Love being right by the ocean!!! Amazing for sunrise! Came at the right time of year when it's warm cool and not too hot!!

Beware! Do not let the location fool you of the beautiful beach - Rv park rundown. The staff is one of the worst and I do not make post and a very chill. I asked prior to booking about their facilities including beach front lots. I was told beach side you could see beach- no way to see over the large dunes. I was told pools were open and clearly asked. Wrong, know where on their site or when you call do they say there large pool has been CLOSED since OCTOBER 2023 . I had clearly called and asked about pools (2) bring open and was told yes on booking day. I was never told how to get into gate from beach or where to find code and got locked out... fyi gates don't unlock 1/2 the time from beach side, you must wait for someone to walk by to let you in. The small pool that is the only pool open is maxed out way past capacity. I asked for manager Renee to call about being very disappointed in our stay. I spoke with Elizabeth who said manager would call on a Monday and stated all issues about stay. Never received a callback. They just want your MONEY! This is what type of owner/ management is running this property.... Called back to property to speak to Renee and was SCREAMED at like i have never been spoken to that none of these issues were their fault. The FAULT lies that they are very untruthful and lie to get you there, checked in, and refuse to refund your money or a portion of it. If they were truthful About pool and lCk of open facilities that allows you to make your choice as to stay or not. We encountered at least 6 owners at this property that are also beyond disappointed in management and issues at the park. Blaming it on the city because they did not keep the park up is beyond disbelief. I would love to find out who owns this park and will further this investigation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR GOOD HARD MONEY TO BE SCREWED OVER. This staff of Renee and Elizabeth should be fired and not hired anywhere maybe they missed the honesty class and customer service 101. read more

Wow. This place is incredible. Not sure why there are so many lower reviews. Park spots are all individually owned. We only looked at beachfront, oceanfront sites. We normally go to destin west rv resort but wanted a change this year. I looked at a lot of drone videos. Checked campers on video. I thought it was doable. Still sitting here looking at ocean from our window. Positives. Beachront, oceanfront. Great drivable beach. A couple minutes walk fromour camper to the beach. MINUTES. Negatives. Well anything but oceanfront may be tight. Some of those spaces even are a bit tight. But just a handfull. Me, my cousin, and my uncle came to camp. 45 foot dp, 43 foot fifth wheel, 40 foot fifth wheel. Looks tight but is very doable to get to beachfront row. We have 40 foot jayco eagle fifth wheel 3 and 4 slide models. Some sites you cannot get those in for sure, but not many. Only 4 i cannot get in and i have the 40 foot fifth wheel. Looking at ocean from my lr window as i write this. I took copius notes on the best sites we can get in. Nope, never revealing those. The only negative i had, or my wife. When you pull in, register and go through gate, your turn right and go up a small hill and the veer right and down hill. There is a tree there that if you do not get as far right as you can could play havoc with the top of your rv. Maybe if enough comain they will trim it. We were walking back frompool and a fifth wheel toy hauler was in jeopardy of having their ac ripped off. Had them go to far right and all was ok. But tree should be trimmed. Pool is awesome. Beach is awesome.easy access. Pick your site carefully. Come and enjoy. This our next 5 year destination. read more

My husband and I stayed in one of the park model units at Bryn Mawr this past week. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Pros: - Friendly office staff - Maintenance crew stays on top of trash pick up and property issues - Four beach access gates/ramps - Two pools and hot tub on property - All property facilities (restrooms, showers, laundry room, pools, etc.) were kept very clean - Dog park up front - Dog friendly Cons: - The free wifi did not work the entire time we were there - Guests are "nickel and dimed" for too many things (fee for washing your car, fee for upgraded wifi, fee for visitors, etc.) - While staff was very friendly, they were not exactly helpful - Continuous problems opening the locked gates leading to/from the beach - The main pool was closed on a hot Saturday for maintenance - The sites are VERY small with no elbow room in-between. While the beach and campsites were nice, the management totally failed on addressing issues we had with the neighbors who decided to pull into their lot rather than backing in. That located their door two feet from our picnic table area. I was outside with my 10 lb dog and they had 2 German shepherds that broke loose from them and chased my little dog under our camper. He was terrified and so was I. My dog is 16 and has heart problems. The neighbors continuously walked their dogs through our lot even when we were outside. I notified the office and was told by the lady in the office that the grassy area between campers is a "commons space". So unlike any campground I've camped at in my life, this one will rent you a concrete pad but anyone can use your green space located between yourself and your neighbors. After we addressed our concerns with the office staff the neighbors were even worse. walking right up behind us as we were eating etc. WITH THEIR DOGS. They left theirs dogs behind one day and the whole time we were cooking and eating we listened to their two dogs barking at us. We didn't bother to call the office. We were already told that "they come here all the time" so apparently repeat visitors get a free pass. We have never had such rude and inconsiderate neighbors in 63 years of camping. Go elsewhere. There's a great state park just down the road. read more

NOT an RV Resort!!! I question now what the definition of an RV resort truly means. This place is a glorified RV park with a very expensive nightly rate. We were on the "Oceanside " but we were so far back that it was a bit of a walk to get to the beach. They offer 2 pools, tennis courts, shuffle board, dog park, propane, and access to the beach. Unfortunately, the big pool, tennis courts, and shuffle boards were not available during our stay. Try and arrive before dark because it is a bit confusing to find your very tight site. There are trailers new and old squished inside this place which seems to work for the residents. If you come here, it is my recommendation to stay at an oceanfront site. They seem to be more spacious than the front and middle of the RV park. read more

My husband has been coming here for 30 years, and I have been coming with him for the past 11 years. USE to be a great place. Past 4-5 years it has steadily declined...the roads are completely worn out with pot holes every where and rain puddles that collect. Nothing is maintained anymore. Maintenance is non existent, and night security is gone. The front desk women are ALWAYS rude! They answer the phone and put you on hold for 15 mins, and the when you call back they have an attitude. I'm writing this review after all this time, because tonight was the final straw after all the chances we have given lately. We showed up at 9 pm after driving 11 hrs from North Carolina only to find another camper on our site. No emergency or help number, except for the emergency maintenance number which I called a few times, and shocking no answer. We finally just pulled on one of the few empty sites, after checking the late check in box for other late campers do we didn't take their spot. Not by any means a resort, but rather a beach side trailer park. Do yourself a huge favor and spend your money on ANY OTHER CAMPGROUND IN THE AREA! read more

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very kind. The direct beach access was nice having kids. The whole place was very clean.

We stayed 3 nights in Feb 2023. Nice park, friendly guests and amazing beach access. I was disappointed with one point that really bothered me. We had purchased a $500 Coleman chacuzzi/hot tub MADE for camping. Child proof locks, child proof controls, 200 gallons of water and low power consumption. A whole day after we had set it up we were told to take it down. We got to use it one evening. No reason and it was not covered in the campground rules. I called the front office and they said it was a liability. I complied and took it down immediately. So we had no hottub and decided to visit the pool where there was a community hot tub. I was shocked to see a family in the hot tub dipping and holding their infant with diapers in the water. Hmmm....maybe the Bryn Mawr board should take a closer look at their priorities and guest safety. read more

Spent 3 nights here. We had no problems during our stay & enjoyed the quiet was for how busy it was. However, I think we would pass on staying again. Price was high to me considering there is no actual view of the ocean. Spots are VERY tight, so if you not good at wedging in tour RV & vehicle you might want to consider another place. Maintenance could be much better-roads are all dirt/sand/rock and could use some evening out! Bathrooms were very basic-2 showers, full of sand. However, AC was cool in them so you didn't get hot while getting ready after. Pool was somewhat foggy, but it was a holiday weekend so I'm sure lot of sunscreen on the top. Not impressed but not terrible. read more

We brought our 40 foot diesel pusher and had our Jeep Wrangler behind it. You have to unhook your vehicle from your RV before you proceed into the park because it can be kind of tight. We had an oceanfront spot and I really liked the covered cabana, but the light inside didn't work. I didn't realize they had two pools, but enjoyed the heated pool very much. The bathhouse was very clean and well-kept. Well-stocked with doggy poo bags and didn't see any issues with fellow campers not cleaning up after the dog. I hated to leave. Very beautiful and broad beach, quiet and friendly campground! read more

We gave stayed here for over 12 years. This will be our last! My daughter and her fiancé reserved a park villa. When they went to bed that night, the sheets were dirty and there were dirty wash cloths in the shower. Then they decided to wipe the counters and they were also gross. Things happen. So they spent a couple hours that night and about half the day washing sheets, bed spreads, and towels. At their expense. Still not upset as the office staff have always been very helpful. I went up there to let them know and one very rude lady basically said it was all lies because that lady would never not clean! I reiterated it all again. She was still short and ugly. No "I'm so sorry " or "can we reimburse for laundry' NOTHING! Turned away from me. The nicer lady said she would turn it over to her boss. I'm so disappointed! After being treated like this, we will never stay here or refer anyone else! read more

I stayed at this place over 40 years ago and it has changed. Was in the area and thought we would give it a shot. We would stay again if back in the area. We got lucky and got a spot on the back side close to the beach. Pros: You can stay close on the beach or inside the resort and have a walk to the beach. Either way it is not far. Felt very safe there due to the gate at the front and gate access to the beach. Laundry and restrooms were excellent and very clean. Camp spots all had a deck and table ... great to enjoy your coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoon (for me that started about 10 AM). All spots have full hook-ups with cable TV. - but I was not there to watch TV .. lol. Garbage pick up .. just sat trash at the end of my spot and it was picked up by noon. After dark the entire place has lighting so it was easy to get around after sun set. Cons: Heated pool was wonderful, but hours are from sun up to sun down .. what's with this? been nice to have a drink and relax in the pool in the evenings .. The gates to beach access need to have a little weather strip on them when they close cause they bang when they close .. did not bother me, but if you were right next to them and someone went out while you were sleeping it may wake you up .. They have utilized every inch on this property and pulling a camper in can be a bit tight, very do able, but if your not comfortable with going slow and easy you have been warned .. but most that go here I would say know how to maneuver their rigs. I did not check out the non heated pool and other amenities, but I feel sure they were nice. The price was a bit high, but your getting beach front property .. so you expect this and they have a staff that is busy keeping up the place .. Overall .. Great and plan on staying again and would recommend this to friends .. close enough to town. but you feel like your far away. read more

I was waiting in line this morning to pay for my stay. A frequent customer came into the office, cut everyone in line, and sat a large bottle of vodka on the desk. The office worker gave all of her attention towards him (ignoring everyone else that arrived in the office first). He did not have a reservation and was told he could get one of the sites closest to the beach for a week. I guess this is how you do it at the campground! Very bad..... We have stayed at this campground several times in the past. We love the beach, the pools, and the campsites with covered porches. The sites are close together and can be challenging to get into if you have a large RV. This park needs some updating to accommodate the larger rigs. The owners need to go to Myrtle Beach to see those oceanfront campgrounds. Bryn Mawr could be much better. They need to address the office situation. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

BEWARE! These people are very greedy. In one year, my reservation for three weeks went from $1450, my quoted balance on 8/8/2018, to $2434 on 6/8/2019 to $2450 on 6/15/2019. Explanation: rate increase. Yes, we are paying for their potholes (lots!) and flooded campsites (lots!) and rude office staff. Bryn Mawr itself posts only positive reviews. The staff does not want you to know the negatives. The only thing Bryn Mawr has going for it is the Atlantic Ocean just a few steps away. read more

We just took our first RV trip and spent it at Bryn Mawr. I was a little skeptical with this location from the reviews left. I thought that park was great, it's not the Hilton, but it's not advertised as one. Dog friendly park, even better dog friendly beach! The park was quiet and everyone was very friendly! The office helped us many times as this was our first trip and we are beginners. The only downfall to the park is Sandspurs like crazy!!! Walk your dogs on the beach, a98% of the grass areas are filled with Sandspurs. read more

First time staying here and the location is great! Not too far from everything historical, but far enough up the beach it feels like you have it to yourself. There are two pools and one is an adult only pool for the summer, which is nice for relaxing. There are bathrooms and showers and they are sparkling clean! Will definitely go again! read more

This place is the Ritz of campgrounds for those of us that have decided tent camping is out and want all the luxuries of a resort with the privacy and convenience of your own house. I LOVE this place and we've decided it's our home away from home, close to home place to go. We spend the last 2 weeks at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort and we have to say that the beach is very nice and we enjoyed the pool. But that's where it ended. When we arrived after a 2 1/2 day drive we were informed that the "park model" wasn't ready till 4 o'clock, after waiting for more then 2 hours (it was after 5 o'clock by now) we finally got to the trailer. We didn't even know 4 o'clock was check-in, because we never received any info from the resort,(We reserved by phone). When we got to the trailer it was very disappointing , calling it "run down" would be a understatement. The furniture was in bad shape, the couch and chair were both ripped so bad that the inside of the couch was showing. The sliding door was missing the wheels so it didn't slide at all, and then in the bedroom there was a 6" hole in the wall and the insulation was falling out of the hole!! ,Under the "matrass" from the 70's were at least 4 or 5 carpets rolled up and poking out. we tired to put our cloths away only to find that 75% of the closets was full of junk. In the kitchen we had to wash all the dishes because they were all filthy or broken. The plastic wine glasses were leaked. We ended up having to buy new pots because the pots what were there were too disgusting to use. I did talk to the president from the homeowners association and he offered me a full refund, but at that point what could we do ? It was late at night, we had two dogs with us ,we were exhausted from driving for 2 1/2 days, and had no other place to go. So He said to give him a couple of days and he would work something out. He never got back to us, I stop by the office and he was never there. We tired to just make the best of it, thankfully we did have nice weather . Maybe some of the other trailers there are in better shape, but we were never offered, and we were stuck with this run down shack. I went to the office the day before we left and asked if the president had made any arrangement, and nobody knew anything. I am very disappointed in this resort, I could have stayed in a hotel for far less then the $800 a week they charged us, if only we had made arrangements before hand. read more

I've been going to this place since before I was a teenager. We would pull our pop-up camper there and then "camp" for a week or so. I would surf, go into town and hang in St. Augustine and meet all sorts of "cool" kids and friends. As I got older, my parents would still go and of course I was at that age where "going on vacation with your parents just wasn't cool." As the years went by, my parents continued to pull there now larger camper to Bryn Mawr and occasionally I would even come up and stay with them. We're not dealing with "Disney" here, we're dealing with a sleepy beach resort where you're going to get a decent mix of both "older" residents and people that are a mixture of both people from out of state and locals that want to get away from the city and get a little sun. The original pool is nice but is a touch dated. The new heated pool is outstanding but on the particular weekend that we drove up to stay it was closed. Apparently if the temperature is too cold (it was about 55 degrees on the weekend that we were staying in my Mom's park model) they will shut the pool down. We called and asked why and my wife was told that they have to shut it down if it gets too cold for fear that the pool or even brand new spa will crack. (Or something like that...I thought that was the point of a heated pool, but what the heck do I know? I looked it up online and found nothing of the sort stated.) It's all good. I can understand anyone wanting to protect such a nice new investment. The walk ways to the beach are fantastic and the beach itself is great. I'm not quite sure of the price per night because Mom own's her lot and park model but I remember it being fairly reasonable for a place with tennis courts, two pools, a spa and multiple nice bathroom and shower facilities. The people that work here have always been awesome and I even remember a few of them back from when I was a child which is pretty darn cool. Now if they would only open that new pool a little bit more often, we'd be in business. 4 stars for nostalgia and the kindness of the staff that I've encountered. The pool things was really a stick in my craw but I guess I'll live. read more

This place is right on the beach and a great place to visit when the weather up north is turning chilly. After going to D.C. on business (and some sight-seeing), we headed south to Florida, which is one of the most beautiful states in America and a favorite vaca place for us. Each space is owned by individuals who rent them out, either to Motorhomes or they rent out their mobile homes (just like on Tiny Homes, HGTV!) and you can rent by the day, week or even a month at a time; although, it is EXPENSIVE! But, they have lots of amenities, pools and THE BEACH! So if you are motorhoming it, this is a lot cheaper than renting a beach bungalow, plus you have all your own stuff. We come here after all the bra...er...kids*, are in school so we can have the beach to ourselves. The only other people here, other than the residents of the place, between September and April are snowbirds from up north and that's fun. * I deliberately said it is not good for kids because...well....anyone who has none or whose kids are grown and gone understands my fib. read more

We just checked out after spending 5 nights beachfront. You are on the beach in the sites along the back and we stayed in what we think is the best one in the park. I won't say which one because then everyone would want it and we'd never be able to get it!. The park has 2 pools that we never used, a dog park that we never used, a tennis court that we never used, and a playground that we never used. We did walk one mile south every day to visit family who have a vacation home on the beach, so we hung out there...very convenient. They also have Mobil vacation rentals if you want to get the camping feel without the commitment. Happy Camping, we will return! read more

This place has really changed and not for the better, considering the high cost of Ocean Front Rental we are going to be looking elsewhere ne t year, pot holes everywhere, when it rains it's a muddy mess. Staff is not considerate of guest needs and are rude. read more

This is the best place to go! You can take your camper and rent a site or rent a mobile home. Both are nice. We spent three years in a row going to this place for spring break when our three kids were little. We took our daughter and five of her girl friends there for spring break her senior year in HS. We took the RV and rented a mobile home for the girls to stay in. They had a ball. It is great for young kids and teenagers. It has a nice pool, there are no roads to cross to get to the beach. The resort is secured with pass codes to get to the beach. We are now considering buying a mobile home to spend future harsh winters there. If you are not a snob or want to have a nice vacation of beach and sun with no fancy prices, this is a wonderful place to go. read more

This was our first time here. We stayed here for 5 nights on the beach front. After researching a lot of RV parks in the area this one had the best beach access. Brand new pool and hot tub, and bath house. Everyone was friendly and laid back. We stayed here in our 40 ft fifth wheel, with 2 adults, a 7 yr old and a toddler, and a dog. Dogs are allowed on beach and EVERYONE picks up after them so worries there. We love it here and will be back. read more
