The selection of food, snacks, drinks, and Buc-ee's merchandise is impressive, and the breakfast sandwiches are definitely worth grabbing for the road. Also, do not pass on the jerky, fresh, delicious, and a wide variety of flavors! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restrooms were exceptionally clean--which is a huge plus on a road trip. I love how the restrooms have red and green lights to let you know if they are available. There's also plenty of parking and lots of pumps, so getting in and out is easy. Overall, Buc-ee's is certainly not just a gas station--it's an experience. Consider a free to visit attraction! Great food, great service, a fun atmosphere, and some of the cleanest facilities you'll find on the road. I'll definitely be stopping here again!

We were heading up north on a road trip and even though we would be passing other Buc-ees locations, we decided to check this one out since it was new to us. I like visiting different locations to see what their themes are regarding designs based on the location. For example, the Daytona location has race car flags in their themed items. I did not find anything here that was distinct to St. Augustine though. I mean it could be because I was so distracted with the chaos that I didn't see anything. Like any other locations, this location also has several food options and is always stocked up. You can find almost everything here. They even have seasonal themed items for the holidays! I have been to this location I think 2-3 times and it is always busy, like all locations. The cashiers work very quickly so the lines move fast.

At night it is well lit and there's security on the premises. My girlfriend and I stopped here after midnight and we both felt perfectly safe. Restrooms were clean and there was plenty of toilet paper; although, most of the soap dispensers were empty. There was soap though and I'm pretty sure they were refilled promptly the next morning. There's also plenty of parking if you are driving a tractor/trailer, RV, etc. Very easy to exit I-95 and then get right back on.

Not all people are (cough, cough)...tidy and/or clean, nor do they take care of their own messes, and this can make any rest stop employee's work more challenging than it should be. I seem to stop at this rest area a fair amount, and I'm always happy it is clean, has toilet paper, is well lit, I feel safe, etc., all of it is always good to go in my opinion. That is not the case with a lot of rest areas in my travels. But still, this is a thankless job and I if I ever see folks working here...I thank them for all they do. That said, I want to give a shout-out to them now...thank you for making this a pleasurable stop for all travelers. It is not easy having to tidy up after certain humans, and I, for one, am grateful we have folks who enjoy what they do in looking after us travelers and are there for us. If you are passing through, don't hesitate to stop. They not only have clean restrooms, but also ample parking, a picnic area, and a dog walking area. There are vending machines as well. There is ample parking for truckers too!
