Appropriate food was provided by the farm which is good, so that nothing that isn't good for the animals is fed to them. The young lady that took us on our tour was fantastic. She was so kind and engaging with my grandson. She always reassured him when he seemed a little apprehensive about the larger animals. Tickets are only $10, and that alone, is worth the 5-star review. For less than the price of a couple coffee's or cartons of eggs, you are able to have some really cool interactions with animals. If you want to experience anything else like this, you'll have to drive an hour to the Houston Zoo, pay a lot more money for tickets, deal with crowds/parking/etc. The Learning Zoo is obviously not trying to compare itself to the Houston Zoo, but where else are you going to get to play with goats, pigs, birds, a pony, tortoises and snakes? The location is really hidden behind 1488. You drive through a residential street, and then all the way at the back, you make a couple of turns, and suddenly you're at The Learning Zoo. When you walk in, you are offered some lettuce and carrots for the animals for an additional $10, which is definitely worth it. Plus, they have some animals inside the lobby area - snakes, hedgehogs, other reptiles, etc. Then you head outside to the main part of the experience. You can walk amongst the tortoises, get "attacked" by all of the birds in their sanctuary, join the goats and pigs in their pen, and they even brought out a 14 foot snake for people to hold and take pictures with. Everyone here was incredibly nice, too. We were only there for about 45 minutes, but for $40, it was worth every penny.

I know everything has gone up recently but I was a little blown away by this price. I would've expected a little more animals to pet or even some outdoor games to make up for this amount. Parking: Get here early or you will be parking in the "additional" parking spot which is a mowed field. Nothing against a mowed field but it isnt close so be ready to walk a little. Also, it gets pretty dusty so if your eyes are sensitive, I'd bring some eye drops. We went on a Friday night and thankfully it wasn't too packed. Parking was free and there was plenty of space in the lot. Getting out wasn't bad at all either. Like what other reviews have stated, the tickets are not cheap ($45 after tax). But I will say, the entire setup of the area is super cute and well decorated. Not only are there so many places for photo ops but there are also a ton of activities for kids. And honestly, even as an adult, my friends and I had a blast- just channel your inner child and go on those rides! There were mini rollercoasters, slides, petting zoos, a firework show, and so much more. Our time slot was 7-10 pm but honestly, I would try to get there earlier (i.e. 5 pm slot) especially if you purchased exclusive attractions (i.e. haunted house, corn maze, etc). With the general admuission tickets, you don't have access to the special attractions but you can purchase them at Dewberry farm- I believe it was $7.99 each. But if you're already set on going to numerous special attractions, just get the whole package online. First blueberry picking day of the season here at Chmielewski's…read more Check their website for the day before coming, to make sure they're open -- opening hours and days just depend on the conditions and blueberry readiness. There's a reasonable $1 admission for each person over 2yo, and right now the blueberries are $5/lb. There are also blackberries grown here, but I'm not sure if they're ready for picking- we only did blueberries. There is a little bit of shade, but most of the blueberry bushes are unshaded. Bring sun protection and water! The parking is right by the pay/checkout area, and the blueberry bushes are right there as well. No long walk to get to the picking area.
