They had a nice selection of house brewed beers, which is really the main draw here. If you're into craft beer and want to try something brewed local, this is your spot. We ordered a few things off the menu: hush puppies, calamari, wings, and my wife had a salad. The calamari was good. The hush puppies were good. My wife really enjoyed her salad. So far so good. The wings, though? Not for me. They were naked fried wings with no batter on them. If that's your style, go for it, but I like a little coating on my wings. I won't be ordering those again. The food menu here is more bar food focused. Don't come expecting an extensive selection of fine dining. You've got your salads, burgers, wings, and basic stuff like that. But for what it is, it's done well enough. This is a brewery first, bar food second, and that's okay. The Verdict: it's a solid spot for craft beer and casual bites. The beer selection is the star, the appetizers were tasty, and we had a good time. Just skip the wings unless naked fried is your thing. As of right now..only half their menu is available. A the rest is coming soon. Reason being...the chef wants those items to be precise to their menu in Buffalo NY. The beer list..decent. I like the silver prize winner (won in NY) planer. I also like the cheer berry sour. Refreshing. For all who have the craft tapped app...they are on it. So get your bogo The food I liked my Mac n cheese $12 +$3 for the BBQ pulled pork. My mom however half enjoyed her salad. Lets digest that one: Southwest chicken salad: lacking description. No where on the menu was the type of lettuce used. However an ingredient that was portrayed was missing...the tortilla strips. The type of lettuce leaf used was arugula. You know..very jagged...makes some like myself n me mom choke as its hard to swallow. And the the chicken to lettuce ratio...80/20. Ie more lettuce to chicken as my mom was digging through trying to find the chicken. The service: receptive to feedback...as they should be...right? Being 30 days new...I would hope so. Great beer (my non-sour-loving husband LOVES their sour beers), great variety offered on tap. We've been in several times; we've split a pretzel and queso, chips and queso, and the sliders. The sliders were fabulous -- highly recommend! The queso dip was far better with the pretzel than with the chips, but both are solid options. We have not been by since their grand opening and full menu were rolled out, but I'm looking forward to trying more off of it! It has been BUSY every time we've been in (2 or 3 visits), but the staff got us seated quickly if we couldn't find bar seating. Food and beers were brought out VERY quickly. The parking situation stays a bit crazy as they share the lot with the rock gym next door, but parking on the grass across the road seems to be totally ok if no lot spots are available. read more

Always looking for new places to try. Came here the Saturday before st Patrick's day fully expecting to get the green beer experience. Was surprised there was no st paddy's day theme going on but still decided to sit at the bar and try it out. It is a nice open space with outdoor seating and 2 bars. They currently have a limited menu but we ordered the pretzel. turned out to be one of the best I've had and I absolutely love the 3 choices of sauces. Mustard, honey mustard and a cheese sauce which was light and delicious. I also love places that let you sample the beer before committing to it. They poured a generous sample which allowed both me and my hubby to try it. We ended up getting the bridge Pilsner which was light and refreshing. The bar chairs are not the most comfortable and they also do not have hooks for your purse. I am always amazed at how many places overlook this especially when the chairs have a round back that will not hold your purse. The place was busy and staff were struggling to keep up but they were doing a great job! Hostesses were also pleasant and friendly. We can't wait to come back. read more

Great first time at Resurgence brewery in Ft Myers. I stopped by there for happy hr and boy I was happy . I was greeted by the host and opted out to take a seat at the bar on the outside. Lori was sweet and friendly and made great recommendations in regards the food and the beers on tap. I went with Irish breakfast stout (yummy ) and juicy delicious Queen City beef sliders , I tried Lil Mo IPA as well , which was tasty too. Jacob, the bartender, took a great care of me and other patrons at the bar. Beer garten looked great and spacious, the whole place is huge. Next time I would like to get a table outside in the back overlooking serene Preserve. Great new addition to Ft Myers! I shall return soon to try their Dubai chocolate stout that they were out, unfortunately, the day I visited. read more

My friends & I visited last week for the first time. I had no knowledge about it but my friend's coworker wanted to go and check it out, along with the adjacent rock climbing venue. (I wasn't interested in that, lol!) I do love to try out different craft beers. My friends usually only drink Miller Lite so I wasn't sure if they would like it. But they did try different beers and enjoyed them. They ordered pizza logs, and I tried one. We enjoyed them. I am from Upstate NY and love Buffalo-based foods. Next time I go I will try the beef on weck (no horseradish for me, thank you!). I'm sure we will be back again soon. read more

We went for the opening weekend on Sunday and they were slammed, so we will need to go back and reevaluate. The beers were very tasty and a good selection. Of course, the first beer that I wanted to try was the only one that they did not have. The food was tasty, but the kitchen has no concept of pacing a meal. Appetizers ordered with the drinks was brought out with the meals. The atmosphere is elegant outdoors inside. They have both patio seating and indoor seating with roll up doors to open everything up. All arranged around the brewing and canning equipment. Our server was pleasant and well informed and did an excellent job and took the blame for the kitchen. read more

Everyone agreed it was good, but disappointing, not enough tang or flavor, kinda just cheesy and bland, if you know what I mean. New To The Area, We're Going Back We were in the area for an appointment and this brewery was nearby so we gave it a try. It's only been open a few weeks, but it was packed at about 4:00 on a Friday afternoon. The parking lot was full, but there's parking on the lawn directly across the street. There's something about a new place - current colors, modern, yet comfortable, clean and new. Lots of seating inside, but we chose to sit out on the patio. It's under roof, so it's shaded from the heat of the day and would provide a dry space in a storm. We were seated promptly and our server greeted us shortly thereafter. This brewery originated in Buffalo, New York and this is their second location. They are not brewing here yet, but a lot of brewing equipment is in place. They are bringing their brews down from New York. I chose to start with a beer flight ($12.50 for any four 5.5 ounce beers). My wife prefers water and as we have found at at brewers, they have great water. A servers stand was near us and we helped ourselves to water as needed. While waiting for my flight, we checked out the patio area. There's a playground area that loads of kids were enjoying. A large Connect 4, bags, and a large rock that that kids liked climbing on. Directly behind the building is a large field with lots of sticks and kids were kids - sword fighting with them, stacking and unstacking, just being kids. We had fun just watching them. My flight consisted of Nocturnal Pivo - a dark lager, Blue Raspberry Shandy - like the name, Dubai Chocolate Stout - liquid Dubai chocolate, and Oatmeal Stout. Their drink menu has excellent descriptions of each. I will say that the Dubai Stout was clearly my favorite. The vanilla, pistachio and chocolates all came out. I also had a Bridge Pilsner ($5.00). Described as Czech style, but it wasn't as 'Czechie' as other Czech beers I've had and it was very good. No problems with samples. Our server let us try as many as we wanted. Good beer deserves some good food and we saw lots of it being brought to tables. If you like jumbo pretzels, they have them and they looked great. We ordered a Crab Dip ($14.00) and the Barley Brussels ($13.00). The crab dip, more of a spread, was loaded with crab, topped with a hit of Old Bay style seasoning, served with a flatbread cracker and some tortilla chips. We found the crackers to be excellent with the dip. The Brussels sprouts were spectacular. They halve the sprouts, fry to crispy, top with some sweet Thai chili sauce and top with pickled peppers. Outstanding, even when they cooled off. Be careful though, the pickled peppers are jalapenos and they provided a kick that warranted a cold beer chaser. Portions are large enough, perfect for three of us to share. We were there for quite a while, enjoying the brews and talking and we never got the impression that they wanted us to wrap up and leave. After your visit, go next door where there is an indoor climbing center. They gave us a tour. Very impressive. We're going back soon. read more

not sure why we need this place. a new york brewery opening a second location in florida is weird. I waited on being served because the other bartender was eating brownies and wouldn't shut up about them. the place was full and the tvs at the bar were not positioned well so you could barely see them if you weren't sitting in front. the beer was okay some good flavors like the irish breakfast. very good ale. however i got a simple chips and "homemade" beer cheese with the "fresh" chips which were not. they came soggy soaked with salsa and covered in drips of cheese. they looked recycled from another table. won't be back for the food and probably not for the beer. we have good tampa breweries making better stuff. read more

2nd time here in hopes our 1st time disappointment was just a fluke. Nope. Great atmosphere is cancelled out by mediocre, overpriced food & crappy bartender service & attitudes. We had to ask for a menu, which you'd think should be an obvious thing to offer a customer when he / she sits down ... But, then again, we weren't even greeted or acknowledged, so there's that ..Do these servers know they work for tips? They definitely need improvement & training on acquiring customer service skills so we can enjoy a better experience in a place that has great potential. I ordered shrimp tacos that were barely filled & a bunch of stale chips without salsa...had to remind the bartender that salsa should've been alongside, so he got me a tiny cup that allowed me to dip 3 chips, so I had to leave the rest behind. What a lousy waste of $18! My partner's chicken sandwich was small, bland & also accompanied by the same crappy chips & no salsa. I think that was $17. Bartender never asked how the food was or anything & seemed to care less if we wanted to order anything else or needed napkins or water refill. We actually couldn't wait to leave & won't be back. Again, no regard for customer service. The couple next to us ordered abt 12 chicken wings but they never got the dips & had to ask... that too came in tiny cups. Terrible experience but ended with the best part, which was leaving a small tip behind for the small personality that matched. read more

Very excited to have a taste of Buffalo in SWFL! We've been a few times and the food is very good, the beers are very good just like we're in Buffalo but I will say, if you're sitting at a table for lunch or dinner....the amount of time it takes to get a beer (especially at a brewery) is pretty wild. We've been when it's slow and busy, both are the same. I'm guessing it's better at the bar, but at a table has been very slow and you can visibly see the waitresses waiting for beers to be poured for their tables. I'm hopeful that the process will get ironed out as the restaurant gets settled in but it's extremely slow currently. read more

No wait on a Friday night, but busy. Flight was nicely priced for the four samples. Food came out quick, but incorrect. The fries for chips was quickly corrected. Housemade chips tasted old. Needs seasoning, salt and/ or a dip. Bacon Jam burger is SWEET! It's heavy on the maple syrup vibes. Needed something to break that up. I'm guessing the garlic aioli would've done the trick, but my burger didn't have it on it and no one asked how food was after delivering the fries, so didn't get a chance to ask for the missing condiment. I came in with high hopes, left not caring to ever come again. Drinks and food was decent. I really liked the banana pepper dip. Their can of cider was lukewarm so I had to take ice from my water. Service was AWFUL. I was at the bar and I got lucky if they even looked at me. It was incredibly slow, it was a Monday night, and there were 4 other people at the bar. Food took FOREVER. It was just a sandwich and a salad wrap. I'd say try this place for yourself, I hope this experience is just a one time thing. read more

I never put negative reviews. I bartended for over 20 years. I was visiting my 80 year old mother who lives in Fort Myers, and goes out to eat every day! We sat at the bar in a beautiful establishment. Until we were "greeted" by the "bartentenders". This was 12 on a Sunday. I, and my mother are no stranger to foul language. I truly think if I asked our bartender to not use a word that started with f he would have been silent. The Entire bar was reacting the same way as we were. We decided to take our food and sit outside. We did.... Benjamin was our server, MUCH better. I would hate to see a great possibility messed up over this guy. Service extremely slow waiting 1 hour for all plates to show up when 8 of our plates got in at 20 minutes had to find the server after not having a check in after 30 minutes we all needed new beers and it was ridiculous we had to get charged twice because a server didn't know how to manage separate checks. Im a bartender and I would never take over an hour to check on a table the whole experience was 3 hours when it should've been just 1 hour and a half. As a long time resident of Buffalo, NY and now permanently living in Fort Myers, my husband and I were disappointed in both of our visits to the Resurgence Brewing location in Fort Myers. We waited for a while for this location to open. The wings are so so lacking that deep fry taste. We are both huge fans of Beef on Wick.
