Since spring, we have built a pool, relandscaped, installed water filtration/purification systems, installed security and sound equipment, painted, etc. Just the . . 'er OUR usual move-in necessities. After decades of experience in this dance; and, in many more moves than any sane person could rationally explain; we have found (mostly) PROFESSIONAL providers. NOT SO, in Pensacola. Frankly, it has been a most unwelcome surprise of the sort and scale, which boggles the mind. Sadly, UN-professional is the rule, instead of the exception. UNTIL, along came the latest need for closets to be modified. This is where Closets by Design enters our Pensacola experience. EVERY step was handled professionally and especially accommodatingly to our difficult schedule. Jacob was prompt, respectful and efficient. Even with a curveball at a very early appointment, he absorbed the impact quickly and cheerfully. The job he did was competent and neat upon his departure. Perhaps, Closets by Design will consider forming a branch in their business; to charitably consult other businesses in Pensacola, on how to behave like professionals.

The company warranty is also a big plus. Cons: The sales pitch is over the top, trying to make you think that you personally are getting the discounts offered on that day. Please, just give the price in the first place. Also, items that I had requested ended up not being included in the price I paid. This meant a second invoice, with prices that were extremely high, was presented to me. The company did honor one of the extras after some discussion and I simply declined the other items with ridiculous pricing (i.e. a shelf that costs over $100 a foot). This didn't leave me with a particularly positive experience at this point. In the end, I will give 4 stars simply based on my installer and how my closet looks.

Seems they are not the local mover that I was searching for to move a half dozen pieces of…read morefurniture and appliances in the Pensacola area. They're apparently based out of North Carolina...so that's a bit disappointing. The guys showed up bright and early this morning and told me they were going to pick up 5 items (it was supposed to be 6) and this was the first indication of trouble ahead. The person that seemed in charge this morning didn't think his truck could get down the lane due to tree limbs and hanging telephone lines which is understandable, safety first right? So we walked down to the box truck (exactly the same size and design as the trucks that delivered our stuff in the first place, what a coincidence!) and I noticed that one lane was completely passible, but he said he couldn't bring the truck down and his boss was trying to call me. His boss (in North Carolina) asked me if there was a U-Haul nearby, so that I could rent a truck to ferry the furniture and appliances from the house to the truck. I replied that I wasn't aware of a U-Haul anywhere nearby. And as the appliances were upright full sized refrigerators, I didn't think that was going to be doable, and might remove the need for the big truck in the first place, so I told him that I didn't think we could do business. So his guys left. Hope they had a great breakfast. Too bad they didn't have a smaller box van with a lift gate, and too bad the men that showed up had a Can Don't attitude. As no money was exchanged there's no harm, no foul, but I have been hearing about this all day from my wife...oh well, I'll know better next time.
