Revitalize is a great place for a relaxing massage. I had Sarah and she was really nice and did a good job. The bed was really warm and comfortable, and the massage lotion that she used made my skin soft for days afterword. They gave me a bottle of water after which I definitely needed to keep hydrated. I've been seeing Jared regularly for approximately 4 months for my shoulder/neck and upper back issues . I have him do the deep tissue massage on the knots in my muscles as well as areas that are causing me discomfort. This past weekend, I was thrilled with the fact that I painted for hours, and scrubbed my front step for another couple of hours. First of all, I couldn't believe I could physically DO these chores, and secondly, I was not in agonizing pain afterward. I did notice some recurrence of knots in my problem areas, but Jared took care of them for me after a rigorous deep tissue session today. Jared is very pleasant to deal with, very professional and works hard at accommodating my schedule. He is devoted to his field and I'm so glad to have found him. I went to revitalize massage therapy today for the very first time and I certainly was not disappointed. The first thing that really stood out to me was that the receptionist was so pleasant and even offered me a bottle of water as I was filling out the paperwork. When the paper work was completed Jarod came out and immediately brought me into the room. He definitely made this experience so much more comfortable than I could have imagined. Jarod is very talented and clearly a master of his trade because I will be going back in a few weeks for another. I didn't have many problem areas, but have been very stressed out from work and mommy duties. Once I left I felt so relaxed and energized, and I've literally haven't felt this good in so long. I originally went in for a 45 minute massage but knew right from the beginning of the massage that I really wanted a hour. I was not disappointed, they are open accommodating hours and have a large enough staff that they were able to meet my requests. After suffering a lower back injury I tried tracking down a massage therapist and had little luck getting in touch a number of them, but Revitalize got back to me very quickly and I was able schedule an appointment with Shannon that day. This was my first ever massage so I had no idea what to expect. I must say I was very impressed with the experience. The business was a bit confusing in terms of parking and finding the door, but once there Shannon made me feel very comfortable. We had a brief discussion of my injury and medical history and she seemed genuinely sympathetic to my situation. The massage itself was fantastic. She really worked my muscles to nearly the point of pain, but in a way that was really fantastic. She found all the points that really needed work very easily and spent a lot of time on them. I am writing this review because one person really deserves this and much more. I have been checking out massage places for a while from the time I moved from NY to here and to be honest most of the places were okay but not the best. So I kept looking and came across this place called Revitalize Massage in Worester. After reading their reviews I decided to give them a try and I am glad I did. I called them and Jared informed me that the only appointment available was at 6:30pm which worked perfectly well for me. On reaching the place I was confused following the sign to a locked door. I was running around the building for the entrance and it was the mechanic who worked next door saw me in amusement and was kind enough to show me to the same locked door and informed me to wait. I was about to make a phone call to check if they were open and lo and behold the glass door was opened by the most beautiful woman whose beauty radiated from within her soul. She introduced here self as Caroline and she was just getting done with a massage session with a client. She had the most beautiful eyes and her smile almost lit up the entire room. She handed me the forms and after I completed the form she asked me a few questions and after showing me in and the regular instructions she informed me she would be back in a bit. Caroline is an expert and immediately she started working on my stiff back and shoulders. My whole back, neck and shoulder muscles were tensed and knotted from my workouts and Caroline knew exactly where the knots and trigger points were. She spent the whole hour on my back, shoulder and neck muscles and at the end gave me a quick head and face massage too. At the end of the session I had never felt so relaxed before. All thanks to Caroline. I have already made another appointment next week with her to keep working on my knots in my back. She also gave me a helpful tip to get a foam roller which I did purchase one on my way back home. Thank you Caroline!!!!! read more

Seriously. So, as may be obvious from how I talk, I'm from SoCal. Orange County. I'm used to being spoiled with...well...everything. Massages in particular. I have serious issues with my upper back (rhomboids) and not all therapists are created equal. Some are too soft, some waaay to hard and my back feels like it's actually TIGHTENED when I leave. I just moved here to MA a month ago, and the past week my rhomboids-all the way to the edges of my shoulder blades-were just in tightened agony. I felt like I had rocks under them. I found Revitalize on Yelp, (cuz yeah. California. It's what we do) explained my situation to Jarod, and hoped for the best. He managed to book me the next morning, he even came in an hour early so I could get in! And he was fantastic-found all the right pressure points and little tangles of muscle. Couldn't be happier. Once I find a therapist I like, I stick with them. I'm taking my boyfriend for a couples massage next week. I guess Jarod's moving to a new location soon (Oct 1st) where they will be offering YOGA. OMG. Definitely have to try that out, too. I HIGHLY recommend him for massage-especially if you have specific issues you're dealing with. A good masseuse is a life-saver. read more

I had been looking for someone to work on my frozen shoulder for a while and when I first met Jared at a Mental Massage Workshop where he gave shoulder rubs I thought, "this man can fix my shoulder!" I started seeing him for therapeutic massage every week to every other week for three months and I can get dressed without help and have returned to gentle yoga. Jared seems to intuitively know where the "sticky" spots are and is very gentle about unsticking them and increasing the range of motion. I won't lie. Sometimes it hurts but he is very aware of just how far he can go before it gets to be too much. Jared is very professional, warm and friendly and I would, and have, recommended him to anyone that is looking for a talented massage therapist. read more

I can't say enough about Jared & Revitalize Massage! I was given a gift certificate for a massage as a birthday gift from my boyfriend. He told me that Revitalize had won "Best of Worcester" for several years in a row so I knew it was going to be good, but what I got was OUTSTANDING! I'm someone who doesn't get massages very frequently, however, I was able to tell, right away, that Jared is very knowledgable about his craft. As I told him after my massage, it's almost as if the massage was not only enjoyable because it felt good, but enjoyable because I felt as though I was learning something! (When I wasn't melted into a puddle of relaxation!) Whenever he would come to a spot that was knotted up, he wouldn't just dig and dig and dig over the spot (like I would assume to do), but rather he would trace the knot back to its source and attack the problem that way - it was amazing how well it worked!
