They had several other beers from other breweries (not all local). I really try to patronize the local small brewers, as I can get beers from large scale brewers at plenty of places. They do offer a veterans discount, and I think also first responders (but not 100% sure of that). I do really enjoy the Tail Dragger IPA. They had a solo guitar guy playing. He was ok, except the volume was way too loud for such a small venue, and it was uncomfortable to sit through. When I came back 10 minutes later, it was the same pizza with no more pepperoni and the gentleman told me that they had counted, and that there was a max of 15 pepperonis. First, there were not 15, there were only 11 tiny ones on the whole pizza. Second, they clearly told me they would add more and put it back in the oven and instead gave me the same pizza, just colder. This kind of ruined the beer for me, which was really good. Very sad. All they had to do is make a pepperoni pizza with actual pepperoni and not a cheese pizza with some pepperoni decoration here and there, and then at least follow through when they told me they would add more and recook it. Worst customer service ever!!! The bartender was really nice though, so there's that.

On a Thursday mid-afternoon we were on our way back to the house from the Indian River Inlet and were in the mood to relax with a beer. Luckily, Bethany Bay Brewing was right on our way home so we took a little detour. The parking lot was pretty empty but to our surprise it was rather crowded. The beertender, Mack, was right there to greet us. She was very nice and helpful, did a great job explaining their tap list, and even gave us recommendations for other local establishments to try out. She also gave us an opportunity to taste any beer before we ordered a pint which is much appreciated! My dad got an IPA while my mom and I got flights (5 pours for $15). I enjoyed all of the beers I tried, especially the Blueberry Blonde and Blood Orange IPA. I would have been happy ordering a full pour of any of the beers I had in my flight (I also had Riptide Double IPA, Dark Seas Chocolate Stout, and Birds Nest Lager). They also provide complementary popcorn to their guests which is a thoughtful gesture. They have seltzers, wines, and ciders available for any non-beer drinkers out there, and I did see a sign signifying discounts for veterans and cyclists! If I lived locally I would definitely be a regular here. Next June I will definitely make it a point to stop in and have another flight of 5 beers I didn't try during this visit. We were very pleased with our short visit and were very happy we made the decision to stop in on our way home.

Bartender Trevor offered a sample of their malty nitro center of gravity english mild draft beer (4.5% ABV), and I loved the notes of toffee, chocolate, and toasted bread so much that I ended my dinner with two full glasses. Thanks to excellent service from bartenders Bill and Trevor, my solo total came out to a reasonable $36 before tip. On my next visit, I brought my family of four on a Wednesday around 6 PM. We were instantly accommodated at booth table 53 on the right side of the restaurant. They had recently updated their regular menu, and I decided to try the Korean beef bowl for $24, which features soy marinated sliced steak, vegetables, greens, an umami glaze, a fried egg, and spicy mayo served over basmati rice. Our server, Cate J., took wonderful care of us, and the total bill for the family was $152 excluding gratuity. Whether for happy hour or dinner, we will absolutely keep coming back.

With a bright bold colors and stunning architecture, the restaurant stands out on the corner. A huge mural of Delaware beckons the local purity. Inside you are greeted by huge brewing equipment in a two story grand dining room, filled with happy families and bustling servers! We always order takeout and they graciously save close parking spots for carryout orders. The online ordering allows for easy modifications and simple ordering. We grabbed a smorgasbord of flavors and made the entire family happy. The Fried Chicken meal comes with famous Delaware chicken and some fun twists of Gochuchang sauce and honey butter rolls. The fried food traveled well and is expertly packaged. On their website, they advertise Beer Battered Shrimp - and by simply calling in, the manager was able to add an order to our meal! Simple entrees. Bold flavors. Definitely a place worth frequenting on your Bethany Beach vacations.
