This is a great place, the food is excellent the staff is fantastic and the ambiance is great. They have done an excellent job with the interior, it is really a unique experience. Also I noticed that there is some bad reviews on here, for anyone wondering I think the fact that this place is always busy says otherwise!

I'm giving this place a 4 because of the decor inside and not so much for the food. Just went with a group of 20 ppl for a work party and the service was great. The deep fried dumplings and the shrimp tempura with the spicy mayo are the best. I didn't really enjoy the general Tao though and wouldn't get it again. I also tried a piece of steak which they were selling for 40$ but tasted terrible. Overall nice experience but the menu needs to be changed a bit.

It was a date night that I went to with my girlfriend. As soon as you enter the restaurant the decor is stunning. A greeter took care of us right away. The waiter that took care of our order afterwards was keeping it simple and efficient but nothing extraordinary. My girlfriend took the pad thai and I took the chicken with peanut sauce with fried spinach. Both plates were not as tasty as we would expect if we compare to other asian restaurants we've tried before. The meat of the pad thai plate and the mushrooms of the chickien with peanut sauce plate were cold which was a bit disappointing. The won ton soup was ok but again not as tasty as other Asian restaurants we tried before. I would like to give this restaurant a second try because of the good service and the decor but I find it really pricy (almost 80$ with the tip for 2 people) for plates that are not that tasty compared to cheaper restaurants. We did not try the fish and sea food though.

I paid 28$ for soya sauce pad Thai. It had no flavour and I was deceived because there was no spices.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Asian restaurant that caters to…read moreoffice workers in the area. Only open weekdays. I got the Bento Box and loved the variety. The Long Version: My husband and I came here for a late lunch on a Friday. We had just had a late breakfast on the train ride to Montreal, so my husband wasn't too hungry, but I really wanted to try Atelier Asie and they close at 3pm and aren't open on weekends, and our Montreal visits are mostly only on weekends, so we rarely have the chance to try it. And let's be honest, I can always eat, haha. Anyway, so he just got some appetizers, an order of vegetable spring rolls ($2.99 for 3) and an order of tempura shrimp ($4.99 for 4). I got the General Tao Chicken Bento Box ($13.49) because I love variety. My Bento Box came with General Tao Chicken on a bed of white rice with some cabbage, 2 vegetable spring rolls, 2 chicken dumpling, a salad, a few cubes of fried potatoes and a tiny portion of Japchae. I asked for no sesame seeds and they didn't sprinkle any on the chicken, but the Japchae was premixed with sesame seeds. I noticed this right away, so just gave the Japchae to my husband. The General Tao Chicken was delicious. It was crispy and the meat was lean chicken breast. The sauce was more sweet than tangy and was not spicy, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The rice was good and I liked the accompanying cabbage. The spring rolls were hot and crispy. They were mostly wrapper and the vegetables inside were a bit mushy but they were second fiddle to the chicken anyway, lol. The chicken dumplings were tasty. Lots of ground chicken inside. The fried potato cubes were a bit softer than I expected. I didn't love them, but they were ok. The salad was romaine lettuce and shredded carrots in a soy based dressing. Vegetables were fresh. My husband enjoyed his appetizers. The tempura shrimp were actually more torpedo shrimp. Oh, he also enjoyed the tiny portion of Japchae from my meal since it contained sesame seeds. I like that they have a self-service station with lemon water and tea, both from dispensers. There's seating to dine in with even a second floor, but the second floor was closed during our visit. Food is brought out in takeout containers though. Staff were pleasant. Decor is casual. Overall a great quick service restaurant with solid mainstream Asian food. Street parking only.
