We hired Reventals to provide games for a party for our teenage sons. We rented basketball pop-a-shot, air hockey, foosball, and four 50 inch TVs for video games. I personally was disappointed with my interaction with Reventals. Their website states that a small helium tank can be rented for as little as $30 and 18 cents a pound for the helium. When I took the time to call, I got a message saying that email would be faster. When I emailed I got several responses asking for increasing amounts of information each time. I finally received the estimate for one helium tank which was labeled an "order" and it was for a total of $139 plus the $250 deposit. Not as advertised:/ I HOPE this isn't related, but two and a half hours from my last email interaction with Christi, I started getting new spam emails about every minute. I've had over 50 of these in the last 3 days, all generated by the same "person" but from different email addresses - making them impossible to block. I'm not going to blame this on them, because I have no way to know who it was. However, it was a pretty crummy feeling all around. Update: the owner did message me and offer to work with me on a discount, so while I already decided to buy a disposable unit, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and erase the hard feelings. The youngest son of the legendary Doug Sahm (Sir Douglas Quintet, Texas Tornados) was in Texas doing a birthday tribute to his dad and he was staying in my guest house. How could I NOT have a concert? When I chose the date the forecast was clear. As the date approached that changed. Now there's an 80% chance of thunder storms. I'd hired 2 bands and rented a PA, stage lights, tables and chairs. Deposits were non-refundable at that point and the invitations had been sent. We were locked and loaded and it's going to rain?! {vacant stare} I needed a canopy. The concert was 3 days away. But, I had already had such a hard time finding tables & chairs. Formula One was in town and several other outdoor events, plus more weddings than they had in June. I went to Home Depot and purchased 4 10 x 10 canopies. It wasn't cheap plus it wasn't going to cover it. I couldn't find a canopy any where near Austin. Then I contacted Reventals and told Christi of my rock n roll emergency. I couldn't believe it when she emailed me that she had found a beautiful 20 x 20 canopy nd at a very reasonable price. She stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. Then, I found out what Reventals does, how they operate and what makes them different from all the other companies I'd wasted time calling. I wish I had called Reventals in the first place. But, you can bet from now I will. In fact, that next time is here. Time for the 14th annual "Flinging of the Balls" and I think this year we'll need bleachers. Loanables is a lifesaver and Candace's customer service cannot be beat! I've thrown many a baby and wedding shower in recent years and oh so wish that I would have discovered Loanables sooner! I'll now be utilizing them for any event I have because they make it SO easy. You fill out a form for what and when you need things, and Candace is quick to start looking around for options. She emails you all the different options and allows you to decide what will work best with your concerns and needs for your event. My most recent rental was simple. Bounce house for a four year old birthday party. I live in Dripping Springs do delivery fees were all over the place depending on which company was where. Candace sent me info for many inflatable companies but we ended up with Austin Bounce House because they had the most competitive rates for the super combo inflatable, had a banner for it that would fit our unique shark themed party, and even had a competitive delivery fee to boot! Had I not utilized Candace's expertise, I surely would have over paid and then would have been so dismayed when I got charged a more expensive delivery fee also. She got the contract set up figured out for me and literally all I had to do was sign and pay- SO easy!
