She was very patient and kind. Fast forward to the extraction..... I requested an ephinephrine free medication because I am allergic. Doctor injected me and left for more than 20 mins, mind you because the anesthesia lacked epinephrine which is the component that makes the numbing last longer it wore off pretty fast. She had to inject me again and again...Okay, lets get to the tooth being pulled, one word, TRAUMA!!! She said you will feel pressure, all I felt was pain and I alerted her to the fact that I was in pain, she said it was pressure and there was nothing she could do. Okay now we get to the meat and potatoes, she isnt able to fully extract my tooth because it was on bad behavior and as a bonus a piece of her tool broke off and was stuck in with the root... So now she has her assistant call an oral surgeon because she was sure that what she couldnt remove he could... This whole time the pain is excruciating. The oral surgeons office was 20 mins from hers so I drove, blinded by the pain of the trauma done to my mouth. Now, lets compare. I get to the oral surgeon, office, beautiful, staff, attentive on another level, process pain free, the surgeon, top tier, he numbed me with no issue, he extracted the remaining root of the tooth along with the piece of a gift Dr Wolfson left in my mouth, he said you may feel pressure I felt nothinggggg, he stitched me up no pain. From the moment he injected me till I walked out pain free stress free experience.... So listen, Im not saying Dr Wolfson isnt good, maybe she is, that was not my experience.... and the bedside manner needs to be worked on as well, maybe she was having a rough day today. BUT... im now traumatized once again of the dentists office.... The oral surgeon was much more pleasant.

The receptionist here is sweet and patient - she took the time to explain my insurance to me twice, and was careful to make sure I was covered. It was easy to make the appointment. The location doesn't come up correctly - it's besides a Popeyes in a strip mall with a banner for a sign. The lobby is clean and new, though you can hear all the dental machinery from your seat. I went in for a cleaning and for an old crown to get re-cemented. The dentist hardly spoke to me, but the other three people who worked on my teeth were all kind, gentle on my teeth, and seemed to know their jobs well. What left a metaphorical bad taste in my mouth is my bill - three different receipts were printed because none of them had accurate work listed. I left paying $105 on a bill that still doesn't make sense to me. I'm just hoping I don't get a bill later in the mail that I can't defend myself against. Also, no one asked about or suggested x-rays though I haven't had them in over a year. Is that normal? Overall: all staff aside from the dentist are friendly and sweet; you have to know exactly what you need and advocate for yourself here; I would return for a cleaning, but not for any work involving a drill or assessment of something I couldn't self-diagnose.

I saw two other dentists and was told that my tooth was fractured and needed to be extracted. I came to this office during their annual free extraction event expecting to lose the tooth. Dr. Andersen took the time to thoroughly evaluate the situation and wasn't convinced that extraction was the right answer. She determined that the "lesion" was actually a piece of bone protruding through the gum and removed it. Almost immediately, the pain that had been bothering me for weeks was gone. I am incredibly grateful not only because she found the real problem, but because she saved my tooth. Her knowledge, patience, and willingness to look deeper instead of rushing to remove the tooth made all the difference. Thank you, Dr. Andersen, for your exceptional care. I truly can't thank you enough.

I reluctantly agreed, and then on that second visit a different dentist demanded I undergo extensive imaging unrelated to the crown in question. If you want to make your own dental choices, this is not the practice for you.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of having an horrendous customer service experience with Chen &…read moreAssociates and particularly with Chennel Walters their Insurance Coordinator. I had an appointment scheduled for February 6th at 2025 at 8:20 in the morning. I woke up at 7:20am to find a text from Chen and Associates informing me that my appointment would need to be cancelled due to inclement weather causing icing. There was no serious storm just light rain in the forecast and it had been warm and mild the whole week. However, I did not think much of it and happily rescheduled for the following Monday. Unfortunately I developed an ear infection on Sunday and needed to make a urgent care visit for Monday morning. I informed Chen and Associates on Sunday at 4:00pm that I would need to cancel, significantly more notice then they gave me for my prior appointment, which they confirmed. On Thursday morning of that week I received a $50 dollar charge for a missed appointment. I was not pleased about this charge and demanded it be removed and inquired why there was no policy for a $50 credit for patients if Chen and Associates needs to cancel as that would only seem fair. They removed the charge and apologized which I would have been happy to leave it at. However Chennel Walters decided it was their mission to justify charging clients for missed appointments and not having a credit if Chen and Associates cancels. They eloquently, explained that the office had to control for "thoughtless" , they never asked me why I was canceling, cancellations from patients and that Chen and Associates would only cancel for a real reason like inclement weather which she likened to a medical emergency. She also explained that they would never try to overcharge "loyal" clients. I pointed out that the weather that day was not particularly inclement and their reason for cancelling may have also been thoughtless saying: "The inclement weather? It didn't even get below freezing temps at any point below Thursday morning and it was above freezing several hours before my appointment. In fact I'm fairly certain it was raining which Additionally it had been gorgeous all week leading up to the day. But I didn't see the need to assume the worst, I suggest the doctor do the same for people who need to "thoughtlessly" cancel appointments." Obviously left a sentence incomplete, I was at work while trying to respond to Chennel Walters lovely correspondence and made a mistake. However, I think anyone reading this could see that I was pointing out that the weather conditions made improbable justifying a cancellation on their end unlikely. Chennel snarkily informed me she couldn't respond to my statement because it was incomplete before then responding to the statement she said she couldn't respond to by saying that I didn't know the weather where all their staff lived. It was above freezing through the entire state on February 6th and had been in the high to mid 40s the entire week leading up to the appointment. Needless to say I will no longer be a patient at Chen and Associates despite being a "loyal" patient prior. I would highly recommend they use this as a learning moment for Chennel and reconsider if they are the kind of person who should be interacting with clients.

I never received a bill, statement, or any communication regarding an outstanding balance. Recently, I was contacted times by a collection agency demanding payment for a significant amount. When I attempted to contact the office directly to understand the charges and resolve the matter -- including offering to promptly pay any legitimate balance -- I was unable to speak with a manager or anyone willing to review the situation. Instead, I was repeatedly redirected back to the collection agency. Sending an account to collections without prior notice and then refusing to communicate directly with a former patient reflects very poor business practices. I had previously thought highly of this office (even despite a few minor complaints), which makes this experience even more disappointing and infuriating. I strongly encourage prospective and even current patients to ensure they understand this office's billing and communication policies and adherence of, before seeking or resuming treatment here.

I have routinely had difficulty getting specific details out of dr. cho and his staff about procedures, and even basic scheduling. I have been coming to this office for over a year and it has become much worse as time has gone on. Recently, I called in with an urgent need after a filling (done by dr. cho) failed within a month of getting it. This left my tooth exposed and painful, which I communicated to the scheduling staff. After communicating this, I was given options (which were poorly explained) and we agreed on getting a pre-authorization from my insurance which I expected would not take much time. After waiting 24 hours to hear a response, I called the office back. When I asked about the status of the pre-auth, the scheduler laughed and told me the pre-auth would take two weeks to come back. I was also told that I would not be able to get the work scheduled for at least that much time as the dentist was going on vacation the next day. I'm not sure what was unclear about "I am in pain, and I need to have this fixed as soon as possible" but I did not get the impression that this office is concerned with urgency in any way shape or form. If you are in pain, or you think you might be in pain and need work done quickly and reliably, Dentalworks is not a good bet for you. Best to find another office that will actually follow-up, communicate with you on even the most basic level, and treat you as if your oral health is actually important to them.
