The jumping chollas drop pieces constantly, but Blas's team stays on top of it--carefully clearing debris, weeding thoroughly, and making sure the landscape always looks well maintained and polished. Note: This review is for the professionalism I experienced and not for any workmanship. I had high hopes two weeks ago after spending 45 minutes with Blas reviewing my backyard to ensure we were on the same page with my vision but Blas never came back to me with an estimate. I even supplied him with a design, measurements and pavers to use to help with the process. Blas said he would get back to me that evening which was surprising but was nice to hear. Instead, I followed up with him the following evening but he said he had to abruptly leave town but reassured me he would get back to me the following Monday. I followed up one last time that Monday afternoon and he never bothered to respond back to my text. Again, this was two weeks ago. I had every intention of giving him a chance for my business as I am committed to getting this done. I don't understand why a contractor would bother making a visit, spending 45 minutes with you only to not follow through. To me, it's a waste of time for everyone involved. A simple, "this is a job not for me" after the initial visit or follow up would have been acceptable. Respect and professionalism matter. read more

Blas and his team did a great job on our yard. Initial meeting: Blas was on time, professional, and listened to what we wanted. He didn't try to add on extras to get us to spend more. We knew what we wanted and he gave us a quote. We felt he was honest and trustworthy. Process for approval: We waited quite some time to get the drawings from Blas to submit for approval to HOA. However, it wasn't a big rush considering we had to wait on supplies to arrive. Had all the supplies been readily available, then we would have expected the drawings faster. The HOA kicked back the proposal due to not having specific items on the drawings. It wasn't Blas's fault for that because each HOA requires different things on the drawings. We didn't have the guidelines to give to Blas, so we were shooting in the dark with the first proposal. When I gave Blas the list of what needed to be added on the drawing, he worked on it and returned it in a week. Scheduling: Once we were approved, we had to wait a little more because they were already working on a project. This was our first go round for landscaping a new yard, so we didn't realize the amount of time needed for scheduling. They couldn't come out "tomorrow". It has to be scheduled due to other projects. Go time: They started at a reasonable time and didn't wake us up from loud noises. The team blew down the dust left on the street to keep our street clean. The days I didn't see them blow down the street, there wasn't dust left. So they did it when they knew they left dust behind. They deliver high quality work with great attention to detail. They landscaped about 7k sq ft of space. There were two slightly broken pavers. That's it. Nothing else to fix. The entire project took 9 days to complete. Paver install, sod, irrigation, plants, rocks, flagstone, and some underground electrical wiring for an outlet across the yard. In addition, they moved an irrigation box that was in the way for the pathway of pavers we wanted them to install. The team lead on the installation team was thorough in ensuring the pattern of pavers matched the existing pavers from the driveway. We absolutely love how it turned out. Other: Throughout the process, Blas was easy to reach and responded quick. He worked around our schedule when it came to meeting for certain things and finalizing items. We showed him photos of what we wanted and he was flexible with changing things as we went. From adding and changing plants around to expanding the amount of pavers we initially planned. Once we realized we needed a new timer, he fulfilled our request to get it WiFi enabled to control from our phones. Pricing: He beat out the competitors and we appreciate that he didn't try to add on extras we weren't looking for. Overall: We're very happy with them and look forward to them maintaining our landscape going forward. The greatest asset is Blas listens to what the client wants and delivers. The team takes great pride in their work because they deliver quality. If we had do it all over again, we would select them without a doubt. read more

We met with two other landscaping companies (total of three) and connected with Blas. Having used a different landscape company for our prior house, we knew the design that we wanted. After sharing our idea with Blas, he was knowledgeable and confident in completing the work in the time that he set. The attention to detail and communication was much better than the prior company we used in the past. A few weeks passed and I noticed that our irrigation was still dripping. This happened after the construction guys dug near our house to connect water to the home that was being completed. Even after completing the work, he answered our call and came out to open the system up. Turns out, a rock got into the line and he cleared it out for us!
