The restaurant is located right on Harder Kulm. The view is just breathtaking. I had the Beef Burger here and it was very good. Yes, it's pretty pricey.
Food 7/10 Service 8/10 Views 100000000 We thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Top of Interlaken, surrounded by gorgeous views, good drinks and decent food. The restaurant offers panoramic views of Lakes Brienz, Thun and Interlaken city. Our server was really nice and friendly which was a welcome change from the other mostly standoffish (bordering rude) service we encountered at other restaurants.
We were not offer a menu and when asked we were told we couldn't have it and that they could tell us what they serve but not a menu. Food apparently is only serve by 11 am We ordered sandwiches and coffee both were just ok. Ambiance was ok, the chairs had stained cushions and the tables are not maintained clean. Definetely they need to improve
The best view you can possibly have in the Interlochen swiss alps by way of Funicular. The beautiful views are between lake Brienz and Lake Thun. This restaurant has a very good menu. Lots of lunch items, cappuccinos smoothies, ice cream , soups, salads... it's all very delicious. Harder Kulm is 4300 ft. We highly recommend that you make your way to harder Kulm ...
Even though it can be pretty chaotic getting to Harder Kulm as an individual traveler battling your groups, it was worth the effort. First, the views are, of course, stunning. And it doesn't matter where you sit on the patio, you can get a great view! Because it wasn't obvious to us, note that it is open seating in the patio, so pick an open table and sit. A server will come to you, and I thought they were relatively prompt. In fact, our server was probably the best one to help us all week: she paid attention to pacing, the cleanliness of the table, and was friendly and good natured. The food was better than I was expecting--maybe since they have a captive audience, I thought it would be sub standard, but it was delicious. I had the scheweineschnitzel and splurged on the caramello ice cream dessert. My dining companion had the alpine macaroni with bacon, which he said was good. We also enjoyed a bottle of cornallin wine, my new favorite that will be impossible to find at home! I also liked the musicians playing traditional music. While there were a lot of people on site, it didn't feel overly crowded in the evening. I'm not sure that it's the same during the day. Worth the visit!
We arrived at sunset so had beautiful views. We weren't expecting great food at this tourist location but it wasn't bad except for the sirloin steak that my daughter said was overcooked and tasted like it had been microwaved. Her salad was yummy; same with my spaghetti bolognese. The star was the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. We may have licked the plate. Ha.
For a tourist destination there was plenty of seating available. We were seated fairly quickly. Food was very mid but I think that might be most or Switzerland. Their burger was slathered in bbq sauce. This is the first time I had fondue in Switzerland. I wish we got more potatoes than bread and I'm not sure fondue is for me haha but it was a good experience. The staff was super nice and the place was clean!
I mean if I can get a cood beer with an amazing lake and Mountain View it's an automatic 4 stars minimum. We scored high top tables outside which are available for walk up. The food was ok. Ordered a burger which was on the dry side. Service was sufficient.
Came here in August, awesome views while you dine, you can see both lake Thun and Brienz. I watched not so good reviews on YT about their cheese fondue , but we tried it anyway. It was decent, great taste, it came with 3 potatoes and bread for about $30. We also ordered some sausage and chicken. The service was quick despite being a tourist spot.
We came here after a very long hike and were absolutely exhausted. The service was a tad slow but it started to rain pretty hard and the servers helped move us somewhere protected. We had the fondue which was good and the view was stunning.
This place is on the top of Interlaken, with the view that you would expect! We were a group of 10 people who were sat almost immediately and had fondue ready for our table within 10 minutes of sitting down! Our waitress was named Anna, she was a bright spot in an already fantastic experience. Couldn't believe how quickly she got everything out to everyone and also had a completely full session. If you go, please ask for Anna! The fondue and the raclette were amazing and it only cost Fr.25 for my friend Brian to have a harder sausage.
It seems a generally accepted truth that people do not travel to Switzerland for the food. If they do - they shouldn't have. Switzerland is known for their cheese, chocolate and ... well, I guess just those two things. That being said, we did enjoy some of the food in Zurich, Lucerne, as well as a few other places. So, to have traveled to the top of this mountain and sat down at this highly recommended (and severely overpriced) restaurant featuring fondue - you would think (and hope) that it was going to be a memorable experience. As you can see in the picture, I got the fondue and the 4 of us all shared it. The cheese was 'ok' at best. To be honest, it did not taste like they made it in that kitchen; but I can't confirm that. The bread, however, was disgusting. The bread tasted like a low-quality, machine-made, mass-produced chemical cocktail that you'd likely find from a grocery store in the United States. For all 4 of us, the experience was a bit disappointing. Now, I would graciously accept such bread if the prices of the restaurant were mid-ranged. But this restaurant's prices made a simple statement: 'this is an establishment of fine dining and we will work hard to present acceptable food.' As you will note in my other posts, I have a strict policy: if you present yourself as a high-quality restaurant, and if your prices reflect that as well - then your food, service, ambience, etc. better coincide with your claim because otherwise the customer feels deceived. This place is misrepresenting itself. In my opinion, this restaurant has only 2 choices: decide to offer higher quality food and learn to bake bread - or lower your prices.

Dining at Harder Kulm is just as much about the scenery as it is the food. The panoramic views over Interlaken and the surrounding lakes are absolutely stunning. The atmosphere was special, especially knowing you're dining at the "Top of Interlaken." The raclette and cheese fondue were paired wonderfully with the potatoes and bread. Service was friendly and efficient, even with the restaurant being busy. I wish our server taught us how to eat the potatoes with the cheese fondue. We realized too late that there were only 2 small pieces of potatoes in the bag, and there were 3 of us. There was a minimum order for us to get a table. The serving was light. It's a bit pricier than a typical meal, but you're paying for quality, tradition, and one of the best views in the region -- so it's worth it. read more

Easy Ride, Great Fondue, And Stunning Views" Harder Kulm was the perfect choice for my wife and I, mountain‑top views without the extreme altitude. The funicular ride up is quick, unfortunately not too scenic, and never feels too high, and at the top the air is cool and comfortable, with no breathless feeling at all. We arrived in september and had very good weather.Amazing sunshine for what we thought would be cold and wet. We ate on the Panorama Restaurant terrace, looking straight down over Interlaken, both lakes, and the tiny homes scattered through the valley. Absolutely breathtaking.I know a lot of people say that, but until you've been there.You can't speak on it. THE GRUB: we ordered the cheese fondue with bread and potatoes serving for one as we don't eat a lot. We also ordered a pizza.I don't remember what it was because I only have pictures , and it was about three months ago. ,and it went down the gullet so fast I probably didn't taste it much. The cheese fondue with bread and potatoes was hot, flavorful, and filling, and the pizza had a crisp crust, melted cheese, and enough toppings to feel like a real meal. Service was friendly and efficient, and we never felt rushed. Bixby we dealt with two step particularly, and they actually seemed interested in where we were from, and what we thought about Switzerland and the restaurant. Harder Kulm gave us exactly what we wanted: an easy‑to‑reach viewpoint where we could breathe(elevation...Hello).,We enjoyed fondue for the first time in any country, and a well built pizza, as well as and soak in one what I would call the best of the best balcony‑style views over Switzerland's lakes and valleys. read more

Most incredible view of interlaken with live music and amazing food. Was one of the highlights of our visit. Only downside is the line for the funicular took over an hour, so build that time into your plan. But the experience was worth the wait. read more

It was my birthday. They had us wait over 45mins for fondue bc they said they had a bigger party. However 3 tables around us got their food (including fondue) and paid and were gone before us. Also the menu said "fondue for 2" but when my Swiss friend questioned the amount of potatoes and chees brought out suddenly the waiter said the "menu was wrong and this was fondue for 1 but he didn't charge us for 2" however the price on our tab was the same as the price on the menu. If not for the view and the live entertainment this would have been a complete dud. The staff was RUDE. The wait was long. The best part was the pre-made desserts. It would have felt rushed if not for the insane wait because once we got our food they couldn't get us gone faster. Recommendation: Go to the top for the view and eat at the snack shop. Skip the fancy restaurant it's not worth the rude staff. read more

The food was good, the service was good too. The lookout over the valley was 5/5. The ambiance was cold. If you really have an abundance of time do it. If not pass on this really long wait. We waited about 65mins to get to the top and about 45mins to get down. If we didn't buy the tickets online we would have left and not done this very very long trip. read more

When you hike up Harder Kulm, there's a restaurant at the top of the mountain. Stunning views of the mountains and town from your table!! My pork dish was nicely seasoned and cooked, and their chocolate lava cake with ice cream just melted in my mouth. Loved the live music inside, service was quick and enjoyable. read more

Great quick service. Food was pretty basic from what you get around Switzerland. It was annoying getting up and down to the restaurant. May have to wait in line for 30 minutes to 1 hour just to get up the mountain. And the same wait time to get down the mountain. No organized seating so if you see a table open up make sure you run to it before someone else read more

Loved coming here! The views are UNREAL, that alone was worth it. We were seated immediately and had amazing service. We ordered the fondue and it was so good. The beer was SOO cold and refreshing. This is a must for sure! read more

One of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to in my life. Sitting at the top of Interlaken, it has some amazing food to compliment a breathtaking view. I would say you should make this place a top priority when visiting Interlaken. Veal Schnitzel was off the charts. read more

If you find yourself in Interlaken Harder Kulm is a must. The view is awesome and I would give the view 5 stars. Switzerland isn't known for their cuisine so we decided to have alcoholic drinks here and fondue. The wine and beer was great! The fondue was not. It tasted like it came from a can, the bread was awful and the potatoes were potatoes. Definitely paying for the view. My recommendation is come for the view and have a drink. Skip the meal it just isn't worth it. read more

Well, this place has a kickass view, so it's got that going for it. Make sure to walk all the way past the restaurant (that's probably why you're around here, anyway) and walk onto the lookout area... it's REALLY AWESOME! On to the food. If you're a hiker, I think it'd be best to grab something from Coop/Migros, and do the whole picnic thing instead of eating here, but to each his own. OR order the chicken sandwich, it was exactly what I was looking for, and for only 7 CHF! BAM! I wanted something light, and I was pretty sure I was gonna get a massive sandwich with chunks of chicken smothered in curry, but alas! It was a few simple slices of chicken lovingly placed on some herb butter, lettuce, tomato, and bread. I could have gotten one for cheaper at Coop, but who cares. Next time, Amanda, next time. My boyfriend ordered the wurst and kaese salad (sausage and cheese salad). Unfortunately it was pretty bad. I thought maybe that the dressing was off, or bad, or something, but he thinks it just tasted crappy. Either way, that whole salad was covered in it, and I did not like it. I took a picture of one of their cherry something cakes... it looks freaking amazing. But I didn't order it. But it still looked great. Try it next time! read more

The service here is amazing. The staff seem to have more fun than most staff elsewhere in Switzerland. They all speak perfect english. But be sure to ask first. They have an English menu as well. The food is good, but the service is better! I had the fish salad. Delicious! read more

Better food around Interlaken but this was a wonderful treat and ambiance when we got to the top. Awesome view, great espresso, and the Alpime Mac was awesome. I would definitely go back to try lunch/dinner if I were ever in the area again. We went for sunday morning brunch and it wasn't too packed. Taking pictures was tough due to crowds and time of the year but there always seems to be a moment where you can sneak in. Thank you Panorama!! read more
The view you get from this restaurant is worth going for. It's over priced but that's how every place is who offers something unique (in their case, it's the view). We Ordered Raclette that came with some potatoes, onions, corns, bread and pickles. It was pretty good. I took off one star because they play a very loud live music which gets unbearable after some time. It's too loud for me to talk, to listen, and to enjoy a meal. Other than that, a must check out place!! read more
