This place was one or two exceptions that we had kick ass service food and atmosphere at the same time. It was a damn good experience we had for dinner here. The staff were SUPER friendly, welcoming and funny as you can see in one of my videos. I was having liquid diet myself that night so I didn't eat much but I did have a bowl of their fantastic tortilla soup. That was probably the most flavorful tortilla soup I ever had and what better place to have it than Mexico. The service was phenomenal. This would be a restaurant I would hit up again if we ever go back to Moon Palace.

Abraham entertained both the young and old at our table. Answered all our questions honestly and thoroughly, and delivered the fresh tortillas and amazing food efficiently and with a smile. Can't wait to return!

    Relano Quesadilla. Yum!

We ate here last night and it never disappoints! The Mayan coffee was a highlight too. Our service was amazing and three people took absolutely fantastic care of us--anticipating everything we might want or need! Finally, the homemade tortillas and watching the woman make them right there in front of us was extraordinary.

Delicious breakfast tacos and banana and Nutella crapes. Nice relaxing place to have breakfast.

We thought this place was delicious. Outside of the main resort and you need a ride to get there - it was a little adventure right off the resort and we loved it. Handmade tortillas by a sweet lady. Sweet, serene atmosphere for lunch. Quiet with lots and lots of awesome options. We tried some veggie and meat dishes and everything was pretty tasty. The drinks we had were top notch as well. If you are coming from the spa everything is super nourishing and light on the menu as well.

Just say yes to Moon Palace and this wonderful restaurant with Mayan influenced cuisine. Let's put it this way, we at there 2 days in a row and they have a woman in the restaurant who's only job is to make from scratch tortillas that come to the table fresh & warm. From the Conchinita Pibil, slow cooked Yucatán style shredded pork, Sour lime soup, homemade tortilla chips to the pork belly taco everything was delicious. Add in great/friendly service & a tamarind margarita and you have a fiesta.

I am not sure if I liked this place or not. So I don't think I will write much. But the staff is nice. Restroom is located in the adjacent Italian restaurant. I do know I won't be coming back. It's just not my taste of food.

Super disappointed we spent the time commuting to this restaurant to receive such poor service. Many tables were open.so I'm.not sure why it took so long for everything. We were not.offered drink menus, had to ask, were not offered any recommendations and once we ordered it was another 40 minutes to receive food. Other tables got up and left before receiving their meals or desserts. We found out the next day the same food offerings were on the buffet in the Nizuc dining area. Wish we would have known this in advance

So this place looks like they have agreement with Moon Palace in Cancun and anyone reserving dinner through them have some kind of biased menu and / or limited service offering. Firstly limited to no veg options and the guy's behavior seating a group of 8 and taking menu order was first signal towards bad service. Hoped food would be great with authentic Mexican cuisine- well disappointing. After seating, we asked if they could get some guac and chips to go along their cocktails, the guy rudely responded something like - "not every part of Mexico guac is served" or "we don't call it guacamole" and started to enlighten about Mexico. That was a odd moment as we all wanted to try some authentic avocados (which appeared to rare dish at many places)..perhaps like in the Netflix show "avacados" are like gold in MX. The decor and location (inside a lush golf course with an adjoining Italian restaurant too) was awesome and had nice handmade tortilla baskets on the wall. A tortilla lady in one corner making fresh hand rolled small sized tortilla was impressive and a guy playing some live music who disappeared after some time though. It was the food..that didn't make the cut. Now I am not sure if their standard menu offering may be good. It was a 3 course dinner, soup/salad (we all opted soup- blah), chicken ad fish dishes, no veg options). And they didn't offer dessert menu until we had to ask for one as we had teens who were eager for some dessert to fill up instead.

Set on the golf course at Sunrise Moon Palace, the Riviera Maya restaurant is a nice change from the normal Mayan/Mexican restaurant. Unique in it's offered menu choices, the food is delicious. This well hidden gem is not frequented by many guests since it is on the golf course away from the main resorts. Well worth the short ride over though. We shared the crepes for breakfast and oh my were they a gastric treat! The breakfast tacos were filled with plenty of egg and chicken, topped with pickled onion and verde sauce. The flavor was delightful. The omelet was special ordered and exactly as requested, almost too filling! The guacamole is some of the best we have ever had, fresh and chunky. For lunch we had the lime soup, which was so tasty, I could have eaten a whole pot of it, the flavor is so good. Mama's beefsteak was tender and so tasty, a serving large enough for two people. We will order this again. The chicken negro with egg was also very good, the meat tender, the sauce an interesting addition and the egg was prepared with a mix of vegetables. Definitely visit Riviera Maya for lunch or breakfast when at Sunrise moon Palace.

Second time here at this restaurant. I have to say it's by far the best tasting food you'll ever have! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're having the best experience possible.

Superb Mayan food with authentic Mayan flavor and fresh ingredients. Service is great. Best if all tortilla is made fresh on site. Wonderful place for lunch and dinner.

    We felt so special :-)

With it being a buffet, you're able to get an assortment of options during your meal. Along with the different dishes, I always enjoy the fresh juices at the drink bar as well as the pre-made or build your own yogurt parfaits. The dessert during uncharted and dinner are always a great addition to your meal. Also, what's nice is the different dishes from around the world that are on the menu.

Service here is consistently attentive. Even when it's busy, it's not hard to get your servers' attention. But during peak season, that might be a different story. We've only eaten meals here a couple of times during our stay at the resort; First night, and last day. We also came here several times just to grab some light bites and fruit in between meals. Food selection rotates, and die the most part, not spectacular. Just goood enough to get you full. But their dessert selection is worthy of a fancy pastry shop. You can order alcoholic or espresso based drinks from your server, or self serve juices. One thing to note, it seems they have a shortage of spoons. Eva use spoons are never placed on the tables with other utensils. And when we ask for know, often times were handed the wrong size: like a huge soup spoon for a small dessert cup, or a teaspoon for a bowl of soup. Bugambillia is conveniently located in the lobby area, right next to the main Lobby Bar. It's a great place to grab some quick bites and go about your day.

The tacos were spot on, very delicious. What do you expect when you're in Mexico?? I ordered the hanger steak and asked for medium rare. When it came, it was the skinniest piece of steak I've ever seen, maybe like 1cm thin! I was for sure thinking it was overcooked... To my surprise, it was rare and undercooked. I kindly asked them to recook it and I asked for medium instead. They brought me another one and it was better. Other than that mishap, my family enjoyed our time there. The desserts were all very good too. My favorites were the corn pound cake and the churros which came in a cute stand with both a chocolate and caramel dipping sauce. The Tres Leches was pretty good too but I've had better elsewhere. We came on a Wednesday night and there was the mariachi band playing. I believe they perform every Wednesday night and they would walk over to each table and perform a different song. They were pretty loud and it lasted for most of the dinner, so if you are not fond a loud music then I wouldn't recommend coming during a time that they are performing. I wasn't a fan of the loud music in my ears... So next time I would go on a day they're not there.
