It looks like most people get pizza from next door. Friendly/helpful staff. Funky cool bathroom. Indoor/outdoor seating. I like bar seating, which they don't have. My goto spot for Beer when I am visiting my in laws. The beer is perfect for the beach. I always stop when i am in the are for a Thrills or a Secret Machine. The beer is full of fruity flavor. Staff is always helpful and responsive. Dog Friendly brewery. Parking is much easier at this location. When in the are give them a shot. you will not be dissapointed. read more

This location was a perfect stop for our road trip down the DE byway. There is a great open air patio with a terrific selection of highly rated beers. One ding is that they do not have flights. A bit of an oversight for a brewery that has so many varieties to try. Maybe they don't want the complications of glassware and caddies, but I feel this is a mistake. We were already a little obsessed with Dewey Beer Co (literally this week we bought a beer fridge because our pandemic purchases have included too many different kinds of Thrills, their line of heavily fruited sours)... but we'll be frequenting this new location even more often than the original. It's a bit farther north and tucked a bit farther from the beach, so the parking and traffic situation are easier to access by car than the original Dewey Beach location. The space is within an industrial park and features both indoor and outdoor space. The gorgeous outdoor space has several rows of picnic tables with firepits between. The indoor space has several different types of tables/bar seating, and there's two huge garage doors that allow them to open up the space on nice days. There's a few TVs hanging inside as well. Tables are seat-yourself on a first come, first serve basis --- and I would anticipate a crowd. Most importantly, the space has 20 taps. When we were there, roughly half were sours and half were IPAs (with a few exceptions). I love a good fruited sour and Dewey Beer absolutely nails it every single time. I've never tried a Secret Machine or a Thrills that I truly didn't like. Their beer selection changes regularly, but the highlights on this trip were the Euphoric Thrills (brewed with Sour Patch kids!), Thrills: Strawberry Blueberry Cherry Pie, Secret Machine Orange Passionfruit Guava (this tasted like a passionfruit mimosa!), and the pictured Secret Machine Strawberry Blueberry Gelato. They're not currently offering flights, but did have half pours for sampling purposes. They don't have food yet, but allow food to be brought it and will eventually offer some themselves. There's to-go beer just inside the front door, allowing for quick grab-and-go purchases without waiting in the bar line. It looked like they had a machine for crowlers, but they told us they weren't yet offering them. TLDR: this is a must-stop every time we are in the Delaware Beach area and I am so happy to see them expand. read more

Food is not available at Dewey Beer you will need to go next door for pizza if you want anything to eat. The pizza is very good with some very good choices. Service has always been good when I was there. Indoor seating is very limited, there is outside seating if the weather is good, not too hot or cold. The beer selection is extensive and there is always a new release to try. If you don't drink beer they have alternative drink selections. A friend of mine only drinks wine, they had nothing for her at the time of our visit a few months ago. read more

Dewey Beer in Harbeson makes some pretty incredible beers. Loved the Swishy Pants and the Gateway Fiction, but my favorite might have been Light the Fuse. The staff at Harbeson were warm and welcoming. I have not been this pleasantly surprised with trying a craft brewery since I stumbled into Tree House when it was operating from a barn in Monson, Massachusetts. Dewey has some remarkable recipes. This place is wonderful ! Chilled vibe. There is a great selection of IPA's , wines, spirits. Nice inside , and there is an outside patio . If you want food , there is a place next door Pizza Machine where you can order your food from and take it back . Staff is friendly and helpful! BTW, bathrooms were very clean !!!!! read more

Awesome brewery! I've been to their Dewey Beach location and came in with friends here for the first time. They get it right with everything they do. Their fruited beers are amazing and really everything they do is incredibly well done. We sat outside and even though it was a hot day, we had a great time. We eventually got driven inside by heavy rains to finish our beers, but it was a great experience. They also have a pizza place next door, which is convenient since they don't serve beer at this location. read more

Now I should preface this by saying that I don't particularly like beer but the crowd wanted to go so I took one for the team! When we got there, I was surprised by how many options they had. They had a fruity beer called "Strawberry Pretzel Salad" which I figured, if I would like anything, it would probably be this. My husband got a peach watermelon beer that he loved. Our friends got the Hot Wax IPA which was a crowd pleaser and I forgot the name of the beer my girlfriend got but it was more like a milkshake and she just couldn't do it. I'll say my beer didn't taste like strawberry at all but it was sour enough to try to get it down. I needed help towards the end though. There's no food at all- you have to either bring it or call the pizza machine right across the parking lot. The service was okay. You're waiting for a beer on the weekends no doubt but I mean, you should expect that! And the ambiance was just okay. There's SO MANY people bringing kids that it felt kind of weird there if I'm being honest. But overall it was pretty cool and their merch is great! read more

We were visiting Lewes Beach and wanted to stop into a local brewery to try out some beers. I found this one and we decided to give it a try. It's a bit off the normal beach path but not too far. We loved the outdoor seating area and the inside was nice and clean and cool-looking. The beers we ordered were fine but the server looked annoyed the whole time I was deciding what to order and was just generally unfriendly - I thought maybe it was because we had my toddler daughters with us but then other toddlers / kids arrived who seemed to be regulars so it wasn't the kids. Everyone else who worked there seemed nice so maybe it's just her. The same server was also not very pleasant when we went to close out our tab. We were considering getting some beer to bring home but opted against it based on our experience with the server. The atmosphere outside was nice and chill, though, and we loved that we could bring our own food (we got Smashmouth burgers). Next time we visit we'll try the other location and hope for better service! read more

Loving the new spot. Dewey Beer Co. has stepped its game up/really branched out in terms of the styles it's brewed over the years, and the quality has improved tremendously. It's not only hazy beers and fruited sours anymore. The IPAs have tons of hop character, and range from WCO to Vermont-style to NE-style. Am a big fan of their Secret Machine series, as they're not as thick, and are more on the tart/crisp side. Harbeson has a great open concept, and sitting outside lends itself to great conversation. read more

In the state for the first time, own a craft beer bar/ restaurant and have tried sours from all over the US, because we travel in the summer, and scope out breweries, we are from Florida, and I have to say this is the best sours/ fruit beer I have ever tasted, the BEST!!
