Lucy made two gorgeous cakes for my wedding this past weekend. She exudes pure sunshine and understood my vision exactly. I had leftover cake last night and this morning and it is still delicious! Just look at these gorgeous cakes! Thank you Lucy!!!

Lucy has been making all of my special event cakes for over 6 years now. She is a true artist and never disappoints with the design or the flavor. So many cakes can be pretty, but she makes them taste delicious too. I literally find the design I want from Pinterest and she makes it into her own creation. Thank you again Lucy ! I have attached some of her work she has done for me.

"Hawaii" themed cake - spelled anniversary wrong and I added the topper and flowers. Tasted great, but decor not worth the $$.

Lucy and Carmen had amazing customer service, and I really wanted to love them, but I was so disappointed with decor of the cake. "Happy Anniversary" was spelled wrong (spelled "Anniversay") and the decor of the cake was so simple. I felt like I could have gotten it at a local bakery for half the cost. The tres leches did taste awesome, so I gave the place 3 stars...but this is not where you want to spend $100+ on a specialty cake. For the price of the cake, I was just expecting more - I wanted a Hawaiian themed cake but all they could do (without using fondant) was a basic cake with blue colored icing. My options for flavors (vanilla, chocolate, or tres leches) were so limited. They were accommodating to add fresh fruit, which I purchased, cut and brought to the store. I highly recommend bringing in your own fruit -- it totally made the cake! The owners aimed to please, and were so sweet, but I've used other bakeries for specialty cakes that give so much more bang for the buck. I would definitely go back if I wanted something super simple or a delicious tres leches cake. But for special occasions, I would go elsewhere.

Del Norte is an amazing bakery. Lucy has done wedding cakes/cookies, and tres leches for two of my daughters' weddings, and my last daughter will definitely use Del Norte when her wedding rolls around. Lucy is attentive, creative, caring, and invests in her clients on a professional, yet very personal level. We love Del Norte and Lucy!

Ladies were so helpful. And decorated with a few words describing the birthday boy who is a Saints fan. Thank you so much!

Last minute, 15 minutes from closing time at 7:30 pm. Was on a birthday cake hunt 3 miles of the Joule hotel. This tres leches cake can hold up it's best to the best of Dallas' restaurant menu at CPD Provisions. Served after dinner, was so light and moist. $20 for a 1/4 sheet that easily served 20 people. Best kept secret find ever!

I got a cookie with sprinkles and 2 conchas. It was good and the woman behind the counter was pleasant. Best of all it wasn't expensive!

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful everything is. The décor is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. And yes...those are real trees. That actually matters to me. I love restaurants with a beautiful aesthetic because it makes the whole experience feel special. Good food is wonderful, but good food in a beautiful space? That's even better. The menu is perfect if you're dining with friends because there are so many things to share. We ordered the traditional sampler, and it was such a fun way to try several Guatemalan dishes. Every plate that came out looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. The cheese pupusa was delicious, and the cotija cheese was the perfect finishing touch. Then there were the plantains. I actually stopped our server to ask, "Do y'all make the plantains from scratch?" They do. And it shows. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so good that I kept reaching for another one. Honestly, they may have been my favorite thing on the table. The steak was cooked exactly medium, had a great char, and was full of flavor. Portions were generous across the board, which is always a win because leftovers are basically tomorrow's gift to yourself. The spinach artichoke dip surprised me. If you're someone who genuinely loves spinach, you'll probably be very happy because spinach definitely got top billing in that relationship. It tasted incredibly fresh, and it made me realize I apparently prefer my artichokes to be just a little more competitive. The service was warm and welcoming all evening. I ordered a red sangria that never quite found its way to the table, but honestly, by the end of the meal I was so full that my stomach had already voted "maybe next time." One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning more about San Martín's history. Knowing it began in Guatemala and is especially known for its bakery and breakfast immediately put breakfast on my "I need to come back for this" list. By the end of the meal, we were full, happy, and already talking about what we'd order next time. That's usually the sign of a restaurant I'll happily recommend. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh food. Generous portions. Outstanding plantains. I'd give San Martín a solid 9 out of 10, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

And while we weren't planning to do much, the experience was still a 10/10! I ended up ordering a White Chocolate latte and it was AMAZING! You can tell they actually put time and effort into their coffee and lattes! Everything is also brewed fresh! Which I love! My friend ordered a artesian hot chocolate and wow! It was probably some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was def made with real cocoa! We did end up splurging on some pastries, because DUH! It's it so hard to ignore the bakery section when it is so stunning and filled with beautiful baked goods! I got a oreo croissant and tortuga concha! I did not eat them (My bf did) but they looked so great! I did try my friends banana custard filled bread and that was great! I would go back for it! Overall, we ended up sitting inside of their beautiful space for hours, just talking and catching up! It was amazing and comfy! We def want to return for some of their dinner and drink specials too! Highly recommend!

I started with the croque monsieur, and it was exactly what I was craving. The cheese was perfectly melted and bubbly, and that hint of dill on top really pulled it all together. For dessert, the chocolate kouign-amann was a total standout, super crispy on the outside with those rich, sweet layers inside. I paired it with an iced chai latte, which was perfectly spiced and not overly sweet. They have a small outdoor seating section that is perfect for catching some fresh air while you eat. SHOUT-OUT TO KRYSTAL!…read more My sister-in-law celebrated her 60th birthday today with a surprise party, and we had about 40 family members attend! We all arrived between 12:30-12:45, and the party started at 1:00. I have to take a moment to give credit where credit is SERIOUSLY due! Our waitress, Krystal, was absolutely AMAZING. And when I say she was doing EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING! She was the only person serving us, while also having two other tables outside of our banquet room. Yes, our food took a while to come out -- but that was absolutely NOT Krystal's fault. She was working her butt off and doing everything she possibly could. She was attentive, constantly checking on our drinks, making sure everyone was taken care of, and paying attention to every little detail. It wasn't until toward the end of the party that I realized she had been handling this entire situation ALL BY HERSELF. She told me that the banquet hadn't even been put on the manager's calendar, so she basically got thrown into a party of 40 people at the last minute. And let me tell you something, KRYSTAL ROCKED THAT SH*T! Krystal, thank you so much for everything you did for my family today. You were kind, attentive, professional, and you never made us feel like we were a burden, even though you had been handed one hell of a situation. I personally hate Red Lobster and I don't even eat seafood, BUT my family will absolutely be coming back -- and I hope they come back specifically to see YOU! You did an incredible job, and I hope your management knows how valuable you are. KRYSTAL, YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for taking such great care of my family today! YAY KRYSTAL! YOU GO GIRL! Someone give this woman the recognition she deserves!
