I treated myself to a pedicure and the restorative sleep massage. Peyton showed me to the women's locker room, where we discovered my name was not on any of the lockers. However, that turned out to be a God thing. I changed into a robe and slippers, excited for my experience to begin! A little note for my fellow plus size friends: don't worry, they have robes up to a 4X, which I really appreciated. They also have a beautiful, quiet relaxation room where you can unwind before and after your services. Peyton offered me a complimentary drink and gave me some option. I asked her if they had any non-alcoholic "fancy" drinks. She said they did a prepared a beautiful, refreshing drink and put it in the quiet room for me to enjoy. Milah did my pedicure, and we made a genuine connection while we talked. She did an excellent job refreshing my feet, and I loved that she began the service with aromatherapy. It was such a relaxing touch. She's got many years of experience and I highly recommend her!! Next was my restorative sleep massage with Quanette. Before she began, she took the time to ask about any problem areas and anything she should be mindful of. The massage room was peaceful, beautifully designed, and filled with soft, calming sounds. The massage itself was incredible, everything I hoped it would be and more. When I was ready to leave a huge downpour came, leaving me in the lobby to wait it out. One of the ladies offered me a poncho! Such an unexpected convenience. I will absolutely be back when I'm able to. At checkout, I was charged a mandatory 22% "service charge" on top of tip, despite being told previously everything was comped. The service charge I was told doesn't go to the therapists but "covers the facilities." (There was not so much as a sauna in terms of facilities.) The front desk insisted the charge still applied, even though it was never disclosed in the Groupon terms and I had proof that it had been levied in appointment one. The manager who handled my situation was unavailable. I finally just paid it and left, but won't be returning.
