He's such a gentle soul and tolerated our loud laughs while driving us to and from the winery. Even though it was pouring on the day of our trip, Dan made sure to offer us a large umbrella and assisted us in getting into a van. He drove carefully and gave us a heads-up on sharp turns and hills. The vehicle was spacious enough to accommodate 8 of us, clean, and comfortable. Communication was clear with the pickup time and location set a week in advance. It was such a memorable experience. The people are fine the drivers are friendly that's the only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars instead of one. There's always something wrong with the buses. Either it's broken WiFi, broken bathrooms, dirty floors, breaking down, or catching on fire. As I write this my group is dealing with a blown tire on one of the buses trying to come back from a trip. At minimum 1/3rd of all trips have had some failure that has resulted in severe delays and a bus being taken down. I wish they were isolated but over four years it's a trend. Edit on the course of this trip another bus died on the side of the road. Updating review to one star.

I happened on Dulles Coach Services when they were advertising the DC-New York trip and was relieved to have found a car service that could actually take us to NY on our schedule (and was actually less expensive than taking the train if you're paying for two tickets). Joe was immediately responsive when I first contacted him, and answered all my questions promptly. He was communicative throughout the time I was considering booking the service and offered to do a round-trip on a weekday, since we were only going to be there for a couple of hours at most. He confirmed the night before and texted me when he arrived at our place. He arrived promptly on the day of our trip, and the car was very clean with a sleek, spotless interior. There were a couple of bottles of water and it was clear that the car was kept clean, a relief as my wife is very prone to illness. He kept the car nicely air-conditioned the whole trip, and was very personable. The trip was smooth and even, and we got to New York early even though we hit traffic once we got to Manhattan. The car is very quiet and Joe is a very safe and smooth driver. Joe dropped us off and told us to call or text him when we were done, and he would pick us up. We were done earlier than expected, but Joe left straightaway to pick us up. The ride home was also smooth and quicker than I expected. Overall, the trip went much better than I thought a drive to NY could be. We are definitely going to use them again any time we need to go to NY, and I imagine the service would be just as excellent for shorter trips, like airport drop-offs and pick-ups and anything else. The trip to NY in Joe's sedan is much, much better than any train trip or plane ride to NY I've ever taken, much more comfortable and much cleaner. Joe is very professional, kind, and the business is run very professionally. We were told that Reston would reach out the week before the wedding, but we had heard absolutely nothing by noon the day before the wedding. My husband attempted to call Reston to confirm our reservation. We called more than 10 times, yet we couldn't get a hold of them. So he drove to their listed HQ from their website to confirm in person. When he arrived, he found out the HQ did NOT exist. He called again, and someone finally picked up the phone and gave him attitude for being restless. The woman promised to share the phone numbers for the drivers ASAP. We did not get them until late that night (and one of the numbers was incorrect). To make matters worse, three hours before we got married, we received multiple emails and phone calls demanding payment from Reston. This is despite the fact my husband sent in a credit card authorization form (which was acknowledged by the company months ago). So we're about to get married, and this company is shaking us down for payment which my husband authorized four months ago. To cap it all off, i could not get a hold of my limo driver. So my husband reached out to his point of contact, and she told him that drivers will not respond until an hour before reservation. That is fine; we just wish they had told us that before the day we were getting married. Everything worked out fine in the end, but AVOID this company at all costs. It is not worth the stress.
