The pork schnitzel was almost the size of the platter, was well seasoned, and tender with crunchy coating. The French fries were good too. The cordon bleu looked like a schnitzel. The ham and cheese didn't quite make it to the edges. Roasted potatoes were additional. Seems family ran, less than hotel restaurant prices, and convenient.

Our first course was a beef broth soup with one very large dumpling. Rich-tasty and delicious. Our main meal consisted of Schnitzel with potato salad. Very unfortunate for a Michelin mentioned restaurant. The ox spitz has the crispy bread crumbs on top with soft meat on top a bed of veggies. Highly recommend. Vienna Schnitzel is ok but the schnitzel one is better. Service is good. The house did bring out the cucumber cold soup to clear the palate and the cold chocolate to end the meal on the house. We ordered: * One glass of Rosé vom Cobenzl * Two Gösser house beers * One Cola Zero * Tomato soup and vegetable cream soup (both excellent) * Five Original Wiener Schnitzel (one with potato salad & cranberry sauce, the others with parsley potatoes & cranberry) * One warm chocolate dessert The Schnitzel was large, perfectly crispy, and served the traditional way with lemon. The side potatoes and potato salad were delicious, and the soups were flavorful and well seasoned. The dessert was outstanding rich and balanced chocolate, creamy vanilla ice cream, and an incredible mix of fresh fruit on the side. Perfect ending to the meal. We saw one woman eating there until she attracted a bee and asked to be relocated inside. Our server showed up just after 11 a.m. and took our drink orders. Two of us had the soup and salad combo, which was good. I think my soup was tomato. The salad was fresh. The 3rd member of our group got pasta, which she liked also. Prices were in line with the area. I enjoyed our meal here and would return if I were in the area again.

Every booth is a mini shrine to celebrity guests; ours was lined with plaques from dignitaries and ambassadors galore -- a conversation starter for sure. While the setting is memorable, the food could use more attention. We tried the asparagus two ways (steamed and fried), asparagus with salmon, and asparagus risotto. The white asparagus itself was well-prepared, but the accompanying dishes fell short. The risotto was overly soft and lacked any discernible grains, the salmon was dry, and overall, the sides didn't match the quality of the star ingredient. Prices are high, though arguably fitting for the ambiance and service. In short: a fun and unique night out with lots of flair, but I'd love to see the kitchen step up to match the setting.

My friend got the goose dumplings and likewise thought they were exceptional. They were beautifully plated, and the meat was very tender. We finished off with some delicious apple strudel. Our waiter spoke enough English to get by with us, and they had an English menu available.
