Such a beautiful spot for dinner the setting right by the water is truly special. It was a little tricky to find the entrance but absolutely worth the effort. We booked almost a month in advance and were glad we did. The atmosphere is calm and romantic, with stunning waterfront views. We went for a 7 PM reservation, which was perfect for catching the sunset highly recommend! Just a heads-up, it gets chilly once the sun goes down, so bring a sweater. The staff were warm and welcoming, and although service was on the slower side, their kindness made it easy to overlook. We tried a variety of dishes, everything was delicious, but the teriyaki salmon and octopus were the winners, both 10/10. We also had the sangria, but found it a little too sweet for our taste more like juice. Still, the overall experience was memorable. This place is right next door to the viral Ponto Final. I honestly don't know why that one is more popular but this one has a much better view and a way shorter wait. Save yourself the trouble of standing in line at Ponto Final for hours and go to this place instead, if you don't have a res. You can get a drink and hang out at their little outdoor waiting area overlooking the water. The food was average but it was truly the most beautiful location for dinner. The only thing to note is that you have to take an elevator from the top of the hill, which gets locked in the evening so you can't take it back up if you're going for dinner. If you walk straight past it there's an alleyway you can go through, which is where your Uber will pick you up. It's pretty shady but we lived. read more

Great spot to see the sunset over lisbon, but the food wasn't great and the service was very slow. Felt very ripped off for what you were paying for and it seemed like the best place to eat after your boat journey over from the city centre. This restaurant is a trek from downtown Lisbon, but it is so, so worth it. Amazing, fresh food with a stunning view of the city. Take the ferry from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas, then walk alongside the abandoned riverside warehouses for about 7-10 min until you find this restaurant, where a few tables and chairs are set along the water's edge. Although the map here is misleading (the restaurant is located R. do Ginjal 69 in Almada, about 7-10 walking minutes from the ferry station), I have found my way to this nice place. Overlooking the river, the waterfront of the city of Lisbon, its a great place for having a sun-downer followed by some great food. We went with a pretty large group and had some delicious salads (some with octopus and interesting mix of fruits) as well as salmon and pork. We just finished the most amazing lunch. After starting with bread and goat cheese. Because we were driving, we had wine by the glass and it was very good. My husband had the goat. It came with boiled potatoes and spinach. I had the tuna steak that also came with potatoes and a small salad. I don't know what was done to any of it, but it was perfection. Be sure to book a table well in advance! We called at lunch time on an April Tuesday to see about a dinner reservation that night, and they were fully booked for the night. However, it's worth asking in that case if they have any tables available inside. Inside is less popular but if you get the table at the window it's almost as nice as the terrace. Definitely try to do dinner around sunset for some really stunning views of the river and Lisbon. We took a chance and took the ferry over anyways for a relatively early dinner, and figured we could try Ponte Final next door as well (they hadn't been answering their phone). Well, Ponte Final was closed, possibly due to it being the week before Easter (I guess that's Holy Week in Europe?). However, we lucked out and got a table here inside by the window. I was quite happy with the food for the most part, but it was a little uneven and the service was a little haphazard though not terrible for Europe. The marinated lemony sardines were delicious, and I quite liked the octopus salad as well (although my sister-in-law had thought it would be more like ceviche). My husband's carrot/ginger/orange soup tasted like all of those things, but it needed a little salt and I would have liked a bit of heat or spice. The goat cheese salad is more cheese than salad, very generous and the cheese was delicious. I got a black linguine with prawns, hoping to enjoy one last meal of Lisbon's amazing seafood, and I was very disappointed that the prawns weren't great. They were served head-on and looked very good, but the flavor and texture were off. They were a little overcooked, but also possibly had been frozen? I ate a few and plenty of the pasta, which was itself very tasty. We had a mishap with the vino verde, which still hadn't arrived after an age and when we asked it turned out that it wasn't yet cold enough to be served. We picked another bottle suggested by the server, which was also not that cold at first so we left it hang out in the ice bucket. The food was generally good and it was extremely well-presented. I'd recommend coming here on your last night in Lisbon to enjoy a relaxing meal on the patio. The ferry only costs about 1 Euro! Don't by deterred by the murdery-looking sketchy path along the water, you'll be fine. read more

The reason why I only give 3 stars is that the service was awful. Fantastic restaurant. We went across on the ferry and walked along to it for lunch. It is a superb setting, and sitting out in the late September sunshine was delightful. There are fantastic views to the west down The Tagus and North and East across to the centre of Lisbon and upriver, with lots of boat traffic, people and birds to watch. The prawns on black linguine were to die for, and the wine (Vinha dos Santos white) excellent. Service was relaxed (= not fast) but efficient. If the weather is good I can't recommend it too highly. If the weather is bad you can sit inside but would lose a lots off the splendid views and the pleasure of dining al fresco. We'll definitely go back if we go to Lisbon again. read more

The best restaurant memory from my 2 weeks holiday in Italy and Portugal. We wanted to go to the restaurant next door but went to this one because it was closed. Thanks faith, I'm sure you made the right decision. This place is a real gem: right in front of Lisboa and the bridge, you get to see the perfect sunset if you arrive at the right time. To get there, you just have to turn right when you get off the boat from Cais Do Sodre and walk for 5 minutes. For 70€, we got 2 salads - entrées - desserts and a bottle of wine.
