I left the experience feeling the consultation fee had not been clearly or accurately disclosed in advance. The office itself also raised concerns. There was no secretary or front-desk staff, and the space is shared with a beauty salon, chiropractic office, and other services. All communication was handled directly by the doctor. The lack of transparent pricing has left me with no choice but to file a claim in small claims court to resolve the matter.

I decided to find someone closer to my home and canceled my appointment after the second time they rescheduled. It was a blessing in disguise. Not only was I able to get a sooner appointment closer to home, that wasn't rescheduled, but I also was given clear directions, thankfully. I was told to make sure I had someone drive me home, which was accurate as I wasn't able to drive for at least 2 days after the treatment and was told to stay off my feet for at least 2 days after the treatment. Not only did Allied keep my money, but they are also pocketing money from Anthem, which has been deemed fraudulent by Anthem and they are now engaging in an investigation into Allied. Save yourself the emotional turmoil and run arounds, and just go elsewhere. Hard lesson learned on my part. EDIT: Anthem/Blue Cross' Grievances Department just mailed the attached letter on January 10, 2025 stating that I am due a refund of $3,793.67 and my financial responsibility is $.63 cents. They had decades of he;ping post operative patients and clearly knew their stuff. They offered 24-hour care which was incredibly reassuring. I signed up for 1 w4-hour shift and quickly added a second. While we could have managed the medication management and help around the house, it's SO much nicer having someone else do it. All I had to do was focus on recovering and healing. And even with the limited time she gave my mother, she would talk over her and ignore her concerns. She even angrily opened up the appointment by asking my mother "why [she] was even here."
