He went out to his truck to see if he had the part- after 20 minutes, he came back in, said the part would take 2 or 3 days to get and charged me 65.00! Too bad they wouldn't tell me this morning that they did not have the part. Would have saved me a day of waiting for this guy to show up and 65.00 paid to him for basically sitting in his truck for 40 minutes- 20 minutes when he got to my house (I was watching when he pulled up) and 20 minutes to look for the part! Just checked my receipt- it says paid Visa 65.00 (it was a Discover card) and to the right of that it says door latch 125.00, labor 35.00 and service 65.00- an estimate for 225.00? Online the part is available for 80.00. So...tonight my husband and I are making a trip to Sears Outlet to buy a new washer. By the way- I love Sears Outlet and I love their repair people. Too bad our washer was no longer under warranty. It lasted 11 years with only one repair. How this business got an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau is beyond me!!

The technician arrived right on time, diagnosed teh problem, and explained everything. He was professional and took less than 45 minutes to repair teh unit. I was very pleased with him. I received a bill for $757.00 and which included a $130.00 service call, which was slightly high in my opinion for 45 minutes of work, but I understand that charge. The 2 parts that were replaced were a combined $243.00. They were a capacitator, which I believe is a common repair in high heat and a Hard Start. I was able to fnd these on Amazon for less than $25.00 combined. Prior to writing this review, I called the shop and was told the high cost is due to the technician's knowledge and cost to keep parts in stock on the truck. I explained that I do not have a problem with an upcharge of an item, but their profiting was excessive. I also asked if the cost was for the technician's experience, why the $130.00 for the service call. I also used this company approx 25 years ago, and the tech lied to me then about the size of AC unit I had and needed. I could not in good conscience use tis company again

Do not sign a work order agreement until you're certain that you would like to get it fixed by them because they charge a 35% clawback on ordered parts, conveniently not mentioned by our service tech. The cherry on top was being charged the enormous clawback on parts before I gave verbal consent that I planned on cancelling the work order. Very shady way of conducting business!
