This used to be a really good delivery service but now I can't even recommend it. In the past month 5 out of 6 attempts to order has reached voicemail telling me to call back. Seriously? You want me to call you back so I can place an order? Unfortunately, I know a lot of people without jobs rigthat wouldn't mind taking phone calls as a job if you're short staffed. I'm done and moving to other food delivery services. There are too many that'll answer my call with my first attempt. Update- these people are absolutely horrible. They never answer the phone, managers or owners are NEVER available, this is a company that just needs to close down. I gave them a second chance...my mistake. Avoid and use Grub Hub or one of the other reputable companies and let this one die. read more

DO NOT USE THIS DELIVERY COMPANY. I've been living in Royal Oak for 3 years and used to love using Restaurant Connection for food delivery. The last time I ordered it took almost 2 hours for my food to arrive and I decided to give them one more chance. Never again. I ordered from Sapporo Sushi in Troy. My crispy sushi was mushy, all the rolls were warm, and it took almost 2 hours to arrive without so much of an "I'm sorry for the delay." After eating my meal I called to see what the deal was. The woman on the phone told me that there were obviously a lot of orders ahead of mine and that the timing they provide on the website is not accurate. Ooooook, "can you suggest a better method to receive a more accurate estimate," she replies "no it just depends on how many orders we have and your area is usually busy." WTH? Without question the most clueless person I could have talked to. There are WAY too many options for food delivery to stand for this terrible service. I just wasted over $50 on warm sushi, a really late dinner, and crappy service. Goodbye Restaurant Connection, hello Grubhub, Yelp Deliver, Doordash, Eat24, goodbye Restaurant Connection. Additional update to the terrible service: we got an email from Restaurant Connection saying they called us and told us it was going to be late. NO THEY DID NOT CALL AND THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. Used them today for the first time to order from IHOP. I ordered an omelette w cheese and a side of hash browns. I received something that looked like a nasty breakfast bowl. Eggs were black and hard like hey were pan burnt. I would not feed this to my dog let alone a human. Plus my butter strawberry syrup and silverware for the other order in the bag were covered in syrup. Holy mess all over. I'm wondering if the driver tilted it all over the place playing NASCAR. When I called about the problem I was shocked that the problem was handled as if it was no big deal. I got an account credit. I should have received my money back . I didn't even receive an apology. The ratings from Yelp say it all! I use this company for catering for work. They use to have outstanding customer service but the past year has been awful. Yesterday, I was doing my work expense report and came across a charge for $.35 from restaurant connection. I had not received an email of this charge and had no idea why I was charged so I called. Alissa, the customer rep on phone, had no idea. She then suggested Iook back at past months as sometimes the system will find a billing error and charge card. I told her that her company created the charge and she should find out why as they charged my card. She put me on hold for 25 min and shared that this $.35 charge was from my order in January- somehow system found $.35 discrepancy. Alissa didn't think it was a big deal since it was very little money, but it's principle. You can't just charge credit cards without authorization!!!!!! I asked Alissa to have her manager call me but she shared she would be in until the morning. Think I've heard from her?! No!!!! There are plenty of better companies to use.... caternation, grub hub, door dash..... this company doesn't value customers. read more

Absolutely horrible. RC has cancelled multiple orders 45 min to an hour after I placed them because they don't have any drivers. If you're extremely inadequately staffed then why let anyone place orders in the first place? Would totally recommend if you don't actually want to receive your food. read more

GIVING 1 star just to RATE Delivery time took over 2 hrs and I didn't receive the correct order. This has happened 3 times out of the last 5 times I've ordered. I called back to get the incident resolved & it took a great deal of explaining and a very reluctant staff member even though he admitted to writing down the wrong item so another Representative and thought We'd came to a resolution... I called back the next day to receive my order and I was met by great Scrutiny and anger and I was told I was " Yelling " at the rep. I told the lady that I wasn't and she told me that she didn't have time for this and she was The middle of lunch rush and she hung up on me. Now I don't know how you as a consumer feel What I feel totally messed up I was asking for anything but the order that I paid for to be corrected, nothing more. It wasn't free, I paid for a service and it was not done correctly. That is a legal binding contract in America . I received great stress from this . Ordered for a work lunch meeting we had today. Placed it thru the RC site at 9am, it stated it would be here by 11:45. Perfect. I get a call at 11, stating they are "backed up" and they wont have a driver in the area at the promised time. It will be sometime after 12. I tell the woman that I'm not thrilled with that, since we have a meeting of 8 people that needs to start at a certain time, but I have no choice in the matter. She never apologized. The food showed up at 12:20. The delivery guy John was really nice. Upon opening the entrees, we notice that one persons isn't correct. I call the restaurant and they immediately tell me they will remake it, free of charge, I just need to call RC and have them pick it up. Great, I think, that's an easy fix! Um, no.... I call RC and I'm placed on hold. After listening to elevator music for 5 minutes, the line goes dead. I call back and the same lady from earlier answers. She starts questioning which entrée it was that was wrong. I tell her that I already took care of it with the restaurant, I just need them to pick it up and bring it to us. We were even willing to pay another delivery fee. She places me on hold again, while she checks if there are any drivers available. She comes back, with attitude, and tells me that nope, no one can come out to us "for a while", that if we need the replacement now, we would need to get it ourselves. As many have said before, this service used to be great! Lately, nah so much...I placed my order online at 7:14 and it came back received. The order was supposed to reach me by btw 7:59 and 8:24. I called at 8:24 and was told that the order hadn't been placed yet, but they would be placing it then. The order finally reached me, but was wrong. I ordered 2 combos which included drinks (which were not received so the driver insisted on going to the store for us, then let us know they usually don't even deliver drinks), then when we sat down to eat, My burger (we ordered from Fuddruckers) was very wrong. I hadn't ordered using RC in many months not realizing we hadn't done so for this very reason. Last time we used them, the order was wrong as well. read more

Ordered food, but it didn't arrive. I contacted Restaurant Connection. Driver was finally called out. Food arrived cold, 1 hour late.

Ordered online at 6:55, app says food was picked up at 8:05. At 8:30 we called to ask the whereabouts of our order. (The restaurant is about a half mile from our house) After three phone calls and a variety of excuses our food shows up at 9:55. Just under two hours in a car and they were indignant that we did not want the congealed mess. The kicker is the person on the phone complained that I actually expected them to keep their word and not change stories every time. I've been a regular customer since 2009 both at home and at my offices. In all of that time, I've only had two issues and these were a result of the restaurants themselves, not Restaurant Connection. The deliverers are always very pleasant and because at one point, I was ordering quite frequently, some would even contact me when they were en route to give me ETAs. I will continue to patronize and look forward to new restaurant listings in my delivery area! read more

When RC first opened, we used them more frequently because they were the only type of service like this in our area. But, as time has progressed they have gotten worse and worse. 90% of the time we order our order is wrong or they are missing something OR it is painfully late and by that time COLD and GROSS. Today, it was a bowl of chicken noodle soup that was misssing for my son. Customer service gave us a refund, but fix the problem already. I am not sure who is making the mistake, the restaurant or RC, but this has been going on for years! We're done with RC and moving on to grub hub or even uber. Thanks for nothing. read more

This is the second time that the order we placed never came. It has been over two hours and now no one is answering their phone. 50 dollars later and no food. In the past when the food *does come it is usually wrong and not what I ordered. They are very rude and impolite to people with food allergies or restrictions like being vegan or having a nut allergy. They need a change in their staff. I would never recommend them and I hope whoever reads this goes elsewhere. read more

This used to be an awesome service. Ever since they jacked up the minimum price per restaurant it's been ridiculous. The minimum should never be more than $10 but you have to spend at least $15 if not more on every restaurant, BEFORE tax and delivery. I'm sick of adding stuff to my order that I don't even want just to make up the extra $3. From a customers point of view, that just means I'm paying like $8 to get something delivered to me. I know longer see the point, they are not open at reasonable times like grub hub. The entire menu of restaurants closes and orders must be placed by 915 and 9:45 respectively later on the weekends. However, if you are likely to be disappointed and don't care, then order by all means and support the only reason Grub Hub isn't delivering the food later - pre-existing contracts between vendor and delivery company, all the restaurants are exclusive; it only makes sense. Stay open and make the restaurants as well like grubhub or step aside. read more

I ordered a meal delivered from Applebee's, less than five miles away. Meal promised in 50 minutes. 70 mi items later I get a text saying my ordered was CANCELED. No explanation. When I called, faster lengthy time on hold, was told the restaUraNt doesn't have the food it ordered. Not acceptable! No food, no notice! read more

I placed an order for sushi a week and a half ago. I have called three times to report the fact that there were items missing from my order. I left one voicemail and two messages for a manager to call me back. I have yet to hear back or to have my money refunded. I have used this service for over four years at least 3-4 times a month and will never use them again. There are way too many other options out there for delivery for me to continue to do business with a company that refuses to take care of their customers. Beware before ever ordering from them. EDIT- was responded to only via my Google review, with a message trying to discredit me. Still have not ordered again in over 2 years. Have gladly used DoorDash, grubhub and Uber eats with excellent customer service. I ordered from them several times, tonight I am very disappointed in their service. I ordered from Brass Point. It took over an hour and a half to get my food. By the time the driver arrived the food was ice cold . I called RC three times to check on my order . After the third call all they offered me was half of the delivery fee back. Gave gift certificates to elderly grandparents (not internet savvy), and 2 months later still waiting for new catalogs to be printed and delivered. They obviously opened up a new yelp account because of all the badreviews previously... This place is been an absolute dump cluster for a long time. They give you delays beyond imagine... Think hours on end. I would use Grubhub. It is a very large professional company that knows what they're doing and treat their customers with respect. read more
