I've stayed at B&B's all over the country, and I have to say this is one of the best I've…read moreencountered. It's new, and it's the only B&B in Berea, with the quaint downtown square right around the corner. The owners are quick to respond to any problems, the location is fantastic, the beds are good. Even the *towels* here are top-notch. When I checked to make sure I didn't have down pillows, I found brand new allergy shield pillow covers on high-quality synthetic pillows. When you stay in a B&B in an old Victorian or heritage home, usually that means dealing with a tiny bathroom, undersized shower, and so on; the beautiful old home that houses Riverside Gables was completely renovated in fall 2012, with nice big showers, new fixtures, and new floors. Guests even have a sitting room, with a kitchenette and fridge, Keurig coffee machine, spare dishes, and (my favorite) electric kettle and teapots for tea. Glass bottles of water are kept chilled for the use of the guests, and it was great to have that bottle of water to take to my room (and also not feel like I was wasting a plastic bottle just to have something cold to drink.) There's also a separate back door for guests. Breakfast has been excellent: fruit salad to start, juice, a beautiful omelette the first time I stayed and a Belgian waffle this morning. The owners have a beautiful Golden Retriever, but he is not allowed in the B&B portion of the house. Catherine is lovely to talk to, knowledgeable about the area, and responsive to the needs and preferences of her guests. If business brings me back to the area, I will *definitely* put this place at the top of my list.

A great little bed and breakfast. The breakfasts are tasty and their only drawback is that they…read morewere too large for those of us who eat light breakfasts. The bathrooms are sizable and modern, the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, plus there's a sitting room if you want to get out of the bedroom. The owners are pleasant and sociable and they've got a friendly Golden Retriever who's quiet and stays out of the guest part of the house. Second best is that they've got both a Tesla wall charger and a J1772 charger for those with electric cars, and the best thing is that you have the delightful Rocky River Valley across the street for driving and recreation.

The best Bed&Breakfast of all time! The place is very super…read morecozy. They have a small room for hot drink, that you can have it anytime. The rooms are always nice and clean. Especially their breakfast! Every time we go up to Cleveland, Emerald necklace is always No.1 for us to book. Love love and love this place.

So 27 of my closest friends and I descended upon this adorable tea room, located in a historic old…read morehome, to experience High Tea together for lunch. The home was built for the Gillis, well-known and wealthy Cleveland family, in 1863. Then, 25 years ago, the home was converted into a bed and breakfast, and 5 years after that, the first floor was converted into a tea room. Every inch is covered in sweet, kitch decor, and tea is for sale at reasonable prices. I can't say enough good things about this tea room. They were so accommodating for our large group and Katie, one of our servers, provided us a run down of the history of the building and business as well as everything that was included in our $25 High Tea experience. Two different types of tea were offered and the meal consisted of a soup or salad, a slice of quiche and fruit, a selection of three tea sandwiches, a scone, banana bread, and an assortment of desserts to finish it all off. It was a lot of food, all delicious and homemade, that was spread out over 2 hours of fun conversation. My favorites of all the food were the scones and Panna cotta. If you don't live in the area, try the bed and breakfast instead of your typical hotel for your next stay in cleveland! And if you are a tea lover, come here for a lovely and fun High Tea experience!

They also upgraded our room at no charge. All employees were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and updated. Only one small complaint was the water faucet was short and using the sink water went everywhere. They need to get new faucets that are larger to fit the sink. Breakfast was awesome both days. Food was plentiful and area very clean. We didn't have room service only stayed 2 nights. Not sure since covid things changed but we had plenty of towels and very little garbage. Overall great stay at a Hilton!

The good - pillows, staff, towels, and they accept pets…read more The Bad- the room smelled like chemicals and stale cigarettes. Especially lying in bed. Cracked and chipped paint on ceiling, looked like black mold was forming on bathroom ceiling. Breakfast was horrible. Someone over salted everything. The bathroom faucet had been replaced with one that didn't fit and I couldn't wash hands or face without water splashing all over counter. We requested a late checkout and staff knocked on our door at normal checkout time waking my husband up asking us if we had a late check out? Really! Check the computer first. Bathroom light kept going on and off. Hallway's were very very busy. Slamming doors, people standing in hall talking on cell phone. The ugly- I accidentally hit something attached to the bed frame really hard with my shin that left a bruise. When I looked it was a hard plastic square thing protruding out? Then I hit my arm on a hard plastic zipper cover on the side of the mattress? The dog walking area was littered with dog poop everywhere. Couch was old and arms faded. It's an older hotel with so many new popping up around it. Will try others next time.
