've EVER stayed in! As soon as I walked in the lobby it smelled of URINE! As I went to my room the smell didn't get better. At 1am, I was forced to request a different room because the toilet didn't flush. 2nd room smell any better. The overall upkeep of the hotel left a LOT to be desired. Trash cans outside exits were overflowing with trash. Ugh. I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I checked out the very next morning and went to another hotel in the area. I will never stay at this property again. I had a guest and didn't even feel comfortable letting them into my room. read more

When a baseball team decides to patronize your hotel and spend thousands of dollars for a week's stay, don't call the cops at 8pm when the pool doesn't close til 10. Just because ur hotel is overrun with children from multiple baseball teams, it doesn't mean u need to call the cops bc u don't want to deal with people that want to swim in ur pool, grill some meat on ur grills, and kick back, relax, and have some fun. U think ud appreciate ppl willing to travel and spend money at ur hotel. We'll be staying at a different hotel next time -- if there is a next time for us in Beaumont (unlikely!). read more

This hotel was truly the worst experience my son ever had. He literally had his clothes stolen from his room and the manager, BRANDON JOSEPH was curt and rude to him in person and to me on the phone when I tried to find out what they were going to do about it. His response was that they needed receipts to replace anything. You have a reasonable expectation that your clothing is safe in your room. My son is a college student and was traveling with another family on his way home for spring break and his clothes were in a plastic bag and they were taken from the room. Never had a bad experience with Marriott before. Will recommend to everyone to stay anywhere's else from now on. We reserved at the Hilton and had to flee that hotel nightmare. Thank God, the Marriott always comes through!!!! The rooms are mini studios, full kitchens, and the rooms have couches. They had a sign in the lobby that they are pet friendly! I would have brought my pups had I known!!! read more

My husband stays here for work nearly every week, and I visit him regularly. This hotel is great. The rooms are large, very clean, and have a kitchen with a big fridge, microwave, stovetop, sink, dishwasher, and enough dishes, cookware, and utensils to cook for a family of 4. There is an outdoor pool that's kept clean, even in the winter, both a gas and charcoal grill available for use, a mini sports court ( basketball and tennis, I think), two outdoor areas to relax, a gym, and books you can borrow. Breakfast is complimentary and is always delicious. There are always waffles, various breads and pastries, 3 types of juices, oatmeal with multiple toppings, cereals, boiled eggs, fruits, cheeses, spinach, salsa, and yogurt. Then they rotate hot foods, with at least 4 choices from items such as scrambled eggs, fried potAtoes, biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, chicken or turkey sausage, veggie "shredded meat", ham, etc. they also have coffee, water, and a variety of teas and add ins for the coffee. There's a small market for other food and other items you might need. There's also a coin operated laundry. The location is great because it's walking distance to a ton of restaurants (twin peaks, cheddars, joes crab shack, Waffle House, crackerbarrel) and even a movie theatre. The joined parking lots make for a great place to walk or run if you're so inclined, with a loop of about 1 mile. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

Checked in, went straight to dinner, went up to our room, and found a greasy sofa back that looks like a mechanic had wiped his or her hands on it, a cracked lamp that looks like someone used it as a club, and wallpaper peeling off the kitchen wall. We had a free night with our Marriott reward credit card and decided to use it here. The hotel was fairly empty the weekend we stayed, so we had our choice of rooms. We told the lady at the front desk give us a good room with a view. We got a pretty good sized suite with a view of the nearby river. We found ourselves constantly looking outside to see if we could see any alligators, or possibly Bigfoot. :-D There was a pool and a basketball court, both of which we didn't have time to use, but wished we did. The continental breakfast was short on food, but the breakfast area in the lobby was a good size. The location is near a lot of chain restaurants, as well as as movie theater. Jumping back on the freeway takes some time, but if you're smart about it and cut across some parking lots, it's easy. Wi-fi was a little slow, but it wasn't a big deal. Stayed here for a baseball tournament with a team 12 players so 12 rooms. Affordable 50 mi from fields in Sulphur LA but wouldn't have been able to take team with prices in sulphur la . Staff were ALL wonderful Great breakfasts for guests every morning free rooms clean had a fridge and microwave stove with dishes!! Except for the 50 min drive to fields to and from it was wonderful!! read more
