You know you've seen that big ball sitting on top of the sticks on the edge of downtown Dallas. It's an iconic vision of Dallas, as representative of the night-time soap opera/novella of DALLAS. (Do you hear the music in your brain yet? Da-dum, da-dum, da dum da da da...) It's like a tall version of "If you build it, they will come." And, we did. We came and saw and oohed and awed with the best of them. My tip here is to buy the City Pass. You will get to do four attractions in Dallas for a much cheaper price than trying to buy each of them on their own. That's how we got tickets for the Geo Deck of Reunion Tower. I expected to spend about 15 minutes here, but surprisingly, we spent quite a bit of time. When you first exit the elevator from the ascending ride, you will find yourself on the inside portion of the Geo Deck. There you can interact with screens that will help you recognize landmarks from up above. There you will meet Ms. T, who is a delight and a welcoming ambassador for the Tower! You can sit in chairs and just relax in the coolness of the AC and look outside relishing the fact that you're 561 feet above Dallas. When you're finished gloating, then take a stroll outside on the observation deck and feel the breeze from every direction knowing that the air didn't first travel across a stinky cow or sweaty runner before it smacks you in the face and whips your hair around. FRESH! Walk around that baby several times. Play games with your friends about who can see the farthest landmark and be able to name it. Use the high-powered telescopes and zoom in on people sitting outside eating lunch by Dallas City Hall or the Pegasus on top of a building. Pretend that you are the Lord and the Lady of Dallas and the plebeians below would feel most grateful for a wave or a nod from you and use that hand to make their day. When your imagination has given way to hunger, then mosey on back inside and go up one deck. There you can sit in the cafe that moves 1.1 MPH and watch the world turn. Order yourself a sandwich or a salad, or wings and a tower dessert as you watch the clouds shadow the city. Neat thing to check out if you're in the area. Wouldn't have even known it existed if it weren't in my citypass book. It's attached to hotel so getting there is very clean. Ride up is smooth. I found there's not much to do up top except the view. Comparing space needle I found space needle had way more to interactive stuff to do which was fun addition. Reunion had plaques with information on them. The view is great, I went at dusk so it was cool to see all the lights turning on. Parking is nearby 0-4 hours for $6 so you can't beat it. read more

We had dinner plans else where, but really wanted to make it up the tower to check out the view. So just went up for drinks and the view. No review for food and service that comes along while dining. Once in lobby, there is a booth where you buy tickets to go up to observation deck. Price is $17/pp, you don't have to pay if you're going to restaurant. Elevator is on side of lobby and can take a bit to go and down. Once up to restaurant, the decor is very nice and the view is quite impressive. The walls are decorated with a very large wine selection. The tables are nice as not as close to each other as I thought. Bar is a good size and well stocked. The floors rotate which allow for a 360 view of the city. Over all, we had a great time and enjoyed the lovely city views. Would recommend going up and spending sometime up there. read more

Was cool to see but for me probably just a one time deal. This is because it was overpriced and really not something that take up much time for the price. You go up check out the views, maybe look at an interactive screen or two and you're pretty much done with that part of it. I didn't go to the restaurant but I saw the small concession area in the viewing area was priced as any tourist attraction. There were options such as city pass and night and day passes.... In the Hyatt complex but you can easily find the tower!! I just wish they could have signs to let you know you must go downstairs to get tickets instead of letting you wonder around the huge lobby which is nice and kind of Vegas style. Everybody was super friendly except the security lady; super rude. After taking away my tripod -because it was not aloud- I asked if there were some cameras that can take you photos as in the Space Needle. She just told me "that's not my problem." Oh my... Everyone else was great! They wait for me to even take a video from the changing colors of the elevator! Friendly, patient, and helpful people :) The view during sunset is gorgeous. You can watch the sun coming down and the beautifulcolors in the sky. Also, take a look how traffic changes and the lights in the skyline begin to appear. We just flew in Dallas that afternoon and didn't know what else to do. Most of the places closed at 7pm. One my friends found this tourist attraction close to our hotel. Luckily our shuttle driver was able to drive us there. It reminded me of the Seattle Space Needle. Before heading to the elevator, there is an area for a photo opt. You stand in line to get in the elevator and they escort you up. While we were awaiting the elevator, we asked am usher if he could take our picture, he refused because he said he wasn't feeling well and said that the last at the podium couldn't because she had to sit there. OK! Anyway we went up in the elevator and the escort was friendly. When we got up, the food area was closed due to a private party so only the snack concession was available. Not much to do there but view the city up high. It was a nice sight. Forgot to mention cost was $18 (no military discount) There were telescopes that was available to use. This place is defiantly one of those places that you need to come see if you are visiting the Dallas area. We came here during the week and it was $28 dollars for two people and $8 dollars for packing across the street from the tower (which was nice). The tower is was to get to and no line to get in, which was nice (make sure to buy tickets ahead of time). The trip up to the tower is pretty neat as well. When you get up to the top of the tower, you have the whole floor to yourself and you get a full 350 view of everything. They have an indoor section and an outdoor section that you are able to walk on (which can get slippery in the winter so be careful)! Place is great for amazing views and hang out for a bit. The tower is high but not to high that people with fear of heights can't handle it (speaking from experience). Great place to take awesome pictures! Staff here was also great! I had a great experience at Reunion Tower! The 360 view is incredible and it's nice to learn a little about some history of the city. We went when it was pretty hot outside and I feel like they could have turned up the AC inside because I was still pretty hot inside. There are free telescopes you can use which are cool to use and make things clear to see. Cloud 9 is a nice place to sit and enjoy the view. The food is clearly overpriced and I thought it was odd that they had food and a drink menu, yet they also sold cheap movie theater candy. Even though the platform doesn't move fast at all, I was getting a little dizzy from being on it. I wish there were more interactions because we experienced everything in a short time span and it was definitely too hot to stand outside for a long time. Besides the outside deck and several touch key monitors on the inside, there isn't much else to do at the observation deck but to try to find the right light for a selfie. They do sell chips and bottled water but no real food on the deck to be bought. The kids enjoyed it. The telescopes are free of charge. Unfortunately, no ice cream or shaved ice sold at the restaurant upstairs. It was excruciatingly hot and the kids were asking for ice cream. Local Dallas residents should receive a discount with our I.D, but they don't offer a discount for local residents. Fact is, it's the local residents who frequent that place. Nice place to see the view and take a few good photos of the Dallas skyline. The young female cashiers in the gift shop downstairs could try to be friendlier. They only nod their head when answering a question. The tall young man was the only friendly one. He acknowledged me and was very polite. read more

The Reunion Tower has 360 views of Dallas in the spherical shaped landmark. The admission fee was $17 to get to the top, which I believe was 71 stories high. Certainly a great tourist spot, as I wouldn't really care for aerial views of a city, since I've been to the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) in Chicago several times. There aren't any major landmarks in Dallas that stand out, so wasn't really a must see to me. You can eat dinner atop the tower, but wasn't impressed, as you can also have dinner at the Signature Lounge in the Hancock Tower in Chicago. If aerial views of a city are your thing, check this out. Visited Dallas back in September and decided to check this place out. We walked from the 6th Floor museum. This tower is located in the Hyatt hotel. Inside there are exhibits and an interactive touch screen program that tells you the history of the tower. It gives you a breathtaking 360 view of Dallas which is pretty cool. Once you are there, they do not rush you out so we spent a good 30-45 minutes. We went during the day but would have been cool to go at night but our time was limited. They also offer food and cocktails in the restaurant. We just had mimosas:) The staff was friendly and welcoming. The ticket was about $18. For $5 more you could buy the day pass which allows you to go back anytime during the day. Very nice experience visiting this tower. If you visit Dallas, check this place out. read more

There isn't much to do here other than look at the view, which is kind of the point. In that respect it's great. You get a great view of the city, especially at night. You have to purchase your ticket on the basement level and then you get ushered to the elevator. They only had one elevator running for a lot of people and that took a long time to go up and go down. That wasn't as fast as it could be if they had all elevators running. They have an outdoor deck with view finders. They have a penny machine for a token souvenir. One floor above the viewing deck they have the cloud nine cafe. That moves and makes one full rotation every hour. There's limited food and it is over priced. You wouldn't spend more than 30 minutes here honestly. Its the kind of thing you do once as a tourist and don't do again. Still a fun thing to do for an event! read more

It's something cool to do while visitors are in town. Is it the best skyline view? No - Texas is kinda boring and flat compared to Chicago, Seattle, Singapore, Dubai, etc. etc. BUT it's still nice and I enjoyed it up there. You can view from the inside and outside AND the beer prices up there weren't too bad either. PRO TIP: when taking pictures at night with the skyline in the background, have the person taking your picture hold a light (flashlight from your cell phone works) at your faces and take the picture with a camera with flash on. Picture comes out perfectly to catch your faces and the background. read more

ZThe Reunion Tower was awesome to experience. The views from here are phenomenal to see. The elevator ride up and down only takes less than a minute. When you arrive can park in the parking across from the Hyatt hotel. The. You walk up the hill. When you walk in look for the signs or just walk down stairs to get into the Reunion Tower. From there you will see the ticket booth. City pass or just buying your tickets you have to wait in line. After checking in at the ticket counter you will walk down the path to get your photo taken. For the price it's not too bad. Do not worry if you forget pay for your photo while up in the tower. You can still pay at a self help screen at the gift shop. While up in the tower you will get to experience interactivity with some screens inside and there are drinks and snacks available. Restrooms are easily accessible. The outside area is awesome and safe of course. They have wire like cables to you are safe up there. Enjoy the view of Dallas while you are here. We purchased the City Pass. I highly recommend it if you're interested in seeing the rest of Dallas. For family five it was $190 with tax. If you're not fast at sight seeing you have up to nine days to use the pass. Well after 30 years in the general DFW area I finally went up the giant disco ball when my moms best friend and her kids came to town. Came during a week day after visiting DWA to attempt to eat at the restaurant to find out it was closed for a private event. So we ended up having to eat at the hotel restaurant next door which was amusing because of a TMEA event going on that weekend so I kept expecting to run into a former band director of mine. Though they still wanted to go up. Honestly for $17 it didn't seem worth it to me ... granted I had two kids under 10 with me who were done after 10/15 minutes & were ready leave and eat. Then had to wait for 15 minutes for the two teenagers in our party to be done ... and another 15 minutes after the two teenagers in our party sat down with us for two 50+ women to be done looking around & paying for the pictures they take before you go up the elevator. So I ended up having to pay for over priced drinks & snacks at one of their snack stands cause the kids & teens were getting tired of waiting to eat at one of the little snack stands they have. So my outlook might be different if we got to do the restaurant side instead of ending up sitting not doing much for that 30 minutes for our group to regroup. There looked to be a movie but there was at least 1-2 school group there so I don't think any of us got in to see it. I really doubt I'll ever go back as it took me 30 years to go in the first place unless like this time we have people come to town that are just so focused on getting to go. read more

A place you must visit. We entered the reunion tower threw the Hyatt hotel. It was $17 per adult. Took the elevator up over 40 stories. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. When you get up to the top there is a small bar, many touch screen tv for additional information, and ofcourse the view. The touch screen boards give you access to information/history about Dallas, places they suggest to visit, theme of lighting's during events, and live cameras hooked up that you can control in real time. The bar was very small. There's definitely not a lot of variety of drinks, which is okay. You go up the tower for the view, not to get plastered. The view is absolutely breathtaking. You could look out the window from the inside or go to the observation deck outside. Out on the deck, there are telescopes all around that are free to use. Great view of downtown Dallas. If you are afraid of heights like me, do not look down. You will experience a tingling sensation all throughout your body lol. Talking to the staff's, they said that the night view is even better. We showed up and first the two members told us sorry we are not taking anymore people before rudely brushing us to the side , finally we were able to go to the front desk and they finally let us in. Lastly, When we got up there we only got to be inside the tower because they closed the deck outside viewing (the whole reason we wanted to go up) This was a complete rip off due to having a view through only windows. I finally visited the discoball of our skyline after living in Dallas 7 years. We purchased a Valentine's package that included 2 admission tickets to the Geo deck, a carriage ride and dinner at Cloud 9. The geo-deck is modern and laid out nicely, but if you don't visit cloud 9 or the WP restaurant, you go up, you look around, you go back down and you paid $16 to do it. Had a little time to kill before I needed to be at the airport and a lot of Uber drivers recommended this place to me. The site of the tower is a little confusing to navigate at first. The price is a bit much, but for the experience it's fine. This is definitely a one and done time waster tourist thing. It was nice seeing the city from so high up after walking through it all day and pointing out places I had been. I'd definitely never do it again, but I don't regret doing it. Reunion Tower is one of the most notable and iconic buildings in the Dallas skyline. A lot of people see this structure everyday, but don't take advantage of it and take it for granted. The next time you get a chance, visit the new GeO deck that recently opened up. The view is awesome, plus they've installed interactive screens that tell you about the different sites around the city that you're looking at from the tower. There's a cafe upstairs from the GeO deck that's open for lunch. It's well thought out, very beautiful for the adults, and very educational for the kids. The one word of caution that I have is be prepared to run into a lot of kids if you go there during the day. I have been to 560 before, but never went up to the observation deck before. I've been to the tower in San Antonio and the CN Tower, so it's nice to have our own tower right here in Dallas to see some sights. Take advantage of it! read more

I thought it would be a nice way to spend my mothers last night in town, so we headed on down, grabbed a couple tickets, took a goofy picture full of silly props, and took the elevator 470 feet to the Geodeck just as the sun was going Down. As you walk out of the elevator, you will find a small bar, some information stations and views, views, views. You can also step outside for a better view, if it's not too chilly. For a woman who is scared of heights, this place wasn't bad at all. I'd recommend it if visiting the downtown area. read more

I am basing my review of Reunion Tower off of the Sears Tower (now named Willis Tower). We throughly enjoyed Reunion Tower much more than the skydeck or Willis Tower. The premises of the two towers are the same, pay through the nose to ride an overpriced elevator to take pictures of an urban landscape. The main differences between the two are listed below Reunion Tower Pros: - direct access to the elevator : Willis tower has you trapped in a maze like tunnel system waiting in a series of lines, when you think ooh we are about to go up, you stuck waiting in another line. reunion tower you walk up and hop in the elevator and you on top of the world. -Direct access to go down : at reunion tower, when you're ready to leave you wait in a queue (while "secretly" a staff member calls the elevator) then your permitted to go down. This is one of those "do it once" things that I'm glad I did, but likely won't do again. We had a fun, memorable experience, but the prices are a bit out of whack. Trust me, there is some serious sticker shock when they ring you up downstairs. If you go, and to get the most bang for your buck, try and go up at twilight. That way you can see the city in the light and also when it gets dark. You can easily spend an hour or so walking around the outside deck and playing with the super fun interactive computers inside the observation room. The folks who work inside the observation room are really knowledgeable about the sights, too, and very happy to tell you what they know. It's a fun, one-time experience. read more
