5 stars all the way. We wanted to change out all the existing rock, which was a pain to maintain with 2 dogs. Also needed new grass, landscaping lights, plants, irrigation needed fixing, and lots of other small fixes. We switched out the rock for decomposed/crushed granite - which 2 days of having it, in I can tell why it's highly recommended for anyone with pets. Mike was great to work with, and went the extra mile to make our backyard look great. He even did a gate for us to block off an area of the yard for storage / so the dogs don't make it a mess again. read more

My husband and I got quotes from several landscaping companies. We went with Safari Landscaping because Mike, was the most personable business owner we had come across. We have a new construction house that needed a backyard quickly. We have a small backyard, and we really didn't know what to do with it. We gave Mike a general idea of what he wanted. Safari is the BEST landscaping and lawn care company I've ever dealt with. I have dealt with quite a few since I move around a lot of two other companies here in Vegas.This business is a small one. The owner (Mike) is such a nice guy and his landscaping techs are the best. I have never had a problem with them and I've been using them for awhile now. I did some research before I chose my landscaper and I've found that they had the best price, no hassle service and I didn't have to fill out any paperwork at all not was I obligated to a contract (unlike another landscaping company -cacti) and they are also timely. I pay my bill online and it's super quick and easy. The techs and owner are friendly and accommodating. I was honestly thinking of stopping my monthly lawn and pest control service as well as some other things because I was trying to save some money. On Wednesday February 14th I contacted Safari Landscaping through Yelp to get an estimate for my front yard. I set up the appointment for Thursday February 15th. The company was on time and after I explain what I wanted I gave him my email address and contact information and I was told I would have an estimate on February 16th which is a Saturday. I got a text on Saturday February 17th that the meeting was cancelled with his boss and I would get an estimate on Monday for sure. On Monday February 17th after hearing nothing I texted at 1:11 p.m. asking about the quote I was told I would have it that evening You're not receiving anything on Monday night I texted at 8:39 a.m. on Tuesday I was told he wrote down the wrong email address and after correcting it we emailed over some changes on Tuesday February 22nd and that he would talk to his boss later that night. On Friday Frbuary 23 got another email saying that his boss did not look at it and we get back to me on the start date again after not hearing anything I texted over and Saturday 24th do we have a start date Yes we finally have start date Was told we would have an email with specifics on Monday and after waiting and not hearing anything on Monday like text and was told sorry I had family over you will get it by tomorrow Tuesday so I basically what it ended up three days for the quote which I don't understand because you have all weekend to do it and nothing Start delay after delay after delay we finally said forget it we are going with a different company which kind of sucks for them because we were paying cash up front . read more

This is quite the awesome contractor, so he's earned himself a review. The owner, Mike, was a surprise. He was so laid back and relaxed to speak and deal with, as if nothing could make this man rush, but the moment he starts working with his team, he's on fire. I had him out here two years ago to give me a quote on things I want to do to the yard and it's a huge overhaul: remove stone, put in islands of grass here and there, plant hedges, install irrigation. He walked me through all the details, showed me several variations of things to help me get a feel for what I'd like to do, and then we discussed price points and he got a quote to me, itemized, in 24 hours. I haven't taken him up on any of the services for that yet, but what I HAVE had to do is call him the night before on an emergency tree care. Without a long story, I needed this massive, very dense, very full tree on my property trimmed pronto. As in, before 8am the next day, or else it would be not a good morning. He stopped by the next morning at 6AM and trimmed what would have been two hours worth of work of trimming and hauling away in no time whatsoever with a very reasonable cost. I woke up to a perfectly shaped tree, neatly trimmed. And I was able to pay him via his website! Polite, professional, and super-quick service. read more

I recently used Safari Landscaping to spruce up my back yard. I had 3 projects to do: 1- remove and replace dead plants 2- build a burrow for my desert tortoise 3- remove old rock and put in an island of grass I got a quick, detailed, and reasonable quote. The landscaping itself was exactly as it was presented in the plans. In addition, they found a root that was prohibiting my plants from getting enough water and they repaired it. This review is based 100% on the estimate process. I called and had some back and forth with Fidencio to schedule a time for him to come over to measure and brainstorm. He came a few days later, and did a quick walk thru of our yard, and even though we said we wanted to get moving quickly, and that he was our final estimate, he told us he was really busy, that he'd get us an estimate in 10 days or so. He also said if we wanted to pay, he could turn it around in 2 days.
