As someone who "Never" writes a review, I can tell you that the service I received from Olaf Karlsen of Resilience Glass, LLC, is worthy of my time to write this to all that are considering replacing windows in your home. Prior to my deep search for a Quality Window person in Santa Barbara, CA, I first stopped in to a well known shop on De La Vina. A shop I had used previously over the years. I got a quick quote for the work I needed and left sharing I'd call back to schedule the onsite review. I was in a bit of a hurry on this, as I had three windows blow out during the Wind Event that happened on Christmas Eve 2024. After calling back to tell the company that I had all of the openings prepared, they scheduled a visit for two days later. Then, I was told that the Mgr. had to approve the job and he was out all week. (I shared, he already quoted me, this was just to double check the measurements.) Well as a loyalist, I waited. I called back a few days later and the receptionist assured me she would call back. --- Didn't. Option number 2. I called another well known local company that had replaced my auto glass on more than one occasion. --- What do you know, same story, they have to come out to quote, even though I shared exactly what was needed. I wait again another day, the tech comes out, sees that my measurements and the application are as I shared and proceeded to again say that someone else has to provide the final quote. They never called back. (Even after I shared the story of the other company that didn't follow through.) And I was done chasing poor customer service. Option #3 - I call the next local company of the big 3 on Google and am told that one of my windows has to be an upgraded glass. (When it did not need to be - I've built plenty of homes and know that this was incorrect.) The sales reps said, it's only 10% more... Sorry, no sale. Option #4 - I look outside of the city and make a call to a Goleta operation. No upsell, but their price was more than I had been getting - even though the others weren't showing up. Finally, I find Resilience Glass. A quick email through the ResilenceGlass.com website and within minutes, I get a call back. I share my story with Olaf, including, as I had with the others, I just need the glass replaced, as I intend to install all new windows in my home later this year. (A good size sale upcoming to anyone really listening.) Olaf gave me a quote on the phone, and shared that he did not have to come out to the job site, seeing my photos and understanding my knowledge, was good for him. He provided me with a couple of different installation times and we locked down an appointment two days later, which was more convenient for me. With that, he arrived on-time and the windows were replaced as promised. And at a fair and honest price. Even if you feel, as I did before, that you're loyal to another local company, you owe it to yourself to call Resilience Glass... You are likely going to be very pleased you did. Don't get me wrong, the work itself was great. You cannot tell that my window was ever broken and Olaf was as friendly as can be. I fully recommend him/ Resilience Glass for good quality work. The reason for less than 5 stars was due to punctuality and time management. Showed up 1.5 hours unannounced before the time we had agreed on for consultation. Once we agreed on a time later in the day for him to come back and do the job, he showed up an hour and 45 minutes after the agreed time due to his previous job running over time. I understand that unexpected delays happen, but it would have been nice to get an update, especially since I had to move appointments I had later in the day around. Once the job was done and I went to pay, I was told the cost would be $175, which was more than the $145 quote given to me on Yelp. However he did give me a small $10 discount for paying in cash, making the total come out to $165. But, I expected some type of accommodation, recognition, or at least the quote given on Yelp due to his tardiness and inconveniencing the rest of my day. I was extremely disappointed that there was never a mention of regret for being tardy by such a large amount of time. If I hadn't been in a rush to get to my appointments that had already been delayed, I might have stuck around and complained or haggled him down. Regardless, the work done was nice and good quality, and from previous reviews/ Olaf's own responses, it seems that he has been punctual to other jobs and values his punctuality to respect other clients' time. This may have just been a one-off event. In essence, what you should take away from this review is the good quality, efficient execution, and the fact that the window looks good as new. read more

Last year we used Resilience Glass for shower doors and just recently to install several mirrors in our house including a huge 48x48" mirror in the dining room. The placement of each one is perfect!
