They have a really good selection of vegetarian dishes, so much that you won't feel restricted at all. Spice levels are moderate, so if you're a pepper-head, order some sambal on the side. Do order some of the side dishes; I'm especially fond of the bara and the teloh with salt cod and peanut sauce. (As much as I'd hate to group Bloemendaal with Zandvoort) The food is outstanding, especially the rijsttafels, which include a vegetarian one (and Yanie is always willing to make me one with extra peanut sauce items). The best part about Pondok Yanie, in addition to the great food and very relaxing dining area, is the service. I'm not sure I've ever had better service in my life. Even though I only go here once or twice a year when I'm in the country, Yanie always remembers me, knows what foods I like best, and asks about the family, how my life is in the U.S., etc. She also does a great job preparing and wrapping up a big rijsttafel order to go, for if we want to stay in and watch a movie.
