I came here for a 4 course fixed menu meal as part of the Sound of Vienna, Strauss and Mozart Concert at the Kursalon Wien across the street.
The dinner was not bad, but not remarkable either. The four courses were a starter, a soup, mains, then dessert. The waiters were very nice and spoke fluent English. All the dishes we well plated and very nicely presented. I particularly liked the celery soup. This review is mainly based on my impression of the main dish, for which I had the haunch of beef. Lots of textures and varied flavors on that plate: gummy potato ball, crunchy caramelized flour, and crunchy raw daikon root, but the beef itself was very bland and dry. Everything about the restaurant was nice, but it's hard to rate it higher when I did not appreciate the main dish. read more
