    Kolaches

Amazing bakery!! I was so happy to find a vegan bakery near me, and this place didn't disappoint. There are tons of options, so I'll be back to try more things. The bakery was super busy, but the staff were friendly and efficient and made sure not to make anyone feel like they were being rushed. I tried the sausage and cheese and the jalapeño popper kolaches. I also tried the Boston cream donut and a piece of sopapilla cheesecake. Everything was incredible! It's actually pricier than I was expecting though, which was a bummer......a single slice of cheesecake is $9, for example. That might actually be a good thing though because it'll keep me from going every single weekend!!

Came here about a week ago to pick up some cupcakes for my mom's birthday & needed vegan (for me) and gluten free (for my sister). I was disappointed by the lack of options when I got there. Not sure if I just got there after the rush or what. Ended up taking most of the remaining chocolate cupcakes because that was all they had (for cupcakes). I also got a couple of kolaches - the festivus & buffalo ranch. Everything was pretty good, though. I'd like to come back & try other things when they have more options.

First time here! I don't have any dietary restrictions, so I don't usually go to vegan places often. The vibe was nice and everyone was very friendly. The "sausage" had an odd flavor to me, but it was okay!

The best bakery around! We've had the treats in the case and custom cakes and we're always so impressed. I've gotten the Fauxtress more times than I can count - definitely a fan favorite and mine for sure. They take allergies seriously and ensure you're taken care of. Everyone is so kind and there's never been a treat I didn't love. The pop tart is my favorite and SO MUCH better than what you get in a grocery store. I can't recommend this place enough. They always decorate for beautifully for holidays and have a great rotation of baked goods. Highly recommend coming weekly just to see what the specials are!

Love coming here for vegan treats! Their supreme pizza kolache was very flavorful, and their caramel churro donut was spectacular! Highly recommend checking this business out.

Well, its been a while so i figured I'd update my past review. So, I've had a bakery in the past. So, i know a thing or two about a good treat; and Reverie has been my go-to for awhile...until recently. Reverie has always been my go-to for a sweet treat. The treats are usually good, thr service is as well. Even though, i love far from this location it has always been worth the drive to rely on this bakery for whatever tasty treats they baked for the day. Now as I mentioned reverie has always been a go-to to meet my dietary needs when I don't feel like cooking. However, there's just something about continually finding long blonde hair in my baked treats that I just DON'T like. It's something about eating someone's DNA that's just gag worthy for me. So, on my last visit my husband and I bought a ton of treats like we always do. As we were eating them ONCE AGAIN we found another hair baked in our food. This has happened in the past and we overlooked it (even though I usually don't). This time I just couldn't take it. So, we kindly spat out our treats, thre everything away and decided to never visit Reverie again. Now, I've come to realize that a lot if people don't care about hair in the their food. However, I do. If you're like me and think hair baked in your treats is DISGUSTING, you might want to pass on Reverie unless you're going to get coffee.

We were visiting family in Dallas and discovered this delicious bakery! Bonus points that it was plant-based and had LOTS of gluten free treats in the charming storefront. I bought a very good variety of things since I needed to bring dessert for a family event. Every thing looked delicious and I had a hard time narrowing down my selection. Service was quick, helpful and patient as I made my way down the counter. I went on a Saturday morning and there was a steady pace of customers coming in and out. My family members who live nearby had never tried this bakery so I was happy to introduce it to them. I was even happier stop see that all the desserts I bought were gone by the end of the night. Note: there are non GF treats here too but it's all plant based.

    Cheesecake is vegan and gf

This is an amazing vegan bakery. I'm gluten free and they had so many options for me! I don't eat dairy for I was excited to try the vegan turtle cheesecake which was really good, it was tangy and creamy. The service was good as well, they directed me to the gluten free option and gave me some recommendations. Aside from the cheesecake I got two gluten free chocolate chip cookies and a gf peanut butter cookie. The cookies were SO GOOD! I will definitely be returning.

Perfection... service was kind and inviting. They had suggestions ready but we already were enticed with the buffalo chicken kolaches and so worth it. No indoor seating but trust me they're so delicious that you'll stand and eat. And, you'll want more to take home.

This is the last time I eat here. Twice I have had hair in my food and it's just plain disgusting. It was about a year ago I had a hair in my cupcake and I stopped eating here but continued to take my wife here because she likes the baked goods. I just started getting a sweet here and there but today I was burned again. So never again I will eat here I'm tired of hair in my food.

I'm always impressed with the wondrous selection and tasty variety of vegan delights at this lovely shop!! They also have several gluten-free option. My day is always uplifted any chance I can visit. The best cakes! Cakepops, cookies, donuts and more!!! Wish there was more then one location! I don't make my way up to Richardson much. But this bakery is worth the drive! This is what dreams are made of. :)

Can't leave without buying the whole store! The Mexican hot chocolate brownie was to die for, might be my favorite menu item thus far!

This bakery sells vegan desserts. I like their fruit tart and red velvet cake. My vegan friends always order from there.

Fortunately, if you're not dining in, ordering from the to-go line is very quick, and there's even a comfy seating area in the front where you can enjoy your food and beverages. In addition to a double shot espresso I ordered, I also got a broccoli mac and cheese croissant. The croissant was expensive ($7.50), but it's hearty enough to be a meal. I wasn't offered an option to toast up the pastry, but I didn't particularly mind the coldness of the mac and cheese component of the pastry. The croissant surrounding the filling was flakey with nicely laminated layers. Meanwhile, the filling was satisfyingly salty and rich. Although the pastry was tasty, it's probably something I would only try once -- rather than something I would get regularly, due to how heavy the pastry ate. Overall, if you're looking for skillfully prepared, creative pastries, La Casita Bakeshop definitely fits the bill.

The one thing that freaked me out was I did see a bad bug in the place and notified the cashier. They were able to squash it but it did ruin my appetite a bit. She got another dessert that was a bit heavy for our liking that was also seasonal but the flavors were still good.

It was SO special. We haven't been back in many years and not only did that magical original location close, but what we found instead was this monstrosity of a location that felt hyper corporatized and commercial--in other words, soulless. Listen, we don't begrudge them their success. And we were so happy for them when we saw them being mentioned in the NYT a few years ago. But now Bigdash has gone full American--they've expanded to multiple locations, the quality has gone down, and that je-ne-sais-quoi magic is completely gone. We came here yesterday after a stellar meal at Khashoka, excited since it's been so long since our last visit. We walked in (it was freezing) and the whole place looked like a Disney-ified version of the original Big Dash. There was one woman working, and she was very friendly, but what a different experience than mingling with the original owners in the unpretentious cozy ambience. The worst part is that the ice cream is nowhere near as good! The original Arabic ice cream's level of rose water was off and the ice cream's stretchiness felt less organically created. The pistachio was OK. Our daughter got this crazy container of small individual frozen fruit shapes that were covered in chocolate. Those felt cute and special and we liked them all except for the grape. Again, we're happy for Bigdash's success. They deserve it. But we will not be back again because what we loved so much about this place is no longer. Tis the American way, alas! Three stars and sincere best wishes to them.
