This an amazing example of a bakery who bakes right. Once I tasted the macarons I looked into the chefs history - Chef Tida has a diverse and successful roadmap which brought her to here today. The sweets are made in-house (and they clearly do their research on the sweets) and everything I ordered was absolutely delightful. I ordered the Key lime pie - namelaka cream was downright lovely, I wish I could have more! I devoured the whole pie. Coconut lemon bar - the sable dough was the correct choice. The lemon with a hint of coconut balanced out the bar very will, id her this again too! Pecan Blondie - I'm a sucker for the chocolate curls and butterscotch which made this Blondie so delicious. Macarons - Carrot cake, vanilla chai, strawberry is what I ordered I usually avoid macarons because sometimes the temperature is too cold, the cream is a little too hard and the top is too flaky. But my God they did everything right with the macarons. Haute sweets is officially one of my go-to bakeries and I will brag about it to my friends. I was looking for an oatmeal cream pie cookie and holy smokes I sure found it !!! The cookie is so so flavorful and soft and to my huge surprise it was not sweet at all. I came with my dog so I couldn't come in the store and the staff was so kind to help me out, bringing me the item outside. I don't recall the gentleman's name who helped me, but he was the kindest. I love this little place! We had planned to go to the sushi place on the other side of Hillcrest Village but it was temporarily closed. Instead we had dessert first while we decided on another place for dinner. We tried the deep dish chocolate chip cookie and it was so delicious! So have it admit I first became acquainted with this place when they did desserts at Burger Fight this year and served their Oatmeal Cream Pie. It became my partner's favorite dessert in DFW so wanted to try some more items of theirs. This location was super easy to get to and when we walked in were greeted right away by the person behind the counter. They were super friendly and explained to us some of their, and other customer's, favorite items. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and I appreciate that. We tried the following: Oatmeal Cream Pie: Again, the reason why we went and was just as good as we remembered. This is not your childhood cream pie as it's 100% better. The big brookie: it was cooked well and the chocolate chip cookie topper on it had sea salt that added to its appeal. Definitely recommend. S'mores cookie: Another hit with us. Well cooked and you can taste the flavor profile throughout. Recommend again. Chocolate Cream Pie: So will be honest that this wasn't my favorite because I want to say it's dark chocolate for the cookie (not my favorite) and also since I had the oatmeal cream pie prior I thought it would be the same filling and it wasn't. So totally a personal preference but was still good overall. Recommend only if you're into dark chocolate. Tried the macaroons (Pastachio and caramel) both were very dry, not that chewy inside you want. I was expecting more from a patisserie, but sadly I've had better store bought ones. Honestly all the selections looked subpar. And staff seemed very grim so sadly there's no positive I can talk about. read more

A family member wanted to go to Haute Sweets so we decided to go there after having lunch a few minutes away. The location was nice and clean and there was no line upon arrival. There were so many delicious treats to choose from. It took me a few minutes to narrow it down to just a couple of treats for my first visit to the location. I decided on the mini cheesecake and coconut lemon bar. The mini cheesecake was very delectable and filling. I didn't eat the lemon bar until hours later and it was just as good. Came here like 30 minutes before closing but the workers were so nice in providing recommendations. The store is small and cute. We were looking for cake but unfortunately they dont really do a lot of cake options. Cheesecake was delicious however, the texture and sweetness is just right. The banana bread is so addicting, i couldnt get enough of it. I wasnt crazy about the lemon tart however, and could do without. Definitely will be back to try their other stuff! read more

The baked goods I tried were average. I ordered chocolate crunch cake. Didn't seem very fresh. The ganache was on the hard side and cake was a little dry. I also tried the vanilla cupcake. The frosting was like eating whipped Crisco with no flavor. The cake part was rubbery. My husband got the chocolate cream pie, which was 2 chocolate cookies with cream in between. He really liked it. My mother got me a red velvet brownie and a red velvet cupcake as a gift. They were both delicious and took me by surprise! They were decadent and rich. I could only eat half of the brownie at a time because it was so rich, but it kept well in the fridge. The cupcake was perfect. It had a cream cheese frosting that was well balanced and you could tell it was cream cheese! (I know that sounds redundant, but there are many places that say cream cheese frosting and it tastes like pure sugar.) I will definitely become a regular at this establishment. Wow, our family's favorite bakery has opened a 2nd location, and it's closer to home! What a sweet spot, too! Hillcrest Village shopping center is under going an overhaul - 20 years ago, the hottest thing in this area was Starbucks and Albertson's, now we have haWt! tex-mex restaurants, super sweet indie bakeries, and a community play-area for the kids! Loving it! The first time we came it was a bit hard to find because we were walking over from Kids Empire. It is across the lawn from Lada and the best place to park is in the very back of the shopping center. Lots of parking back there. We love everything - the cream pies, the cupcakes, the gluten free almond cherry bars, and lemon bars, mocha crunch cake.. yes, I could go on and list everything on their menu. It's a really great bakery, and you know what is even sweeter? Now there is a great place to enjoy these treats right outside their shop. The caramel macaron was pretty good, however I noticed that with all of the flavors, she tried to make it taste like you were eating that food I.e. strawberries, caramel or mango, as opposed to a macaron with a little jam in the middle.
