    Ramen

Grilled beef tongue was delicious. However, the ramen was too salty and heavy. The baked oysters were too small, barely could I taste the oyster and it was all cheese. The service was great and ambiance was nice though.

We visited their terrace during a social evening and everything from oysters to tasting bites were being circulated. The location is easy to access and a popular spot so we saw everything from a building evacuation at the apartment block nearby to meeting the Red Arrows (Royal Air Force aerobatic flight team). The location itself is gorgeous, and from their booths to their bathrooms it was like an Instagram backdrop. Every staff member throughout the evening were so friendly and hospitable, it really went a long way. My favourite part was the starters as we were able to share a variety of tastes across our group. The sashimi was fresh and cut to the perfect portion sizes, I'm a sucker for gyozas and the karaage came quickly to the table and retained all of it's best features. I am a big fan of their 3 for $33 special because its a great excuse to share dishes, and their happy hour 3 to 6 at the bar for cheap snacks is likely to bring me back.

New japonese restaurant near 10-30 mall, with affordable prices. At lunch it's 24$ for starter, main dish and a coffee. And my karaage ramen was good but but fries chicken was fat. But the food was a bit bland, and you have to put lots of salt and pepper.

Calamari for an app. A lobster roll for my meal and a drink. The sangria came quick and was good, a little syrupy. The calamari and lobster roll took a while, but maybe they are a bit more relaxed in Canada. No one was available, even for me to waive down, no check ins either. Again, probably customary in Montreal, I don't know the culture that well. The calamari was pretty looking, but it was tough as a well done leather glove. The "lobster roll" had about two pieces of lobster, the rest was small shrimp. The flavor was good, the bun was perfect. But still, for the price, a disappointment. The French fries were delicious but soggy. Maybe that was a spin on Poutine.??? I sat for an hour without being able to get someone. I will not return.

Open kitchen with two chefs and two front of the house staff who were warmly welcomed me and were professional throughout. Had the oysters, clean and crisp with a nice Spanish Cava. Tried the lobster croquetas and the anchovy toast points. Tapas were in point, the anchovies were a tad too salty for me. Ended up ordering the catch of the day, butterflied sea bream. It was the piece de resistance. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the cheek/head was juicy all the way to the tail. The sides were fine, the papas bravas could have been crispier, but fine. Green beans were nicely seasoned. Had half and waved the white flag. Paired it with a tasty Albariño. Great start to quick sojourn in Montreal.

Everyone was very full after all the food. It's hard to pick a favourite dish because they were all so good. The service is very friendly and they take the time to explain the dishes as you get them and are very attentive. Lots of seating too so this place is absolutely ideal for big groups who wanna share food. If you have someone who has allergies or is vegan/vegetarian however, the tasting menu cannot be changed so that is a bummer. IfThey do have some vegetarian options in the sharing menu but not a lot so keep in mind to check with your group prior to picking this place if the sharing menu works for everyone. You can also definitely order the meals yourself and not go for the group menu but I found the group menu great because we got a taste of everything and we didn't have to worry about not having enough.

Luckily, we were in the area last Saturday and decided to drop by for lunch. Best decision ever. It's a byow, first of all. Usually I am not too impressed with byob's because the quality/price ratio tends to be pretty low, however Carambola is one of the few exceptions to the rule. We devoured the braised beef Poutine with aged cheddar and the spicy fried chicken burger. The perfectly crispy hot chicken was served in a soft homemade pretzel bun. The Poutine was just out of this world. Everything was tasty, delicious and balanced. Verdict: it's really worth the trip! Can't wait to come back to try the dinner menu.

The service staff were very pleasant and the young owner Ryan came over and explained where each ingredient was from and how the sauces were made. I have since been back multiple times to try the seasonal menu changes and I am continually impressed by each dish that comes out of the kitchen. I like to sit by the bar overlooking the kitchen and the chef/owner Reid is very entertaining. He actually walked me through his thought process on creating the dishes and the protein/vegetable/sauce combinations. My new favorite spot in Hudson to take friends and business clients. Would highly recommend it.

Our server told us there were so many people that day that their small town grew to over 10,000 more people that day! That all said, you're here to see if the food is good. The food was alright. I feel like on the busiest day they've probably ever had it's not fair to judge the quality when they didn't expect so many people so I'm sure it's probably better when it's not super busy, but it was just okay, as some tapas were definitely better than others. Everything is meant to be shared, so make sure everyone at the table more/less agrees on the menu. Overall, a good experience. I will say though, the lava cake was SUPERB!

The cheese they used didn't really tasted like gruyere. Mixed reviews for the different dishes we ordered. Prices were really expensive for what it was. The risotto was the star of the night, so I guess this ekes out a 4/5 for me because of that.
