One of four ramps leading to the beach
    Chakkuri W.

My husband and I stayed in one of the park model units at Bryn Mawr this past week. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Pros: - Friendly office staff - Maintenance crew stays on top of trash pick up and property issues - Four beach access gates/ramps - Two pools and hot tub on property - All property facilities (restrooms, showers, laundry room, pools, etc.) were kept very clean - Dog park up front - Dog friendly Cons: - The free wifi did not work the entire time we were there - Guests are "nickel and dimed" for too many things (fee for washing your car, fee for upgraded wifi, fee for visitors, etc.) - While staff was very friendly, they were not exactly helpful - Continuous problems opening the locked gates leading to/from the beach - The main pool was closed on a hot Saturday for maintenance - The sites are VERY small with no elbow room in-between. RVs were packed in like sardines.

This is our lot their trash. You can see their hoses and door mat. Imagine you are sitting there eating dinner.

While the beach and campsites were nice, the management totally failed on addressing issues we had with the neighbors who decided to pull into their lot rather than backing in. That located their door two feet from our picnic table area. I was outside with my 10 lb dog and they had 2 German shepherds that broke loose from them and chased my little dog under our camper. He was terrified and so was I. My dog is 16 and has heart problems. The neighbors continuously walked their dogs through our lot even when we were outside. I notified the office and was told by the lady in the office that the grassy area between campers is a "commons space". So unlike any campground I've camped at in my life, this one will rent you a concrete pad but anyone can use your green space located between yourself and your neighbors. After we addressed our concerns with the office staff the neighbors were even worse. walking right up behind us as we were eating etc. WITH THEIR DOGS. They left theirs dogs behind one day and the whole time we were cooking and eating we listened to their two dogs barking at us. We didn't bother to call the office. We were already told that "they come here all the time" so apparently repeat visitors get a free pass. We have never had such rude and inconsiderate neighbors in 63 years of camping. Go elsewhere. There's a great state park just down the road.

Fencing but the bathroom that is in need of repair.

The staff checking me in was so sweet upgraded me to king instead of 2 queen beds for no extra charge. Checking in was simple we drove around to where we went into different buildings. Nice seating outdoor area to chill out in! We only stayed a night so we didn't use all amenities. Our room was large . Didn't have a great view but we didn't care for one night. Bed was very comfy plus hot water in shower came on immediately which was great! Our room had big manatee paining from guy harvey collection! We decided to eat out after we walked to beach and went in the pool. After being in car all day it was amazing to relax in pool.. pool also had tiki bar with great drinks and beer menu! I would absolutely stay here again!

On second day, they were replacing a pipe, had to shut down the water. Took them all day to replace it, and then a bust pipe! It resulted in a disaster, there was no water all day and night. Worst nightmare. The water finally came back on the next day... for a few hours, then water shut off again! This time, I was told that their landscaping guy broke the pipe. It was really bad timing because it was one day before thanksgiving. Good that it only took a couple of hours to fix it this time. At least they did something right by offering partial discount (50% off of that one night). Every employee was nice and friendly except the house keeping lady who did our room. We greeted her, but she never greeted us back, always poker face. She only cleaned the drain in the shower one time, leave the hair in the drain for the rest of our stay. She didn't give us clean towels every day, didn't clean the trash bin in the shower. I never had this bad experience before. We booked the thanksgiving meal at the hotel, the meal was good as a buffet style food. Only one hour to dine, as they rotated the tables every hour. It cost us $50 per person plus taxes and tips, alcohol drinks not included. The meal was good, but I will not do it again. Breakfast not included in the room rate.

The room was ok, but again maybe a bit hotter, they did have a de- humidifier in the room going, which I appreciated. But everything just a lil dated and older. I stayed here for a work conference, they have a huge space for that. Also the work banquet dinner was really good, lol

The rug in the condo had lots of disguting stains, the screen door to the patio was completely ripped so we could not leave it open. The dryer left rust stains on our clothes and the heat sensors on the dryer were not working. The ice maker was not working at all and it was turned to the "on" position. There were no batteries in the remote for the primary bedroom TV, we called and were told housekeeping would bring up batteries, they never showed up so we just ended up sharing a remote with the other bedroom. The primary bedroom doesn't have cable but the living room and secondary bedrooms do (make that make sense). We came back very late one night to someone parked in our assigned spot, we called security but he wasn't even on site (also make that make sense), so we parked in visitor parking and my husband left a note on the car stating to not park in our spot. Come to find out the next day the person who parked in our spot was housekeeping. Why is housekeeping there at 1:00 AM? And they should not be parking in spots that are reserved for guests who are renting. We also found out that housekeeping came into our condo without our permission! There is no housekeeping services, so please tell me why someone is allowed to enter without permission or knowledge? We found this out because we had a vacuum in the closet and we went to go use it and it was gone. My husband went down to the office to find out what could have happened and he was told housekeeping is allowed to enter!! I don't have proof unfortunately, but I have some very expensive makeup go missing!! It never left the bathroom and was there the night before all this happened. Hot water doesn't last very long and almost non existent after a few minutes. The grounds really need some help with clean up and landscaping. Leaves and brush keep falling into the spa's and the pools. Very disappointed in our stay and don't feel safe knowing people can just enter without knowledge.
