What I love most is that she provides Polar heart rate monitors to wear during the workout, and your heart rate zones are always projected on her TV in the gym. This is helpful when you're trying to not only get fit and burn calories, but get heart healthy, too! It's an excellent benchmark to see how far you've come, as well. She has a clean gym with tons of equipment; free weights/bar, dumbbells, medicine balls, ropes, jump ropes, resistance bands, TRX, rowing machine, pull up bar, boxes, you name it- she has it! Becka is wise beyond her years in nutrition and fitness. Most personal trainers focus only on your form and weight when you attend. She cares so much more about you than your weight. She encourages you to set attainable goals, and be more in tune with your well-being. She's gentle, kind and so knowledgeable! I'm so happy I've found her, and that she's just down the road from me, too! Give Becka a try, she offers a free first week, free coaching and workouts online, too! The perfect fitness and nutrition package is right here in Grayslake!

I walked in and it was 80s day with the music so I knew I belonged. :) Hell of a workout - leg day, great first day ha ha ha! There were modifiers for the exercises and everyone was really supportive, high fives and smiles! Theresa was our trainer for this session, she introduced herself to me and then checked on me and everyone else during the workout. Peyton answered my questions over the phone and helped me with the waiver when I walked in (injury history and heart stuff) quick and easy. Overall, great workout for 45 minutes and I am definitely feeling my body worked out. Going back for core day tomorrow!

I like how the exercises can be personalized to one's own fitness and intensity levels and we can usually go at our own pace while going through different stations. We sometimes would get paired with someone - I guess so if we had a questions, we could ask them? Sometimes I would lose my partner if my pace was too slow or if I went to another area looking for the right weight to lift for the given exercise, but other than that, everything was fine. The bathrooms were clean, cubbies were available to store our jackets and personal belongings (no locks because no one steals here - I'm not entirely used to this since I am from the hood but I suppose with the membership fees, people have higher income brackets so no one is going to steal petty things. Overall, this gym has a great formula - good app for tracking workouts, help desk with support staff, child care area, motivational walk of fitness testimonials, and positive quotes on the walls of the gym. It is a great gym although the price is on the higher end for me. I will advise gym attendees to be careful with proper form and using the best dumbbell weight for each exercise to avoid injury. My month has ended and I will consider joining this gym in the future. Finally, I always look at the fitness level of the instructor for different programs and classes and the fitness levels amor these instructors are great so I definitely looked to them for inspiration and workout directions.

Soon as it turns 10pm all patience goes out the window and she is quick hounding people to get up and leave. She shows no consideration! My experiences with her have been short and I am quick to understand closing time. Today however, her behavior was cruel. Because it was pouring rain outside I was putting all my belongings in my bag so they don't get wet. She hovered over me until she could rush me plus other members who are waiting for rides out into the pouring rain. She stood at the OPEN door staring at me waiting for my ride to pull up to the front of the building. kid you not by the time I got into the car and open this yelp app it was 10:05 pm. I completely understand there is a closing time but this behavior towards members is simply unacceptable and cruel. I hope by writing this it can help the fit nation team provide better customer service to its members :)

I stopped in Aria Fitness, and was very impressed with the new manager, Eric. I can 100% recommend this place, as the best kept (almost secret) gym in the area. Here is exactly what I like about it: It smells good in here. An aroma therapy the moment you walk in the door, and they gym and bathrooms are always clean (spotless). The overall space is much larger inside, with two levels (see pics). Open 24/7! --I have a key fob, and can use the gym anytime DAY or NIGHT (nothing else like this nearby, AT ALL). They have EVERYTHING you need (see pics). Plenty of well kept equipment. Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes etc. Smith machine, leg press, and free squat rack. Pull down cable station , for triceps, rows and back etc. Racks of free weights, and nothing is ever missing. Tons of attachments, all well organized. At LA Fitness, I could never find matching weights/ attachments. Always waiting for machines etc. Here at Aria Fitness, it is never packed. You can workout and it feels like your own private gym. So, If you are overweight and like to work out in private. This place is great. A body builder will find everything they need here, with NO distractions. They do have classes and training available. BONUS: They just added an infrared sauna (sweet)! Management is doing a GREAT job! Eric is VERY friendly and attentive to the gym members. And, this IS currently the best health club in the area (Right behind 6 Flags Great America) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AAA+++++

I come mainly for Zumba, it's fun shaking out the blahs and getting some cardio exercise in. And if you're not smiling by the end of class, then you're doing something wrong. I've been to Kymberlee's and Tyler/Zac's class. Kymberlee has been in fitness for-ever, a major player for Bally's and Bull's Cheerleader. I have known her for years and her personality really shows when she's teaching the class. Tyler/Zac's class is also a lot of fun...quite different for me to have two instructors during class, but it helps when the routines are new and you get two different views to follow. The music is sure to get you dancing. Like I said, it's a smaller studio, but I like the feel to it, you get to chat with the instructors and they really try to get to know you too. Payment wise, they offer drop-ins, punch cards or unlimited passes per month. Totally worth the price of admission. Great place to channel your inner Fly Girl!

Well, once you look beyond the marketing scheme of it all, you'll see it for what it is : cliquey, disingenuous, simply a ploy -- headed by women who have no real lives and no friends in real life so they create their own little high school bubble. "Be yourself, judgement free" -- it is anything BUT as many of them routinely make fun of a girl who is a bit rhythmically off beat and out there. It's really all about the so called "cool girls" here ; some see this and do not play into it but many perpetuate it by willingly participating or failing to say / do anything to the contrary. In my opinion, most of them are minions of the owner, they don't think for themselves ; so take these "follower" reviews with a grain of salt. You may feel as if you have found a true gem, a feel good gym, and you are more than a walking dollar sign here but alas, it simply boils down to the almighty dollar. Do yourself a favor and continue to research and find an establishment that actually practices what they PREACH.
