I recently had a production in Dallas and the first thing I did after eating brunch was head up the 400 ft. Reunion Tower to get beautiful footage and photos of Dallas, Texas. It was truly an amazing experience to see the whole city from that perspective. Once you go up the elevator you have a panoramic view of the city inside and can also walk outside on a balcony. You can then go up another floor to the cafe/bar which has a rotating conveyer belt so while you are seated you're spinning slowly around the whole view. It costs about $18.50 and parking is about $7. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you're in Dallas! read more

Cost $36 for two of us to go up for less than 30 minutes (doesn't take long to see it all). I loved that you could walk outside and get pics of the city although I was terrified of dropping my camera. There are cables in the way so you have to angle your camera to get the shot. Interactive screens inside with lots of info about buildings you see & JFK assassination. This is such a fun place to go to especially at night. You truly appreciate Dallas because it has such a beautiful skyline! Purchase your tickets online it's much easier. Due to COVID the restaurant at the top of the tower is closed but at the tower there are drinks you can purchase but unfortunately no food. While the Reunion Tower is certainly one of Dallas' iconic landmarks, the observation deck is unfortunately one of the most disappointing ones I've been to. While the Dallas skyline and the Cataralva-designed suspension bridge are impressive, the remaining views were of fairly flat areas surrounding the city. On this trip, I was staying at the Omni - a short distance from the tower - and the view of downtown from my hotel room was actually better than the view from the tower. I do like that the tower does have an outdoor observation GeoDeck, but be prepared if it's a windy day - it can get really cold up there! Inside, there's a small sitting area and several informational touch screens, but really not that much else. The architectural style of the tower makes it much more interesting from the outside than the inside. The $17 price point really isn't in line with what you get, which is essentially a 50-story elevator ride, an overpriced ride that can add up pretty quickly if you're with family or a group. Duly checked off the list since this is just one of those things that I do when I go to a new city, but I really can't recommend it - I'd suggest finding a cool rooftop bar instead! read more

Solid three and a half stars, so I bumped them to four. We purchased the Dallas city pass to enjoy several fun offerings throughout the area as we were there for a short visit. The tower was one of the several passes included in the deal. We walked here from the 6th floor museum, which is relatively close by if you don't mind a brief walk. Moving the car want worth it since they don't validate and parking was cheaper elsewhere. The views are breathtaking. You'll have an amazing view of the city in a full 360 capacity. Definitely a picture stop. Staff honestly was not great. The initial staff that checked us in was good. The elevator staff, bar staff and snack area staff were just not good. They hardly spoke to any customer. They moved at a glacial pace and flat ignored people at times. Overall: A Go for the views, picture ops and use the city pass. read more

I came here as a tourist and really enjoyed the attraction! Although it's a bit overpriced, I still felt like the view from high above was spectacular. My friends and I purchased our tickets and we took some goofy group pictures to commemorate the experience. After that, we rode this really tall elevator up. I went during the evening and unfortunately, there was a hurricane warning and it was super windy at the top. Therefore, a part of the tower outside was closed off. Nonetheless, we were still able to go around the deck. Everyone at the tower was friendly, the telescope was free and we got a more in depth view, and I got to see cargo trains for the first time in my life. The view was super high up and breathtaking. The Reunion Tower is one of those tourist attractions you should visit at least once. You take an elevator to go up 470 feet in about sixty seconds and then get to walk around the Geo Deck of the tower and get a breathtaking 360 view of Dallas. The day we went, it was raining so we didn't get to see the sunset. We had to wait until the lightning stopped before they allowed us on to the outside deck. Its worth the wait! No matter how many people are there, they do not rush you out so you can spend as long as you want there. While inside, they have interactive screens to learn more about the well known establishments of Dallas. To go up to this Geo Deck, it's about $18 after taxes for adults. Kids under 12 pay about $9 after taxes. They offer a day and night pass for an additional $5. Right before you go up, they take a souvenir pic of you with props in front of a green screen. When you go up, there are photo kiosks where you can select your Dallas background pic and email a copy of the pics to yourself for free. They also offer priced souvenirs of the pics. If you want to get the great 360 view without dealing with other tourists, you can go to Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixty restaurant, which is at the top of the tower and it revolves. We didn't try it. Had some friends visiting my husband and I so we showed them around a bit. We decided to try the reunion tower. We parked in the parking lot across the street from the tower. $9 for 4 hours. $13 for 4-8 hours. Compared to Chicago's price on parking, it's amazing! We got our tickets and pretty cheap for the tour. $17. We stood in line and got a picture taken of us. $8.99, which we ended up buying. We waited in line for all of a minute. The group was on their way down and exiting the elevator. We got in and they took us up. You get a view from the elevator which isn't too scary. You quickly arrive at the top. Beautiful! Worth a try! They have activities upstairs you get to be involved in too. We got to learn about stuff in the area as well. read more

I have lived in the metroplex my whole life and have never gone up into the Tower. When you park at the Reunion Tower you have two choices. You can park in a parking garage that costs to park there or you can valet park. It only cost $8 to valet for up to 4 hours. We were only going to the Geo Deck of Reunion Tower so it made sense for us to valet. You walk into the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel and follow the signs to the Geo Deck. The tickets are a little pricy, but I think that helps keep out the riffraff. The adult tickets are $16 and the child tickets are $12. You then go through security they check your bags and are very courteous. You then have an opportunity to take pictures with a backdrop and props. We opted to not take our picture. An elevator attendant takes you up to the Geo Deck where the magnificent view of the Dallas Skyline can be seen in all directions. There are interactive touch screens that allow you to learn more about the area. I was very impressed with the whole experience. I will definitely bring out of town guests again. Reunion Tower is a Dallas landmark attached to the Hyatt Hotel. Its unmistakable top ball is a fixture of the Dallas skyline. It houses two restaurants (560 & Cloud 9), a new GeO observation deck, and the best 360 view of Dallas. This review focuses on the GeO deck and Cloud 9. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - If you live in Dallas, you probably see the tower every week. But how many of you have actually gone? Since it's a part of the Hyatt Hotel, there is valet parking or a pay lot. We opted for the pay lot, and what's great is the sidewalk is painted with directions on where to walk to the tower. It is hilly, but will eventually take you to the base where you can enter into the tower, hotel, or 560 restaurant. Note: In the evening there is valet for 560. Once you are inside, it's like being in a very nice hotel lobby. Lots of great interior design. My only issue here is with the parking, as it's tough to get too unless you valet. 1/2 Star. Service - Everyone we encountered was nice, friendly, and interested in us having a good time. The bag check folks were courteous, the souvenir shop folks were helpful, the photographers wanted to get the perfect shot, the elevator operators were awesome. And the staff at Cloud 9 were also great. The best part was they had Santa there with complementary photos! 1 Star. Facility - I'll start with the newly remodeled Geo Deck. It's outfitted with touch panel LCDs that give you a virtual view of the skyline. You can zoom in, zoom out, discover landmarks and buildings (I now know which the Comerica Bank building is and which is BofA). There's also a very informative Kennedy section that focuses on Dealey Plaza. It's an interactive system for all ages, and helped me learn quite a bit about Dallas. The Cloud 9 café is a simple café that offers sandwiches and kids meals. The best part? IT WAS PRETTY GOOD. I had to do that in all caps because I was expecting high school cafeteria food. Not here, I ordered a Cuban sandwich. Nice pork loin and shaved ham with pickles and mustard definitely satisfied. We also ordered a turkey sandwich (also good) and our kids had fish sticks and grilled cheese. They all came use fresh garlic chips that I would buy a bag of if I could. The best part of our meal? Our finicky kids devoured. I'm awarding stars on a curve so the whole tower gets 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Maybe. Reunion is a place I will take visitors too. My previous 560 visits were subpar so I won't be back. What I mean to say is Dallas has a gem in this historic landmark that I encourage anyone to visit. It's that GREAT of an experience. Not really worth the $16/ticket + tax (and $6 to park) unless you're planning on spending a good amount of time here. My coworker and I came on a Wednesday night since we were in Dallas for a work trip, and it was pretty empty around 6:30pm. The skyline was pretty, but since it doesn't get dark in the summer until after the Tower closes, you won't be able to see or take a photo of the buildings with the lights on. We then walked up a flight of stairs to Cloud 9 (you can opt to take the elevator instead, but you usually have to wait a bit), which is a little cafe that sells food/snacks in addition to beer/wine and other drinks. They also serve cooked items, but the kitchen was closed by the time we got up there. The outside part of the cafe rotates 360 degrees (very very slowly), so you can have a conversation and look up periodically to see different views of Dallas. I got a little dizzy looking at the floor, so you might want to avoid this cafe if you have motion sickness. Overall, there wasn't that much to do at Reunion Tower, so I definitely wouldn't pay to go again. I love this part of our downtown skyline. Seeing the reunion tower or the "revolving ball" which is what we say at our household, when driving from home or to home from our of town always makes me smile. They have renovated actually since I've moved here so it's gotten very classy. You can go up to the observation desk now and do a little visual tour of Dallas from the best view. The coat is just $16, and afterwards you can visit one of the classy restaurants or cafés there. Also check the websites but they do have packages available for purchase which I haven't got to try out but I did get to read about them, and they sound fascinating. read more

The Reunion Tower was one of my favorite tourist stops in Dallas!! I loved the spectacular 360-degree views of the city!! I used the Dallas City Pass for this attraction. But the Reunion Tower also has its own separate 2-for-1 ticket deal, which gives guests a chance to see spectacular views in the daytime, and then return that same night to see the views again in the evening! I didn't get to do that. But I might on a future trip to Dallas! There is a restaurant on-site. But since I visited on a weekday, I found out that the restaurant itself is open only on weekends. So I was a little bummed about that because I would have liked to have lunch there with fantastic views of the city all around me. At most, I could only buy snacks and a drink from a booth. Definitely check out the tower if you're in Dallas! I still thought it was worth it! I've been to the space needle in Seattle, and this tower was more fun. The main area has indoor and outdoor lookout areas. The indoor space wasn't too crowded, and had fun interactive screens teaching us about all the buildings making up the Dallas skyline. My favorite area was one level above. There's a rotating bar that was somewhat hidden from the main area. Very spacious, and the neon decor really complemented the more colorful skyscrapers and hotels at night. Super Chill Spot filled with all kind of wonky conventions and great sites! If you go to the very top you can get a pretty good view of the Dallas landscape and beautiful sunsets. There's all kind of crazy construction going on so if you do want to catch the sunset or make it at a certain time you will need to leave an extra 30 to 45 minutes early presumably When we were there we actually caught a Furry Convention and they were all over the place with ample security and the coolest weirdest people you'll ever meet in the world. There's plenty of parking in space and things to do within this establishment and plenty room. Great places to go connected to a hotel with plenty of uber and Lyft rides to pick you up in a very open foyer and do remember if it's a bit nippy outside the seats outside are heated! One of the very few places I've ever witnessed this. Host an event on their website and maybe even have a family ring Union. It'll take a little while to get bored here even with all the open space.
