Great craft beer and a relaxing atmosphere! My family stays in Selbyville for our annual vacation every June and usually venture up to the Indian River Inlet and down as far as Assateague Island. On a Thursday mid-afternoon we were on our way back to the house from the Indian River Inlet and were in the mood to relax with a beer. Luckily, Bethany Bay Brewing was right on our way home so we took a little detour. The parking lot was pretty empty but to our surprise it was rather crowded. The beertender, Mack, was right there to greet us. She was very nice and helpful, did a great job explaining their tap list, and even gave us recommendations for other local establishments to try out. She also gave us an opportunity to taste any beer before we ordered a pint which is much appreciated! My dad got an IPA while my mom and I got flights (5 pours for $15). I enjoyed all of the beers I tried, especially the Blueberry Blonde and Blood Orange IPA. I would have been happy ordering a full pour of any of the beers I had in my flight (I also had Riptide Double IPA, Dark Seas Chocolate Stout, and Birds Nest Lager). They also provide complementary popcorn to their guests which is a thoughtful gesture. They have seltzers, wines, and ciders available for any non-beer drinkers out there, and I did see a sign signifying discounts for veterans and cyclists! If I lived locally I would definitely be a regular here. Next June I will definitely make it a point to stop in and have another flight of 5 beers I didn't try during this visit. We were very pleased with our short visit and were very happy we made the decision to stop in on our way home. read more

This is a homey feeling brewery. I went over the summer alone as I have been on a brewery kick and wanted to check it out. Much smaller than I expected but that didn't matter to me. I sat at the bar and tried one of their summer beers and it was tasty. The bartender who waited on me was a lovely lady who talked to me a little just asking where I was from and all. This place seems like a very chill place where you would meet new friends if you just started to chat with others. Very family feeling here. Highly recommend, great vibes and Great Beer! read more

My wife took me here on an adventure (her term for she is bored let's go somewhere new) We must say we loved this place, beer is cold and fresh. We ordered wings from Munchies they were awesome and delivered them to us at the bar. Sorry I cannot remember the bar keeper's name but he was awesome, can the drinks flowing and recommend Munchies to us. read more

Awesome service and great selections of beers served by knowledgeable people who know and drink beer. Not all the beers they serve are their own as they also have other local nectars on tap. The inside is a spacious environment with a nice relaxing outdoors area should you choose to be outside (it was too hot for us) enjoying shore air. They have games you can play while enjoying your beverage of choice and I also believe they may serve wine only because I saw a sign but whether they do or not needs to be verified. Prices are reasonable considering it is craft beer. Glad I visited and will definitely be back for another Swishy Pants IPA. read more

Bethany Brewing is a great hidden gem in Ocean View! The bar is cozy with an unpretentious hometown feel. It's the kind of place you could go have a beer and make a few new friends. They've recently started brewing their own beers. I tried the Sea Mark Saison and loved it. It's a great beach town summer beer, full enough to be more satisfying than a lager or pils but mild enough so you can have a few on a hot day. In total they have 5 beers of their own on tap (more on the way) and you can order a flight to try all of them. They also have guest beers which are quite good! I liked the unique flavor of the Strawberry Pretzel Salad (sounds gross but it tastes like a strawberry sour patch kid). The prices are reasonable and they give you a generous pour. They have happy hour every day and discounts for veterans, golfers and and bicyclists. They don't serve food (just light snackies) but you can order from neighboring restaurants. The staff are attentive, friendly and create a welcoming environment. It's great to see new businesses thrive and I'm more than happy to stop in on my trips down the shore (especially looking forward to having a few in the garden when the weather is cooler). I'm looking forward to trying more of their beers! read more

Friendly easy going atmosphere with an outdoor space where four legged guests are welcome. They have a mix of craft brews so they likely have something to please most beer lovers. Eat before you go or bring your favorite pizza or subs with you. There is an unaffiliated takeout nearby that i definitely do not recommend. Go for the beer and fun, not the food. read more

What a lovely place! From the outside it doesn't look like much... but inside it's so cute! Decorated nicely with good vibes and nice outdoor seating - picnic tables, fenced off outdoor seating with lights for at night. I got a flight - all the beers were GREAT! What a marvelous evening at relaxing and homey Bethany Brewing!! My friends were thrilled with the tap selections. As a non-beer lover, there were plenty of other beverage options, including wines and root beer!!! We had pizza delivered and apps from Munchies next door. Everyone can run an individual tab, which is way better than splitting a group check. The live music of John & Marc Acoustic was fantastic. Plenty of room for dancing. Definitely will add Bethany Brewing to the top of the hit list!! read more

Enjoyed a few beers outside in their picnic area on Sunday. Especially like the long board IPA. They also have a pumpkin beer which was OK especially for the season.
