Went back and asked for more pepperonis and the lady took the pizza back for me and said they would add more and put it back in the oven. When I came back 10 minutes later, it was the same pizza with no more pepperoni and the gentleman told me that they had counted, and that there was a max of 15 pepperonis. First, there were not 15, there were only 11 tiny ones on the whole pizza. Second, they clearly told me they would add more and put it back in the oven and instead gave me the same pizza, just colder. This kind of ruined the beer for me, which was really good. Very sad. All they had to do is make a pepperoni pizza with actual pepperoni and not a cheese pizza with some pepperoni decoration here and there, and then at least follow through when they told me they would add more and recook it. Worst customer service ever!!! The bartender was really nice though, so there's that.

The wild berry peanut butter J.R.E.A.M was surprisingly good, didn't know what to expect from a peanut butter beer but it was delicious. Luckily, the band was playing outside and none of this impacted our experience inside at the bar. The beertenders were friendly and efficient, especially with how busy Burley Oak was that night. I loved the atmosphere. It was a great venue to spend an evening. It felt like we were on a night out and there was a buzz in the air. Different from another local brewery we enjoy frequenting to relax and soak up some sunshine. We started at one of the hightop tables in the main taproom but moved to the end of the bar after a couple paid their tab and left. Burley Oak typically offers flights and single pours, but there were no flights that night due to the size of the crowd (completely understandable). We still were able to try multiple different beers and styles. I think my favorite was the Brown Butter Apple Pie, which indeed tasted like apple pie--delicious! I also had Sea Heathen, their Lime Lager (wasn't bad but I've had better), and a couple different IPAs. Their taplist featured something for everyone. If you or someone in your party doesn't enjoy beer, Burley Oak also offered mixed drinks, cocktails, and wine. My parents and I of course stuck with beer since we were at a brewery and enjoyed our selections. I also happened to get into conversation with the owner at the bar and he spoke to me like we were regulars. He was very personable, had a great sense of humor, and brought a bunch of energy. It was nice to see someone who was friendly and passionate about their business. We will be back to try more beer during our next stay in Berlin.

While making the reservation I secretly noted that it was husband's birthday weekend. The tour was $15 a person all well worth it! We arrived a few minutes before the tour started and we're greeted by Jeff. From our first meeting through the end of the tour he was AMAZING. He acknowledged my husband's birthday and even had a little birthday cake emoji printed next to his name on his "employee punch card". Through small talk we learned we had a ton in common. He was VERY knowledgeable while giving the tour and had answers to all of our questions and about most of the antiques on the property. The tasting at the end takes place in a speakeasy where you actually have to call on a phone booth phone and obtain the code to get in the secret doors. It was so funny and cool. The other guy working who answered the phone and talked to us before the tour was Richie. He was great too! There was only one other couple signed up for our tour time so it wasn't over crowded even though they max out tours at 16 persons. I was pleasantly surprised how detailed the tour was and how full of memorabilia and antiques the distillery was. A ton of thought and love went into building it. There is no way you won't love it! We were provided some unexpected souvenirs throughout the tour such as the employee punch card, a personalized "prescription" and a sticker. Jeff also offered to take a picture of each couple in the speakeasy. Overall I have told so many friends and other people we have encountered about it. I will continue to spread the word and highly recommend you go for a tour! Having gone on a ton of other brewery and distillery tours throughout the country and world, my husband and I agree this one is near the top! Thanks again, Jeff!

The desk of Thomas Edison is in this place. The bourbon was really good. I wouldn't recommend the wildfire whiskey though. Tours are every hour but if you arrive early head down the path and check out the beach bars. You won't regret this experience. They give you 3 full shots of the 3 you want. Just started seltzer like drinks and you get to try some of those too. Employees seemed happy here. Always makes for a better experience when the people that have to get paid to go there actually want to be there.

It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

Then someone directed us toward the back, where we discovered a huge outdoor restaurant. What a fun, totally hidden place! The floor is sand, the tables and decor are colorful, there are trinkets hanging everywhere and there's even a shipwreck themed play area in the back where kids can explore while waiting for their food. It has a laid-back beach vibe that's hard not to enjoy. Then there's the view. You're right on the bay, watching boats, birds, and people fishing. Oddly enough, seagulls really weren't a problem. The only one I saw patiently waited for a table to leave, then elegantly hopped into the sand, walked underneath the table, and grabbed a lone French fry. Smart bird. Service was attentive, the food was good, and the drinks were okay. I've had better cocktails elsewhere in Ocean City, but my mojito was refreshing. One thing that did annoy me was the cocktail menu. There were no prices listed anywhere. I asked our waitress up front, and she said most cocktails were around $10-$12, which is reasonable these days. So... why hide the prices? I know restaurants often leave prices off online menus because they want you to come in. But once I'm sitting at the table with a menu in my hand, just tell me what everything costs. One standout entree was the fried shrimp basket. Those shrimp had a delicious seasoning that really made the dish. The fish and chips was another winner...classic, tasty and well executed. The steamed clams were fresh, but on the small side. There wasn't any broth, butter, or sauce either...just a dozen small steamed clams. The crab cake sandwich was tasty, although we've had better ones elsewhere in Ocean City for about the same price. Overall, Fish Tales is a very fun place for lunch or dinner. It's about as casual as it gets. Plastic chairs, your feet in the sand, boats cruising along, kids playing on a shipwreck, and a great view of the bay.

The whole place has a good vibe and a great ambiance indoor and specially outdoor, not even the "stormy weather" stopped the good vibes or the crowd whatsoever, pretty full inside and outside when we arrived (still got sat down in minutes, pretty amazing). Big tables with space for us and all the amazing food and servers/bussers were almost always back and forth, even though we didn't always have our server closer, someone with help as well. We ordered sodas for the kids and 2 cocktails for the adults, their crush cocktail with orange and pineapple was perfect and very well balanced! For the food, MY OH MY, we've been craving the steamers for a while now and let me tell you, this place lived up to expectations! The mixed seafood steamer (with the crabs and shrimp, etc) was pretty much perfect and the crawfish steamer which the wife wanted to try (and I was a little skeptical about) made me swallow my own thoughts, everything was cooked and seasoned TO PERFECTION! As good food people that I am (we all are as a family honestly), I decided I wanted to try one last meal and went for the shrimp (skewer) scampi... never had a sauce as good as this one and the shrimp was not only cooked to perfection, it came with 10 total, which was AMAZING! Check was little under 200$ with tip already which I think it was pretty awesome as well since we all ate GREAT seafood. Would recommend this place and would/will definitely go or come back. I think we had arrived right at the start of it since the earlier of our group did not have to pay it. The interior of the place was very cool and filled with plants and plenty of bars. When we were walking around trying to find our group, there was live music being played with a large area for listening and dancing. We met up with our group and ordered a few drinks and were able to watch the sunset on the water. Our first round of drinks were so tasty and good. However, when we ordered our second round, the drinks were much stronger and not as tasty. I think it was a different bartender, especially since we had ordered the same drink of a long island iced tea. We didn't try any food, so I can't comment on that part. The bathrooms were a bit rough; I'm not sure if there was any working AC in the ones I went to 'cause I was so hot! The door stall in the one I was in also didn't close all the way with almost a full inch gap that you could peer into, so I had to pull it close the whole time I was using the stall. Overall, I would come early to avoid the cover fee and enjoy the atmosphere and drinks!
